Photo Log - 15th Oct new stuff
Photologness... Feedback welcomed etc. [hide=Cat] [/hide] [hide=Orchids] [/hide] [hide=15th August batch] [hide=Flowers] [/hide] [hide=Cat] [/hide] [/hide] [hide=16th August night shot] [/hide] [hide=18th August Rusty Frog] [/hide] [hide=21st August Cat is back] [/hide] [hide=24th August Sunset] Quite pleased with these, though 3 does have obvious focus/motion blur issue but for some reason I still like it. 2 is personal fav as it has the most movement and depth to it. [/hide] [hide=27th August Stars] I do believe I have just about cracked this night time exposure milarky; plus my first panoramic shot. Link to panorama as it doesn't work nicely with forum [/hide] [hide=26th Sept Sunset Grab] Not editted yet (need to get my proper pc hooked up in new uni digs) and two shots as the lighter one shows the distant foreground I wanna bring out a little better (the light spots etc) and darker shows the sky colouring. Not sure if it's gonna work out but it looked nice and I had the cam to hand. [/hide] [hide=15th Oct Brick Work] Not editted yet, want to crank it to bring out the hidden colours and crop it a bit; but found the constructuion and shapes with the slight reflective quality intriguing [/hide] Most in higher res on my deviant art

So I did my first LONG exposure photo last night...
Did you edit them? The originals of these photos look like absolute [cabbage]. Only after exposure decreases, contrast increase, shadow manipulated, gradient exposure & contrast, white balance and some other changes was I able to get the photos looking like they do now. Before editing, they look plain gray. I fiddled with some, but I haven't got the detail needed to make it look good. Eg I end up with a grainy foreground that looks washed out and a bluey grey sky with nothing in it other than a blown out moon or I end up a pure black image with no details other than a moon that's heavily detailed but so small it looks bad.

So I did my first LONG exposure photo last night...
Love it, wish I could get night sky shots to work. Tried on like 8 occasions and I just can't for the life of me get night sky exposures to come out right.

museum kudos
Kudos: Upstairs talking to the historian and bringing him certain items from quests to update/fill the timeline earns kudos. Ground Floor cleaning items to fill the cases AND learning about digsite pendant earns kudos Basement answering the quizzzes earns kudos. Additionally completing the Shatter Heart Statue for the first time gives 10 kudos This explains it all: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=varrock_museum.htm

Few POH questions
Dining room is the one will bell pull to call butler not kitchen. It's a bit wasteful anyway because its easy enough to get the butler to follow you, just send him to un-note planks with a full inventory then he'll follow you until you take the planks. Plus iirc you can literally just talk to the butler now and he'll start following you

Changing clan ownership?
Is that a definite fact or a guess? Cause combat level sounds like quite an arbitrary and random thing to go off in terms of clans. Plus its kind of a short-sighted solution; what when 2 or more deputy owners have exact same stats and thus exact same combat level? What if its a skiller clan and the lvl 3 is far more adept to lead it than the lvl 50 etc.

Pharoh's Sceptre will tele you there; camulet tele is also nearby (in the granite quarry) Failing that it's a case of magic carpets to bebadin(sp?) camp or the monkey colony and running.

Future Update Discussions
I thought they were called VampYre Juvinates Nah it seems to be an overlooked loophole. They were all vampires such as count draynor and the guy from dt. But then they seemed to decide to change them to vampyres. (thou count draynor, the dt guy and lord drakan are still refered to as vampire; as well as they random vampires that can lea at u in haunted wood) Vampire Juveniles got changed to Vampyre to match vyrewatch and the new vampyres that spawn when guthix balance goes wrong. But the vampire juvinates still seem to retain their old names. \i'm fairly sure i've remmebered this correctly, but it has been a few years! Only way it could be part of some kind of lore move is if vampires and vampyres turn out to be slightly different; eg perhaps vampires are born as a species that reproduces and vampyres are people who have been turned.

Yeah was gonna say didn't they always do that unless you used the rod/flail's special to cpature them then use guthix balance(?) to either restore them to human, kill them or make them turn into an angry vamp thing u can kill

Few POH questions
After a A Love Story you can chip teltabs to go to any house portal so its kinda a personal taste issue. My personal taste is house in yanille (easiest run to bank); then portals for lumby, varrock, fally, ardy, cammy and canafis. Then jsut chip tabs as and when needed to go to taverly, rimmington, pollnivneach, rellekka etc. As for training generally oak larders til you can do oak doors; though some like mahogany tables for higher xp rate at greater cost.

Because its not being "assisted"? Afterall you the player moves about, The level up message just infers (to me anyway) they thank you as it your helping them through the swamp that allowed them to safely gain xp to level up. Kinda like when clan mates or friends take lower levelled friends to a boss ro dg or w/e and help them level up by being there.

Black Mystic Robe Tops

Perhaps you didn't notice that the Edgeville updates were not mentioned anywhere near the start of the BTS. That rule does not always apply. But yes, in this specific case, it does say finally. Hence why I added the additional sentence where it said 'Finally' which you conveniently left out of the quote taking it out of context. @Urza, please learn the definition of troll, my post wasn't flame baiting intentionally or otherwise. Also, it doesn't take a rabid fanboy to remember the order of a small article like the BTS. If you can't remember that then god only knows how forgetful you must be. Intentionally or not... people need to watch how they respond to others. And your still doing it. I don't appreciate people degrading me. I think you need to take you're own advice. Calling troll at the slightest thing isn't exactly friendly and respectful. Also it is a phrase which many people view as degrading/insulting towards them when used as you did; as they are not trolling and making a genuine point.

