  1. Two wins so far, RJ. Good start. Looking forward to seeing you in P2P.
  2. With those numbers, I don't see why not. I'm waiting to see how you'll pull on your first PK trip or war.

:) Looking forward to Halo: Reach. But most of all: Fable 3 <3
  4. anyone who was anyone in RSC didn't DIY, sorry m8. Bah, no need to be sorry. I was a nobody back then. Just an elementary school kid having fun, eh? Over the years of playing RuneScape, I came to hate grinding. I'd rather buy materials to grind only once than grind one skill just to get the materials to grind another.
  5. Haha, this old topic again. The recruitment board wasn't active before, but that's changed now of course. I think seeing a differentiation between PK/CWA and skilling/other clans would be a fine update. These days, recruitment threads are pushed to the bottom so quickly.
  6. In classic, I did everything myself. For the first few months of RS2 I carried the same tradition through, but over time, as level gaining became more tedious, I found that buying raw materials produced the quickest results. With infinite shop stocks, the Grand Exchange, and the sheer amount of players providing raw materials, most players don't want or need to do it themselves anymore.
  7. None, but when they come along, it's undeniably fun.
  8. The economy has its ups and downs. The OP is looking long-term.
  9. For a laptop, I strongly advise against overclocking. Laptop components are made for lower power consumption to reduce heat. This is one of the reasons for mobile CPU's and mobile GPU's. Paw_Claw, what's the budget? You should go with cooldog08's suggestion and use HP's laptop customization. Aim for no lower than a 2 GHz dual-core CPU and a HD 3200 or 4200.
  10. DS' core leadership knew that in the near future they wouldn't have the time to fully dedicate themselves, and their interest in the game slowly fell.Just like Shadow Elves I suppose, or similar. Shame DS closed, wonder what it would be like these days with them around. No doubt they dominated their time, but so did DF in their prime, even if it wasn't as large scale. DS would've eventually hit some kind of slump and lost their reign, but I think they'd still have the upper hand on DI. I can even go on to say DI might have not closed if DS was still around. Well put.

  12. Not bad, albeit it still does not fully conform to standards.
  13. When a system lags at specific intervals, there are a few reasons: malware is taking screenshots of your computer screen, your sound driver or device is poor (not necessarily your fault), your anti-malware is scanning, or your anti-malware guard/shield feature is running checks at those intervals.
  14. I've looked for tests that also take into account layout and graphics engines, but they're not as popular as JavaScript oriented ones. I have found CSS rendering tests like this, which on my system Opera and Chrome complete in six and twelve milliseconds respectively. While the Peacekeeper results are in fact reliant on each user's specifications, I don't believe there aren't any Chrome users out there who don't have an i7 920 with two 4870's. My two criticisms are the lack of quick use of access keys and its bare-bones IRC client. Although I believe its widgets are generally underdeveloped, I find user JS and user CSS to compensate. Opera Unite's release has only furthered the boundaries. Such as? The only ones I can think of came from NetCaptor (tabbed browsing) and Firefox (add-ons and extensions.)Those are not innovations of Opera because they were adopted from NetCaptor and Firefox. I will enlighten you with a list of inventions of each browser once I have the time to list them all. You will be surprised :)
  15. There are a few that are ongoing. http://clients.futuremark.com/peacekeeper/index.action Run that test and when you get to the results screen, scroll down. The fastest system is currently Opera 10.51 with over 13,000 points. Chrome 5 held the previous record with just over 10,000 points. Speed, however, is only one aspect of Opera that can be appreciated. It is the source of many innovations other major browsers have adopted. The browser market would be substantially different if Chrome or Opera had not existed.
  16. I can see the bias reeking from this post. This test would like to prove you wrong. That test is outdated. It uses old versions of Firefox, Opera, and Chrome.
  17. Ah. Thought you already had 7 running. Newer motherboards have the 4+2 pin auxiliary connector. When I built my new rig, I didn't know what this extra power connection was doing on my motherboard lol
  18. Most RuneScapers will never know how different clanning is from the rest of the game. The clan scene is one of extreme organization, dynamics, and entwined communities. No other branch of RuneScape, built-in or otherwise, can compare.
  19. IE is a browser for those who either don't know others exist or are too lazy to switch. Firefox is a bandwagon browser. Safari is a Chrome copycat. Chrome is a browser for people who aren't power users. Opera is the is the true innovator, speed king, and feature master. After spending two years evaluating each browser in depth, I can say with my life's confidence that no other major browser can touch even Opera's foundation. If all the other browsers were planets, Opera would be the universe and every parallel.
  20. Teams' purpose are to give clan members more warring experience. And of course, clan events > team events. Under that logic, joining a team is not multiclanning.
