In theory you would be correct but in practice most PKers just roam around looking for a suitable target to attack. It's not like everyone is constantly fighting; most people are either just standing around waiting for someone near their level to come around or looking for someone near their level to fight.

The point is that pures are intended to abuse the combat formula -- it's foolish to expect updates to revolve around your attempts to do so. Jagex's policy, which is and always has been quite a sensible one, has been to ignore pures. If your build is now locking you out of useful PKing content, then it's no longer the optimal one and you need to adapt accordingly. It's not abusing the combat formula at all. If they really wanted to they could make your attack/strength/defence have to be within 5 levels of each other. But they didn't, because they want to see different builds. What's the fun in playing the game the same way as everyone else? We need some more 40 defence gear; tanks got their pernix/virtus [cabbage] and mains can access everything.

Why on earth would you get 70 or 55 defence? :lol: Both of them blow. Get 40 - 45 defence with 80 attack.
