  1. There's also three books of them. I own the first two volumes. :P
  2. Dear Aunty Phaper, Recently, my yellow lab has been acting odd. She's not finishing her dinners, spends way too much time in the back yard, and is playing with toys that I didn't give her. Do you think she may be seeing another master without me knowing? How do I deal with that? Do I confront her and say, "Bad dog!" or should I just buy her tennis balls and rawhide to win her heart back? Sincerely, A Concerned Dog Owner
  3. There's a very simple solution to getting rid of these kind of problems in schools - uniforms. At my school, there's three polo shirts we may wear (guys and girls, and the shirts must be from a certain company), then guys have to wear khaki slacks and girls have their choice between two skirts (both from the aforementioned company). We all have the same clothes, so there's no pressure at school to be fashionable. Complain all you want about it smothering individual expression; that's what we did when the school switched to uniforms. However, after two years of them, I wouldn't trade the uniforms for freedom to wear what I want. Rather than be divided by style as so many schools are, we both look and feel unified. Granted, we're also a fairly small Christian school, so both of those elements create unity already, but the uniforms add even more to that unity. Outside of school, I wear what I think looks nice. Some of my clothes are trendy, but I like them, so it doesn't matter to me. I don't mind walking around in my work jeans and a white t-shirt, and I don't have any problem wearing nice slacks and a nice shirt.
  4. I live in the birthplace of rock and roll, in the great state of Tennessee, in the good ole US of A. I say y'all, eat fried chicken, and listen to country music, and I'm proud of it. :P
  5. To read through the entire Bible. To exercise more. (Yes, dusqi, I know it's vague. :P) To write and complete at least one short story. To finish the unread books sitting on my bookshelf right now (about 8 of them).
  6. Welcome to the club! :P Just kidding, apinagez. You know we love you. As for the villian name, how about this.
  7. Militaris hit the nail on the head, pretty much. I'm a Nikon man myself, and my D50 has a special mode for taking night-time pictures. I don't use it myself - I prefer manual mode - but if you have trouble getting it right in manual, try shooting in night mode if you have it.
  8. If your wish comes true, then you'll live forever. After all, they're never going to tell us what's really going on on that island.
  9. I'd just like to point out that the orignal quote is not from Timo Cruz, but from "A Return to Love" by Marianne Williamson.
  10. to me, something that is biologically natural cant really be wrong. I welcome someone to change my mind but... If someone is genetically predisposed to be violent, is it okay for him to hit people who frustrate him? If someone is genetically predisposed to love food, is it okay for him to over eat to the point of obesity? If someone is genetically predisposed to have a strong sex drive, is it okay for him to rape a woman? If someone is genetically predisposed to want material things, is it okay for him to steal? If someone is genetically predisposed to be arrogant, is it okay for him to treat others with contempt? Here's another way to put it: It's natural for reptiles to abandon their children. Is this morally right for a human to do? It's natural for female spiders to eat their mates. Is this morally right for a human to do? It's natural for a cat to torture a mouse before he eats it. Is this morally right for a human to do? It's natural for viruses to kill their hosts . Is this morally right for a human to do?

Sorry, but that's ridiculous. Show me 1 evidence for this? Suicidal people usually don't want to first kill their loved ones. I would like to see a reply. I couldn't offer you any proof of the suicidal person's thought processes, but if I weren't to lazy to do so I could find several instances of murder/suicide in which a man killed his family before killing himself. Granted, I'd hardly say that's common, but it does happen.

It's interesting that this topic came up, because I just read a very interesting passage about suicide a few minutes ago.
  13. Famous last words of a redneck: "Hey y'all! Watch this!" :P Hobgoblin, you really make me want a Tesla Coil.
  14. Fix'd. :P Nope, I meant the whole world. I'm starting to open up to more than Europe. Especially the Middle East and Southest Asia. I want to visit Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei and Beriut/Damascus Syria really badly. I'm impressed. While you're at it, you ought to visit all of the ancient ruins of South America, such as Teotihuacan, Tiahuanaco, and Machu Pichu. Come to think of it, I'm adding that to my list. :P
  15. Fix'd. :P I'd like to marry a woman I love, have children, write a book, master at least 3 languages, study higher mathematics, teach at a high school level for a few years, become editor of a newspaper, never stop learning, spend some time doing manual labor, live in the Appalachians for a while, buy a large amount of land that my family can enjoy for years, grow closer to God, tell others about God, perhaps run for local political office, and many others things of which I can barely even begin to think.
  16. Silly, they're on my iPod! <3
  17. I think this post is proof that situation will never occur. I've been at this forum five and a half years. The small fish never run out. They spawn at a far faster rate than the large fish ever will. :anxious:
  18. Season's beatings?
  19. You're just too darn happy, Mad. :D I more than recognize you; I remember debating with you. It's been good to see you around here again. :)
  20. I almost always agree with Insane (with the exception of how steak should be cooked) and GhostRanger (even though he falsely believes pirates are better than ninjas). I usually agree with MPC too, since he says all of the mean things I'm too nice to actually type up. :P That said, I've agreed on different topics with most people here, including BlueLancer, Rick, Mad, Anesthesia and several others, whose opinions and intelligence I respect even when I don't agree with them.
  21. I mow lawns during the summer, but I have no work besides being a student the rest of the year. :P

I'd have to agree to a degree. I believe that humans do have intrinsic moral values, which can be ignored or twisted. However, I do not believe it can ever be entirely ignored. C.S. Lewis once pointed out that the moral law manifests itselfs most clearly not through people's actions, but through their reactions. A man may lie constantly, but when he is lied to, he is offended. A woman may cheat on her husband and have no problem with it, but when he cheats on her, she will feel hurt. People may be able to ignore the moral law in regards to their own actions, but they always fall back upon it when it's in their favor to do so.
  23. Runesmithie > everything > Viktor. fix'd Fix'd Fix'd But seriously, Runesmithie, get over it. If you think people are too immature, then be mature yourself. Maybe you'll rub off on people. If you're not mature enough to try to fix what you perceive as a problem, then stop complaining.

    Raikou something or other.
  25. Certainly. Both the bully and your friends have problems, therefore you ought to show love to all of them. Why can't people just learn to love? Perhaps it's because some people have never seen love. If you want others to love, you have to show them love first. "Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" is quite the wise saying.
