England Riots
But employers are allowed to stop you saying anything bad about them on social networks and ban topics of conversation in the workplace and check social network profiles before hiring you. The first two of which most definitely infringe upon free speech, which is actually the freedom to say as you wish without being punished/criminalised for it by any superior body be it government or just your boss at work. And @range again with the random made up crud. There is nothing at all about the government "moderating" free speech just an idea of giving them similar powers to wiretapping on social networks. And blocking accounts that ARE doing criminal stuff. And you cannot enforce law without infringing rights it is a fact. You infringe their right to freedom when you arrest them; you infringe their right to privacy when you investigate them and try them etc.

You cannot enforce law without infringement of rights, that is a fact. And even then you're big argument point is lack of warrants and specifically bbm; which are both assumed details of the vague idea which only stated "social networks" no specifics about warranting or implementation or even being discussed fully in parliament. And you can't not do anything until proven guility as you can't prove guilt unless you do SOMETHING to investigate them and then arrest them and bring them to court for guilt to be proven. And "free speech" is kind of a myth anyway what we can and can't say is moderated all over the place. Racism and sexism are the big too, but also homophobia, religious status and many other have elements where free speech is limited to varying degree according to nation. Parents try to control the language their children use. Work places and schools moderate what we can and can't say. In philosophical terms learning a language erodes free speech in itself as you are being confined and limited to pre-defined and shared words and constructs.

Where this coming from? I'll tell you where: Made up land. All they have said is looking to put measures in place to block accounts where the account is being used for criminal purposes. We have 0 details other than that and its just pessimistic "erosion of free speech" hog wash to suggest that we can categorically say it'll by pass any sort of safeguard or including unjustified monitoring. Heck its not like ALLLLLL these things arent monitored already anyway by the parent companys Police or government agencies blocking accounts that they believe are being used for criminal purposes is invasion of privacy and infringes on free speech. That is a basic fact. Of course parent companies monitor messages and the like (and in all likelihood, police too), but taking any action against it is unlawful without a wiretap/search warrant. Criminals for go certain rights in the interest of maintaining law and order, and as I said before its no more a infringement than wiretapping etc. is. Its absolutely stupid to sugar coat the world and tip toe around trying to not tread on free speech and other rights when dealing with criminals, if you do that you'll never catch anyone cause you won't be able to handcuff them or force them into a jail cell etc. In order to deal with criminality you have to infringe upon privacy and free speech, among other rights, to a certain extent. Besides its not like we are proposing Guantanamo Bay... And still banging on about no warrant as if its a stated fact they don't need one, when no such thing has been said at all.

How on earth do you remotely "stifle" free speech by having measures in place to shut down social network accounts of people performing/arranging criminal activities in order to hamper their progress? It's no different to police powers to tap/block phonelines and intercept mail where criminal activity is taking place, you "free speech" is only affected if you are doing something criminal. Once you break the law you for go certain liberties in order for the law enforcement to capture and convict you. No matter how much free speech you have this is a fact of life.

And of citizens' rights to live in security without fear of a riot coming to burn their house down for no apparent reason other than the heck of it... surely you don't think an amendment to free speech that isn't even present in our constitution should supercede police attempts to stop criminality when it's clearly being organised through BBM? Organising criminal activity is not tantamount to free speech. Not when you shutdown others' means of communication, no. If you can find a way to target them without violating others' rights, then sure, you are free to do so. Of course, England doesn't have the right to free speech like America does, so this is mostly irrelevant, but it does strike me as very authoritarian that so many are supportive of shuttering others' rights in the name of security. Hate speech laws aren't the only product of that attitude, it seems. Shutting down parts of the internet in order to get in the way of trouble makers is what authoritarian regimes like Egypt and Syria do, not free democracies. They never said anything about a universal shut down. They specifically said about blocking the accounts of specific users who were performing the planning or w/e else illegal.

The as long as the underlined and bolded part was right I would have no problem with it happening. Yeah I can see the logic in it too applied correctly. Anyone clearly planning such activities gets locked out and reported to police.

The issue of using cctv being Orwellian is an issue about whether or not it should be there; not about using it to convict people as it is there. We have cctv all over the place under the pretence of catching criminals, so its doing its job.
-
England Riots
Thats what they are doing. They review cctv to watch people commit the crime then track them through the cctv system to identify where they live and/or get a clear face shot. Thus making it beyond reasonable doubt they committed the crime. There's even a name and shame website up with face shots taken from cctv asking for the public to identify them. Plus there's the very obvious identifying features namely they have loot stashed at their property, and facebook, twitter or bbm have records of them admitting to looting sometimes even with pictures.
-
England Riots
What does it take to be convicted? "Beyond a reasonable doubt" like in the US, or some other definition? As far as I am aware we also go by beyond reasonable doubt. That's why they are trawling through cctv footage etc to identify people and of the people tried so far while a lot have been convicted many have also been cleared or released to await re-trial when further evidence is available

How is this a correction? The tip.it guide covers how to complete the quest and has no errors or mistakes in it. It's up to a skiller to fathom how to remain as such not for tip.it to clutter up guides with random notes that don't contribute to the primary purpose of guiding how to complete/use the content.

Which skill is worth giving assistance more towards?
I never said they were fast methods; I said they made profit.
-
England Riots
This, they havent even processed the bulk of cctv footage or data passed by bbm, twitter, fb etc. and they have courts running 24/7 and have already sentenced like 100+ people in london alone. Combine that with increased police numbers, water cannons allowed to be used and the mass clean up movements showing public opinion agaisnt the rioters; i think all but the most stupid rioters are getting to the point they realise they are gonna be caught and carrying on isn't gonna make them money. And thats without even considering most councils have officially stated they will be starting proceedings to evict people convicted of looting as they are not the type of people they want in their city.
-
Which skill is worth giving assistance more towards?
I don't think it hugely matters. Both skills are relatively cheap to train, even possible to profit on if you so desire. Eg smithing cannon balls still make good money i believe, crafting battlestaves (bought from naff) and then alching them makes about 2k a staff.

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
I did the whole thing on the Sunday just gone so it can't have been removed two weeks ago. Chances are, it ended with yesterdays update. I did say ended not removed. I just said it usually gets removed about a week after it ends and that it did end two weeks ago. Ergo one would expect it to of been removed by now hence the guy who said the answer is "wrong" as the person won't speak to them.

I doubt that youths who feel they have a viable future would risk it all for a pair of trainers. Then you are completely out of touch with youth culture and should not comment. Plenty of youths gladly will do this stuff INSPITE of a viable future being open to them. And don;t try and write me off as somebody who has no idea. I went to an under funded black hole of a school. I by no means live in luxury of any kinda, my house is ex-council house bought from them like 50 years ago. Lived on a relatively tight budget all my life. Went to a college that wasn't exactly the best college in the world, bit dilapidated. Sure I'm not from the absolutely roughest estates of a city, but that doesn't make a huuuuggge difference to the opportunities afforded me or future opportunities out there. Plus half the youths who do have no future are there by choice due to getting pregnant or getting kicked out of school, it's not the government or anybody elses fault they mucked up their own life early on.

Shadow-forger Ihlakhizan
The beasitary says: Its most dangerous attack is a blast of energy, which it charges up, getting a yellow glow around it for a second. You must hide behind a pillar or use a gatestone teleport to avoid this attack. If you get hit by it, you will take a large amount of damage, and your combat stats will be significantly decreased. It does not have a damage type, so prayers are useless against it. So wheres the correction? It tells you both options (tele or hide) and bolds hide to emphasis it is the easier and better choice.
