  1. I was 16, and it was with a girl I had been dating for nine months. But if you're talking about with tongues and all that, I'm still waiting.

Haha, I love this show! I own four seasons on DVD, and will be asking for seasons 4 and 5 this fall for my birthday. :P No soup for you!
  3. I went to the lake today and ended up with a very awkward tan line. Somehow I ended up putting sunscreen on the front of my arms, but not the back. I now have a tan on half my arm, and a red burn on the other half, with a perfect line down the middle. I tried to get a picture for y'all, but it wouldn't turn out right.
  4. Well, it's not because something doesn't consist of atoms and molecules, that we can't say it exists, can we? We also have numerous names for the space, which is basically nothing as well. If you want to know what I mean by 'nothing is something', check the upper post I made. Ok, I think I get what you're saying. It doesn't quite make sense in my mind, but I can see how one could say that a lack of something is, in itself, something. Heh, I knew you were gonna say something like that. But anyway, isn't every divinity part of the universe as much as we're part of it? Well, you probably think God isn't, but I do :) Heh, of course! How could I resist? :P But to me, God is something totally seperate from the universe, which is part of what makes him God.
  5. im assuming you posted this again because you didnt think it was answered? i explained how infinty works in the other post, there is no reason why an infinite amount of time couldnt have already passed. you can still add to infinity. I believe that Katsuro is trying to make a Kalam-type argument. Basically, (1) in order to reach the present moment, every moment before this one must have been completed. (2) An infinite task cannot be completed. Therefore, an infinite number of moments cannot have occured before now, because an infinite number of moments would have to have been completed. I'm not saying I agree with the argument, just trying to clarify what Katsuro is saying. That's silly. If there was nothing before a certain point had been reached, you can also consider that nothingness to be something. Check my post above, if you want my point view on the matter. So I'm with indy here; there has infinitively been going on something, even if it's nothing. btw, hi Astra! *waves* Hey, Oy! *waves back* I really ought to drop into the AS forum some time to see everyone. Then again, I really ought to log into my AS character sometime too. :P And I don't quite get what you mean about considering that nothing to be something? Those are rather contradictory terms - how do you reconcile that? As for something being infinite, I agree that something must be exist for infinity, but to me it makes more sense that a divinity is infinite, not this universe. But anyway, this topic isn't about that, is it? :P Anyways, quantum physics and all that is way beyond what I've learned so far - I won't even take a physics course until my senior year of high school, so much of this is beyond me.

Fried chicken. In fact, chicken in general is really darn good.
  8. I was just driving through that region a couple weeks ago on my way to and from St. Louis. I'm a Memphian, myself. :P
  9. Mad, I'm going to suggest that idea for the Mu Alpha Theta t-shirt this year. :P

Completely. >.< :P This topic is an oldie but goodie, in my eyes. It entertains me no matter how many times I see it. :D
  11. 1. The fact that I almost made this exact same topic earlier today. 2. The way God works in people. 3. Family 4. Friends 5. Best Friends 6. Food 7. Books 8. Photography 9. Dogs 10. Cats 11. Kids 12. Dreams 13. Seinfeld 14. Sleep 15. I would love to finish my list tomorrow, since I'm about to go enjoy #14.
  12. No one said that the only way to tell them to abstain was to say stupid things. How about talking about committment, what represents to you as a couple - maybe talk about the mental and emotional aspects to as well - talk about what the female views as, what the male views as, instead of slipping a in their pocket with a wink :? Exactly, or instead of telling them how bad sex is, make sure they know how good it is. I'm waiting until marriage not because I think sex is dirty, but because I believe it to be something special, something almost sacred, and that to take sex out of its proper context (marriage) is to deprive yourself of fully seeing how wonderful it is. I wouldn't commit an act that intimate unless it's with the woman I'm going to spend the rest of my life with.
  13. I love baseball! I've played recreational t-ball/baseball/softball at my church since I was a little kid. I was never very athletic as a kid, hence not very good at baseball, but I always loved the sport. However, the last two or three years, I've gotten strong and fast enough to play well and enjoy it. Unfortunately, for high schoolers, my church only offers softball, not baseball, but it's a softball league, which totally makes up for the fact that it's softball. Besides, it's a very fun, relaxed atmostphere, and even though we play our best, we really don't care a bit whether we win or lose. :P Speaking of baseball, anyone been keeping up with the Braves lately? What is it now, five games in a row with double digit scores? I don't know if they're playing amazingly, or if everyone else just sucks lately, lol.
  14. Actually, it happens a lot. I waited untill I was 18, and in about 2 months, I'm giving her the ring. I can also name about 10 guys off the top of my head that have saved themself as well. It's not as common as a doing it because guys are raised in a way that is a trophy, and very little more than that. I can also name quite a few guys, including myself, who are saving themselves for marriage. I had a serious relationship that lasted for 15 months, and we never went beyond a short kiss on the lips. So yes, it is possible to have a loving, serious relationship without sex. :)

