  1. He's not doing ivy. He's primarily been doing arctic pines.
  2. Also I predict Suomi gets 200m rc on May 27th. Everyone owes me money if I'm right. -.-
  3. Lol Suomi. Would actually be interested in seeing you do an update, just to see what you write about other top players ;p
  4. Well they got rid of the vast majority of bots, which has improved the general economy no end, as well as making the game far more fun. RS is in no way "dying a slow death", but f2p have received a large than normal volume of kicks in the teeth recently, as Jagex have heavily stepped up their money making schemes, primarily though trying to keep people as members for longer(Members loyalty programme, displaying subscription length on forum posts), trying to get member to purchase membership multiple times(in game cosmetic items which are available only if you buy a membership card in a shop, and only from certain retailers at that; the ability to refer yourself five times a year to gain a 1.1xp modifier by purchasing membership multiple times) and messing with f2p to make them get membership (displaying members items in the f2p game, removing important game content such as hiscores from f2p). But if you don't mind paying the £3.50 or w/e a month, then now is a pretty good time to be playing RS. Many skills are now decently profitable due to the removal of bots (rcing bloods gets around 900k/hr), there's been some highly rated quests released (ritual of the maharrajat, one piercing note, branches of darkmeyer) and I'm not really sure what people were talking about lag. About a week or two ago Jagex released an update which removed much of the lag that has been present in RS for 5 years or more, as well as fixing some of it which was due to the update that prevents botting. This is on a 2.0GHz dual core laptop with 4GB Ram and 512Mb dedicated GRAM so its miles away from being a top spec machine, yet I experience lag soley in the ge now. LRC 84 at peak times is completely lag free.
  5. I like to set myself a goal, and just work towards that goal when I feel like it. For example, I set myself the goal of finishing recipe for disaster, then getting 70+ in all skills, and am currently working on 80+ in all skills. Once I've achieved this, I'm going to get all the quest req's for Temple at Senntisten and buy turmoil. Then I want to do all the hard tasks. Having lots of little goals like this helps keep me motivated, as you get that sense of achievement more often, instead of just saying, right I'm going for a max cape now, and feeling like you never get anywhere.

Hedgehog's assumption that there are no ticks lost between rocks is why concentrated gold is so high in his calculations I think. I'd say that alone, comibined with waiting for rocks to spawn after you've mined the three viable ones, would drop the xp rate below granite. I guess you could hop, but either way you're looking at some major delays.
  7. With your farming and hunter levels, farming torstols is probably good cash with juju farming potions. I have no idea exactly how much it is anymore. 85 dungeoneering isn't too far off for you, I don't know whether or not you have a rapier yet or not, if not I'd recommend dg'ing until you can get one. At which point killing frosts would probably become your best source of steady income, supplemented by torstol runs. I have similar combat stats to you, and make around 1.5m/hr, although I waste a bit of time talking, so you might be able to get a bit more. Without extremes, I'd say you're looking at around 1m/hr profit (after subtracting cost of cannonballs) at least.

Most people do concentrated gold, but for pure mining granite is faster than concentrated gold. But concentrated gold is so much easier than granite that the small xp drop is worth it to most people. Although if you're superheating at LRC, thats obviously the superior method if you value smithing/magic xp. To answer the OP's original question, granite is by far the fastest xp at your level. You can switch over to concentrated coal rocks at 77 for an easier time, but I'd recommend sticking it out at granite till 80 then going and doing concentrated gold.
  9. "You might as well use a bronze scimitar if you're gonna use a whip". Is this the most idiotic statement of the year? I think it might be. A whip is a decent weapon for slayer, and people slayed just fine without chaotics. Yes, a rapier is a significant power boost, but whips aren't in the same league as a dragon scimitar, never mind bronze. (And no, I'm not just saying that because I don't have a rapier, as I do have one.)
  10. Anyone else think Suomi is doing it wrong?
  11. They look pretty damn cool, will be saving my points up for the demon wings probably, they'll go better with my fire cape.
  12. The question asked at the beginning of the thread has effectively been answered, and its now only a matter of time before Dragonseance becomes no1. to 200m all. There was more to talk about when things were still comparatively up in the air and it was anyone's game, back before Aasiwat and Zarfot quit, and before the introduction of free trade. But I do agree that the thread hasn't been as interesting lately, a lot of people seem to be treating the thread like the friends chat, which makes it seem kind of bloated, if you get what I mean. Also, can we stop talking about Gemeos? It was funny for a while, but now its really boring. Even he wants us to stop, and discussions about him seem to cause half the off topic posts now. It was OK with Dragonseance as people would just tag a line onto their posts about him, but people make Gemeos the sole focus of theirs' P.S. If you couldn't tell, replace Dragonseance with S U O M I
  13. Air battlestaffs are only like 5-6gp/xp, assuming you only want to go to 99 only they're not too shabby.
  14. No idea to be perfectly honest, I assume 200m. I know he doesn't want to rc yet and that he doesn't really have the cash for buyables.
  15. So I assume he does cut one split one.
  16. Jake splits arctic pines @ Neitiznot. Not sure if he does cut one split one drop one or cut inv split inv dump inv. Also want Roger Al to win. Mainly because of the "Ima kill him" comment ;p
  17. Using an adze with arctic pines is still more woodcutting xp/hr than teaks. Even just filling your inventory, splitting all then dumping on the pile is more wc xp/hr, and if doing it by the cut one split one drop one method the difference becomes even more pronounced. Also the adze helps reduce clicking intensity quite a bit, makes it sustainable anyway.
  18. Yeah but if Jagex ever caused that to happen, that would just wipe thousands of hours of merching away from some people.
  19. Your kidding yourself if you don't think a fair few people have 200b already. Not everyone is silly enough to make bank videos saying "look at me I have £100k waiting for you to steal".
  20. You should, I didn't know it existed till you did and am interested in following your progress. Edit: Update pl0x.
  21. I'm pretty sure arctic pines are faster than teaks for woodcutting.
  22. Actually I think jagex made one input-multi output mouse keys legal a little while ago, I'll find linky for you. Edit: Sorry, they confirmed you're allowed to use the + key to generate two clicks from one key press, because that's a default feature, but you're not allowed to use custom set ups for more than one input two output like the one you said Thai.
  23. I personally believe that zezima let n0valyfe pass him as a courtesy. At that point, n0va had announced that he was going to quit soon (after his next 200m I believe) and said that getting rank 1 would be nice. Zezima slowed down a lot for a couple weeks until n0va just barely passed him for a day. Right after that, zezima started powering through skills again. This is correct. I think Zezima let him take it for about a day, it certainly wasn't very long. And yes, Zezima is effectively the face of Runescape. He was even in the guiness book of records at some point.
  24. If Elias and Telmo had kept playing like they were, basically driving one another to get higher and higher xp gains, I think they'd be in the top three, with probably Aasiwat first in my opinion. He had a very balanced skill set before he left, with lots of xp in slower skills like Slayer too. I reckon Suomi would be fourth, even though he would probably still have the least time left to 200m all. And Zarfot probably fifth. But if we're going to play this game, why not go back to Zezima? If he had any interest in getting 200m all and hadn't had that big break, he would clearly still be first and would be very close to 200m all.
  25. planning to watch jagex kill it mile by mile inch by inch gradual self destruction and laugh the whole time in real time as it happens. I will be surprised if Jagex endorsed rwt isn't fully fledged in 5 years. Also, I think that the when Jagex introduces these updates they said they were planning to combat, that will be the major turning point.
