  1. Barrow isn't a mini-game as such though. It's just a unique mechanic dungeon just with a very specific goal; much like smoky well, swamp caves etc. I wouldn't compare Barrows to the smokey well, but I know what your saying. Even so, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make Barrows a method of obtaining it. Considering they said it would be available from a variety of different ones I'd imagine they're going to implement some kind of universal minigame currency or something. I'd agree but if they are doing that why release temple trekking upgrade without it a week early?
  2. Exterior areas: dust at will Ventilation filters etc: remove and dust or run over with a hoover carefully Inside the case itself: use a can of compressed air or thoroughly clean and dry an old spray gun (the kind u get window cleans etc in) and use that to spray air to get the dust off the components & out of the case as much as possible. Then you can use a small hoover nozzle to gently pick up from the base of the case carefully or use an anti-static clothe to wipe it out.

  4. Ceremonial swords probably would; but the others shouldn't come that high perhaps 10-15mil max
  5. It entirely depends what you do. Doing mining tracks stuff is slow as hell but free. Doing burial armour its relatively cheap and reasonable xp, especially if you do ingot 1 rather than ingot 3 and on iron. Cannon repair costs a little more but is pretty fast favour. Ceremonial swords if epic xp but costs and absolutely fortune. Though ceremonial swords if you work the maths out you only need 32% success rate on rune for it to be cheaper than using rune in normal smithing; which is something I guess. Ceremonial swords work out to 300k+ xp an hour on mith upwards. You need 150% favour to get royal cannon. If you do cannons you'll get through fairly cheaply and quickly. Burial armour will give you balance of xp and favour but take longer. Ceremonial swords may get you through fairly fast favour wise and with a lot of xp but costs a fortune. If you want to buy all rewards to tick off and completionist cape task you'e looking at 440% favour
  6. Is draconic substantially better drop rate? Or is it simialr to carrion? Also is fact draconic is in the north(?) area better for hunting it as traps in south area seems to be failzor.
  7. True but it's still debatable in the worth of upgrading to dragon as the stat changes are so minor.
  8. Just a note to say I've got all levels as you other than 31 roylane and 41 smiddi and I have had a lot of bogs without a single branch lose. But yeah rest of what you say is good stuffs too, hopefully crew come by here soon to sort out the guide that kinda has a lot of flaws/lack of info atm. Oh and couple more detail to add that would be handy: The message about firm/soft in bog event comes up quite early in the animation but the animation takes ages. If you have use branch ready once this message has appeared you can click another spot (further into the bog if firm or beside you if soft) to get the second test completed instantly with no animation. Druid pouch is not strictly necessary any more, other than food wastage, as the followers all carry one and expose ghasts for you. And vampyre events talking to follower: You're alone on this one. I have no weaponry to deal with these. Sorry! So yeah they don't attack, and the vampyres seem to leave them alone too, followers also don't attack the boat monster and lumberjacks. Skeletons in the graveyard also seem to be ignored. All these monsters equally ignore followers. Graveyard also worth noting the holy energy radius reaches to 1 square outside the central fence
  9. In a word: No. Side-note barrows is easily usable in mini-games it does last 15 hours of combat afterall, which assuming you only play ~5 hours a day max and then factor in that you are not in combat all the time is gonna leave you with 4+ days between repairs. Even so whatever angle you look at it, you are still getting 15 hours same as you would outside a mini-game, plus whack an armour repair stand in you're poh and your smithing level eats away at the cost up to a 50%(?) reduction at lvl 99
