They're both essentially the same thing, political parties trying to hold position in office via elections Republicans stand for more state's rights values, religous values and fundamental values really. Conservative and right-wing is what goes with them Democrats are a less big business and more federal orriented group who are pro-environment and liberal and left wing.

As most of u americans know, it's mid-term election day here. Hopefully all you eligible voted, and if you didn't...shame! :shame: A few of the results have come back in, and i'm pleased with a lot of them, but disapointed in some races like my state rep...who's a jerk and is ahead by 20%. Well, i just wanted an official thread for this. Some of the close tight races are gonna be good to watch. Here's a map as of 9:00 CST of how these three races hold. UPDATE: DEMS have control over house. Governors: Senate Races: (None have been called, go to the site to see percents) House Races: (None have been called, go to the site to see percents) here's a tally however. After voting in this weeks poll, i checked the results and was startled to see the most popular forum, help and advice and guides. I would expect the general forums to be the favorites and most popular since they always have the most users on it, while h&a can have a max of about 7 people usually. So what do you make of this?