Contradictory? Ghouls are not in mort myre. Mort Myre is the swamp area only. I guess you meant Morytania

England Riots
I hate going into larger towns because I dislike the fact that any given moment there's several security cameras with me in their view like I'm some [bleep]ing criminal who is guilty until proven innocent. I feel deeply sorry for you with that mentality. Unless you are doing something wrong, a CCTV operator won't take a second look at you. The fact is that CCTV makes areas much safer and personally, I and much in favour of putting CCTV in as many public places as humanly possible. They make me feel much safer when walking anywhere, are a great deterrent to most crimes and if a crime is committed, they can aid greatly in finding the culprit. They are one of the greatest assets to policing in this country. I get constantly amazed at the paranoia of average internet users. The police, government and any other authorities do not care whatsoever about you, deal with it. You are nothing but tiny fish in the ocean. They don't care about your everyday actions, they aren't watching you, reading your emails and plotting to make a dictatorship at ever turn. The police and governments in the UK are humans, everyday people. We even have a police officer on Tip.it staff. He certainly isn't spending every day monitoring the forums just to catch you doing something wrong to have more power over you and throw you in jail. This is so true. I mean all cctv means is say ur in a shopping mall instead of being watched by a security guard when you happen to be in same are as them while some other poor sap gets mugged at the other end. 1 or 2 guards in the cctv office can monitor the whole complex and direct security staff to anywhere an issue arises result in more efficient deterrent and protection. Heck outside privately own cctv systems the public ones aren't even monitor THAT intently; its barely like you are being watched they have thousands of people on cam at any given time. Unless you are looking suspicious or clearly committing a crime they won't pay you any attention, exactly the same as a police officer on the street wouldn't. I get the whole big brother is watching thing, but that's a fictional story run by an interfering and dictatorial ruler; we don't have that and even if we DID have that the sheer man power needed to actually intensely watch and monitor every person in the way the fiction does is just ludicrous; it can't be done unless 50% of the entire population is working to monitor the cctv feeds each watching 1 specific person. Heck drop even to 30 - 40% region of population and you already got a heap of stuff going unwatched and its still a ludicrously impossible task to monitor it all; its why we put criminals in prison or mental patients in locked psychiatric facilities/wards or even the infirm in care homes they need to be in a confined controlled environment to realistically monitor them 24/7. Abuse of personal data stored by the police etc I can see concern over, but cctv i just paranoia to be so worried about. I mean when you consider a show like Big Brother requires hundreds of staff members a large portion of which are camera operators or monitor watchers (for the in house remote cams) and that's just for a house of like 12 people who can't go anyway it puts the idea of us being under such scrutiny in perspective.

so temple trekking update and updated ghasts to match by the looks of things., as well as looking like the swap area in general been upgraded graphically. Wouldnt be surprised if this (if not jsut all the mini-game stuff) will be paired with shades update and myreque quest Side note: based on the graphics I wonder if jamflex are gonna slip in graphical update to morytannina, or atleast mort myre, burgh de rott, morton and mierdytch

Buyers and Cellars
It is mentioned in the guild guide: And one could argue that as it is post-quest it is a feature of the guild and not of the quest and as such does not need mentioning in the quest guide.

Changing clan ownership?
Yeah as Serpent said unless something has changed as long as a Deputy Owner exists the owner can leave the clan and the deputy will be promoted.

The Marketplace forums
I think marketplace does get some vague foot traffic but it is defunct in purpose. Bulk of trading goes through the GE and the few direct trades tend go through in-game and/or rsof as they need to be that "central" as it were to get the attention due to the relatively low volume of trading done that way. The threads I see posted there are just like why? Type of threads like buying vials or w/e at standard pricing, theres no point to it. Just throw up ge offer and job done.

England Riots
The police might be a separate "entity" but you're kidding yourself if you don't think they "play for the same team" so to speak. I'm just saying that, as he said it, it would be a severe invasion of privacy that I would find unacceptable. He never said they don't play for the same team ;) But yeah in all reality compare the initiating statement/proposal put to the house to the final outcome of any law and you'll see it gets tweaked and limited and pruned by various bodies to extreme levels and never makes it through in that raw form. Between committees, related bodies, effected bodies, the major 3 parties and the house of lords a lot gets altered to make the proposal acceptable.

England Riots
But employers are allowed to stop you saying anything bad about them on social networks and ban topics of conversation in the workplace and check social network profiles before hiring you. The first two of which most definitely infringe upon free speech, which is actually the freedom to say as you wish without being punished/criminalised for it by any superior body be it government or just your boss at work. Checking social network profiles before hiring you is just a future we'll have to deal with in the era of technological advancement. If they see pictures of you online binge drinking, it's not something they want associated with their company. It's not criminalizing what you're saying. You'll just be fired (or not hired). There's a huge difference. Freedom of speech has consequences, but one of those consequences does not include being tried before a court over what you said. Danqazmlp, as I said, I know this isn't America...I'm just saying, I would not want a law like that in my country. I like how I listed 3 points and said the first 2 infringe free speech so your come back commented only on the third...