  10. Yup as recon pointed out the paragraph right below follower table about their level effecting monsters is incorrect and outdated. The bog no longer steals sticks either. The smiddi and Rolayne descriptions are wrong, as pointed out Smiddi will retaliate and from lvl 20+ Rolayne does attack just like all the others; he's jsut not very strong. Plus Roylane's level 20 upgrade needs to note it makes him fight as well And Smiddi's lvl 99 upgrade is NOT for her. Her heal other deals no damage to her; the 99 upgrade is for the player and upgrades the heal other spell to heal more and damage less. Also you have starred the "critical upgrade" levels in the follower table, but not explained the star below eg: *This level is the followers critical upgrade it notes the biggest increase in their combat abilities and unlocks a few new behaviours: Followers can now run Followers will now engage in combat more readily (with the exception of Smiddi who engages in healing you instead) Followers will light a fire for you in the campsite event Followers will cut three logs for you in both variants of the bridge event Followers can now see ahead, see Choosing a Route below for more details. And a few other notes that could probably be added somewhere: 1) Pre-critical upgrade followers only retaliate or actively attack what you attack. 2) Talking to your follower in a combat event, at any level, will prompt them to actively chase down enemies 3) Food is not a 100% fail safe, if they are taking heavy damage they can still "die" and teleport out 4) If you use the "escape event" path or get disconnected the follower will be waiting for you at the sign and offer the chance to continue where you left off. 5) Followers gain experience for completing events; but it is a much slower rate than for fighting. 6) Both shortcuts can be toggled and are turned off when unlocked 7) All item rewards must be claimed by clicking on the upgrade of the character at the noticeboard (applies for toggling zachory's shortcut too) 8) Ghast reward costs 50,000gp for 1 pouch and 15 scrolls 9) Follower levels start at 1 and jump to 4,8,12,16 before continuing to level 1 at a time (eg 1st lvl up gives them 4, 2nd 8, 3rd 12, 4th 16, 5th 17, 6th 18 etc) Bold bit: This is also inaccurate; the number of events is entirely random. I've had all easy roads go on for 5 or 6 events while I've had hard only routes last 1 or 2 events. Going hard is no guarantee of a longer trek. Italic bit: Also sort of inaccurate, by watching follower levels it is clear the campsite event gives a massive amount of xp and thus is giving more than combat events. Would be better to clarify Combat events usually lead to better rewards, and even then i'd doubt its truth. My rewards seem pretty balanced some skill events add a lot to reward eg campsite while some combat events eg vampyres and vyrewatch and boat monster add very little as the follower does nothing. Underline bit: Rather misleading again, follower level/tier plays a huge factor it's fairly common to get red rewards on the easy route with Smiddi and Roylane into the mid 20s and equally in the early levels even Pazuzu and Dean can give the odd red on easy. Conversely at 80-99 on hard route Pazuzu and Dean often give blue and the odd yellow but almost never red; maxed out even Jayene and Zachory are skimpy on the reds on hard routes. Also that entire paragrpah seems oddly placed, jsut sort of wedged in under the hints for no good reason.
  11. Actually they can see ahead when they get their "critical upgrade" which is also the upgrade that allows them to run and makes them do other useful tasks such as cutting logs for you in bridge event and lighting fire in sick people event. The critical level varies alot: 75 for Jayene and Pazuzu which is when they get dark bow and sol/fire wave 80 for Dean when he gets bandos and whip 79 for Zachory when he gets new robes and fire blast 20 for Rolayne when he learns to run and gains the ability to fight 92 for smiddi when she gets heal other* *Smiddi's critical level is speculative, I have personally achieved all others though, Smiddi's is assumed to be that level as it is the only true "combat" upgrade she gets and all others critical upgrade is their major combat upgrade with new equipment included. Plus checking the gen discussion thread on update people got Smiddi up to 89 with no critical upgrade yet.
  12. AFAIK all outfits do the weird sort of stacking. So if its worth 100xp normally Suit gives 2.5xp bonus tool gives 100xp boost So you get 202.5xp
  13. I'd suspect it to be the thieving stuff its got tht sort of vague desert, ninja, stealthy look about it The thieving gear is "shadow wraps" i expect it to be robe like with a wrapped headdress. The antlers at the top make me think of summoning, so either this is the necro gear they were talking about or you can store scrolls in the helm of the level 85 gear. It has a wrap thing under the armour and jagex armour descriptions pre-launch are rarely inline with what you'd expect.

  15. the slight delay last week and then further delay this week probably delayed the quest, but the mini-game rewards are probably simple enough to be ready ahead of time.
