  1. Surely people don't really buy this? Interesting.
  2. Surely you're trolling right there.
  3. IMO: Win. I don't like the wilderness, because the only people in there a lot are penguin hunters, and people killing them. Fewer people who can attack me is nice. Tbh I totally agree, I would not give a shite if the wilderness went away again. As much as people whined and wanted it back even with it back it's utter tripe. Long gone are the days of honour where pkers would (in general) defend or ignore people obviously doing clues or agility or w/e and would aim for decent battles from which they would not flee. Now we have a bunch of kids 'owning' unarmed skillers and peng hunters by piling them 50:1 and that's about it. Don't judge the wilderness when you don't use it for its main function. You have no idea what you're on about. Just because it's main function is for pking doesn't make it any less stupid and douche-like to active hunt people doing clues or agility or abyss rcing or lurk in pengs chats to slay peng hunters or to go out with like your entire clan so you can lure and 'own' unarmed people on their own but immediately run away if they have any strength. Yes there has always been these douche-issues but back in the good old days, in my experience, the majority were more interested in fair-ish equal fights and many even ignored or protected people in the wilderness un-armed for non-pking purposes. Where as now the majority appear interested in the "glory" of "owning" people who having nothing worthwhile to drop and have no chance at all of surviving. You seem to be under the impression Jagex accidentally put clues/agility/the abyss etc in the wilderness. Let me correct you, they did not. Those activities were put there with the intention of PKers making it difficult for you. Since you're no longer labouring under that delusion I presume you now agree with me; you don't know know what you're talking about.

  5. It's sad to see Jagex reduced to this.
  6. Next month : Hay guize you can now pay for a higher chance of getting XP lamps in the SOF
  7. I thought that was the partyhat dupe in RSC. Yes it happened then too, I was referring to a fairly recent hushed up gold dupe.
  8. Wouldn't surprise me if (members of) Jagex were in league with these RWT'ers tbh. And decided to betray them due to the gold dupe crashing the price of GP. Reminds me of the last gold dupe when they promised that dude membership for life if he told them how they were duping gold and then banned him after.
  9. Do they offer any proof that they didn't just make those names/totals/days played up? Really wouldn't put it past Jagex anymore. They have a system to pinpoint every abuser but no system to detect massive transfers of gold? Yeah...
  10. If my calculations are right, this guy made like $200,000. Holy shit. A legend was born. A legend?... not quite. I doubt he paid any tax on that money. Not only do we as players suffer from this illegally aquired money but so does the country he lives in. I hope someone dobs him in to the authorities. Tbh you're just being salty, that guy is the epitome of winning. Although if he's not already filthy rich, that amount of money being deposited in his bank will set off 1001 red flags to the bank for potential money laundering or fraud. So, yeah. I think it's fair to say at this point the whole free trade/wildy back thing was a PR stunt to make more money, nothing to do with some new fantastic technology that catches bots.
  11. Haha good for them, at least some people got something out of this game before Jagex kills it.
  12. The advertisements aren't that annoying yet, but they will be. I just can't be bothered with what Jagex are turning Runescape into. I'll keep playing until the update as this will be the last time to play the official RS2, but when the update comes out, I'm finished.
  13. Can I just make a distinction here between advertising some outside product and advertising a promotion for your own game? Because if you've spent any meaningful time in F2P you'll know that they've been doing the latter for years now. i specifically mentioned members. And harrassing adverts are harrassing adverts regardless of what they're advertising. I don't pay membership to be bombarded by Jagex advertising (not quite at the bombarded stage yet but it's only a matter of time).
  14. Wanna bet? Seriously though, do you honestly believe that the game will be closed by 2014? From, let's say 500k members to closed in two years? Maybe not closed, but irrelevant to the gaming world. Once they really become a poor mans WOW with compulsory adverts (like we now already have) constantly harrassing members, people will just move on to WOW.
  15. I would honestly be pretty surprised if Runescape was still around by 2014.
  16. Hi, give me your toothpaste and shoelaces and promise me your dessert cookie every day and I'll protect you around here.
  17. I think of it like a dude creating a pretty successful company and then selling his share for a decent amount of money.
  18. no longer used as much =/= end of its life
  19. Thanks for letting us know.
  20. Can anyone who's tried tell me if it's easier or harder to get tokhaar kal in this update?
  21. Zerker_Jane replied to swagcake's topic in Rants
How dare you say that sarcastically, runescape classic rocked.
  22. True, but both are a sign of what's to come.