You Brits think you've got it bad? I have to mow lawns in humid, 100̢̮â¬Å¡ÃâðF Memphis, TN, weather. Sure, there's plenty of people who have it worse than I do, but doing manual labor in the sun when it's this hot is no picnic. (It is great money, though, so who I am to complain? On top of that, I'm always good and hungry to enjoy a big dinner. :P) I'm sure Al Gore is basking in the joy of everyone saying, "Oh noes! It's teh global warming!!!!1one." :P
  18. LoL. So did I. :| Maybe put some dudes in your sig instead of s? There is one guy one in my sig.... Plus i have a guy in my avy now... And so what if i put s in my sig, isnt that more manly then putting guys? I don't think it's your lack of guys in your graphics, I think it's more your demeanor and opinions that are traditionally more associated with feminine thinking. I can't be bothered to think of an example, but there was a time where I thought you were a as well until I read something about you having a friend a few months ago. Maybe Lionheart ought to trade accounts with Rihla. :P Anyway, for me, it's a total package deal. I won't date a if I don't find her attractive, even if she has a great personality. Conversly, I won't date a who is drop-dead gorgeous if I don't like her personality. Don't get me wrong though - I don't value her looks anywhere near so much as I value who she is. However, no matter how much I like a 's personality, our relationship will never go beyond a friendship if there isn't a romantic and physical attraction on my part.
  19. Economic Left/Right: -3.25 Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 1.23 I'm closer to Pope John Paul II than anyone else. Interesting. There were several questions I had no stance on though, so who knows.
  20. Still one of the funniest moments i've had in my TIF life here =P. Back on scape azvy had a fairly y sig (well it did have a flower in it) so everyone (including me) thought he was a she. . I think it ended up with like 10 people thinking azvy was a . And me running from azvy. For a long, long time. Location: Still running from Azvareth. :P That whole event was hilarious. \
  21. It sounds to me like you threw Star Wars technology and a conspiracy theory into a blender, and this came out. :P Link, please? :P
  22. EWW. Maynaise is only good with sandwiches. Mayo's good with a lot of things! Chips/fries, chicken burgers, fillets, beef, and yes sandwhiches as well :P There's places that people like y'all can get help, you know. :P I can't stand mayonaisse. Barbeque is by far my favorite sauce. It goes so well with so many things.
  23. Incredible book, but I think I might choose When Heaven Weeps over it. :P The Circle Trilogy is also awesome, what with the tons of symbolism and all. I love Ballad of the White Horse by G.K. Chesterton and Divine Comedy by Dante. There's also several Star Wars novels that I love. I don't know that I really have one favorite book - there's so many that I could read over and over.
  24. I wish I knew a good book for you, but I don't. I'll ask my youth pastor tonight and get back to you. He currently doing a message series on prayer, so I'm sure he's got some good books. As to why Christians only pray for 'safe' things, I would say it is because hardly any of them have true faith. They're afraid to ask for the big things because they don't believe God can do them, or because they are afraid their faith will be proven wrong. Christians today don't believe all of what the Bible says of God; rather they view God as small and safe.