  16. Yeah from what I've heard/seen the "critical upgrade" that induces running and forward vision is 75 for Jayene and Pazuzu which is when they get dark bow and sol/fire wave 80 for Dean when he gets bandos and whip 79 for Zachory when he gets new robes and fire blast 20 for Rolayne when he learns to run and 92 for smiddi when she gets heal other
  17. I never said bosses so you're counter to my suggestion of use is flawed in that respect; it's obvious ghast isn't remotely useful for bosses. I said for camping a monster for training purposes with no significant drops. Also ghast and uni do equal job. uni does 10% lp so max of 99 Ghast does 10 prayer points In both cases 10 scrolls = full restoration. So in the situation I suggested of a monster with no substantial drops that don't alch or stack but is nice xp rate it would easily win out in use with soulsplit to heal as needed. Summon pot restores 15 points to the bar. Natural recharge is 15 points every 30 seconds. So as long as you are not taking heavy damage and thus don't permanently have prayer on ghast can win out fairly easily, as special restore rate would outmatch the need to use scrolls and you'd only need summon pots for the odd emergency. As long as you only need to flick soulsplit on briefly to heal once every 30 seconds max then you can easily use scrolls pot free. If you need it on a bit longer you have about ~1.5 minutes between uses using no pots. So with the right monster you could easily camp for several days, the only limiter being when you run out of pouches to renew with/re-summon assuming you allow it to lapse when un-needed. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying this is some sweeping familiar with a mass of uses and there are a lot of situations it is of course no use; and using most efficient training methods it'll be of no use. I am simply suggesting one very specific arrangement in which it would be very useful; in the same way other items and objects in game have 1 or 2 very specific areas n which they are useful.
  18. Surely they could be a way to append onto the system to ignore browser or computer switches from the same ip address? As that would still cover the main security issue, but at least ease the interruption to user experience for people using more than 1 system within their own home.
  19. But that's the thing: Both computers are in the same house so have the same external ip; so for all intents and purpose are the same location.
  20. Need to prayer is subjective to stats when questing and there's infinite possibilities of need to prayer in future quests. And as for beating bob full of ppots thats easy, same way a unicorn can beat food. It only uses part of the special bar to cast the scroll and a small amount of summon pot to restore the special bar (assuming if doesn't restore of its own accord in the time lapse) So with fewer pots you get more restoration; heck with my camping suggestion unless the monster really pounds on you ALOT you can probably 75% rely on natural restoration of the special bar which would even further make it more restoring for less pots
  21. Up until a couple of days ago my log-in persisted on both my desktop and laptop with no issue; but now all of a sudden logging in on one logs the other out which is proving very irritating. Has something changed in the forum setup? and is there a way to put it back?
  22. Same here, I think I'll just wait until if someone finds a good use for ghasts, and/or an easy way to train those hard followbies. We were actually chatting a bit about this in my clan last night we came up with a few likely good uses: 1) If you aren't not a major efficiency buff you could swap out the usual combat familar on a task to gain prayer xp (kinda depends what the xp is like thou) Then these 2 kinda need soulsplit to be ideal 2) Questing - couple of invent spots for like infinite prayer and healing (with ss) 3) Camping - There must be some monsters that could be good to camp for xp with no worthwhile drops other than charms and alchables with all summon pots and a pile of scrolls you'd have loooooaaaaaaaaddddds of prayer restore and thus loads of soulsplit to stay alive.
  23. Whenever you get the bridge event, there will be a 50/50 chance that Lumberjack Zombies will spawn. If they do spawn, only 3 spawn now, and their drop rate is fairly high. It shouldn't take you long at all to get your top. Mod Chris made sure that it won't give you duplicates until you have the whole set. I'd debate how rare the drops are; I had two lumberjack items banked for years I now have three (note ITEMS not SETS); I have got Pazuzu, Dean, Jayene to 99, Zachory to 81 and Rmiddi to 25ish.
  24. Guide is right. Bandos gives: 380 Agility 125 Ranged 125 Strength So yes 1 lap = 630 xp But it is only 380 agility xp.
  25. You totally overlooked the applications of the unlimited druid pouch, the two new shortcuts and burgh de rott teleport. Plus the valuable rewards at the end of each trek eg hard tokens given torstols a fair bit. And its just downright boring so see yet more it's not game-breaking awesomely epic stuff that is the best ever therefore its useless drivel. We get it already you people aren't happy to just enjoy FUN stuff and have to nitpick holes in everything as they don't make giant bounds forward in the metagaming world of efficiency; we don;t need to spread you're apathy on to every single update thread. The game is fun, the rewards are useful.
