  1. I would have to say for the larger monsters, halberds and pikes where also the only useable mellee weapon against large enemy, In real life there aren't much large beast but in runescape there are plenty. Also aren't there mounted birds somewhere in runescape?
  2. I completly agree, I think the choice of weapon is very limited because the choice of armor is also limited, everyone uses plate and kite, with the plate being strong against stab while weak against crush and the kite being strong against crush and weak against stab (thats at least what jagex is telling people) it balances out to being exually good against anything. And having a look at the stronger f2p Npc's, Lessers, mossgiants, icegiants they all are more or less best fought with a scimmy. (I don't know if thats the same in p2p as well though) I think there should be better variation in f2p armor, like chainmail should be made more atractive by for example having an increase of slash defence, so they could be used against scimmy's in the wilderniss. And perhaps a third kind of melee armor. I have some others idea's about this problem in the back of my mind as well but I plan to think about them some more before I post them.
  3. A long time ago (3 years or so) I tried 3 item death training on jailgaurds while I still was skulled.
  4. I would be happy with any Villgust (Kouryudensetsu Villgust) character, I mean as they can easely get Hp lvls upto 50K and attack and defence lvls up to 20k and can have healing spells healing up to 5k hp. Those stats could certainly keep you alive in the runescape wilderniss for a while, not to mention ruine a castlewar game if he gets his hand on his teams flag.
  5. I don't think it will be hard for a macro to click the numbers, besides they can also use the deposit boxes instead. So it would damage the normal players more then it would do the autoers.
  6. I really like the idee, but I think it will be dificult to get enough people togheter. And I think it would be best if both kings have a real chessboard near them to mirror the game and so keep it more organised. (A person could log out or run away from a swarm, but you would still know where he is supposed to stand.) I also like the specivic clothing for every piece thing, and got some ideas for that of my own: Bishops could be mages (black robes and earth staff for black and blue robes and air staff for white) Knights in full black/steel Rook as an archer (white could either have steel chain and legs, or wear blue dragonhide, and black could wear black dragonhide or black chain and legs) Queens could wear tiara's and maybe princess outfit for white and priest robe for black. And the white king for example could wear a chefshat (No Idea about black though.) Pawns could for example wield bronse or black swords for black and iron or steel swords for white.
  7. I agree, now for example when a unicorn 'runs' away from you, you can just walk after it at the same speed, surely a unicorn should be able to run faster then a human's walking speed.
  8. Black arm gang, I didn't even know it was for a quest till I was in.
  9. I don't really like it, people would just change races every time they would change the thing there training. If changing wouldn't be posible people would complain about it because then the other races would have an advantage over them. I also think some things aren't really balenced in youre idea, if you would mine essence as a dwarf you would twice the xp, but if you would mine runite you would only get 4% more And elves basicly have no drawback as it isn't to hard to simply grab a scimmy or long instead of an battle axe to go slaying. And the best magic exp is 8 exp per hit with the sorcerer, while for range it would only be 5 exp. Also if you look at the advantages without looking at the xp only the humans would have an advantage at the castle war or at duels, in the wildernis it's almost the same except there would also be some elves for the catching. I think if there where to come races in runescape it should only be for the looks and not some advantages.
  10. Let me get this straight,.. You flame an idea for f2p to have an alternative way of paying with: "no, noob scroungers, pay for members." If you ask me you either didn't read the topic or you didn't understand it, but you flamed anyway. Then Lord Muijs gets flamed with a crappy "Lets make everything free" story which: A- Has nothing to do with the topic. B- Has nothing to do with what Lord Muijs said. C- Doesn't even apply to Lord Muijs because is P2P. Could you please explain how Lord Muijs got owned? So please try to think before you post next time, ok? On topic: I think the idea won't work as there aren't many advertisers who would want to pay for meaningless clicks.
  11. Rune plate, I was first to a mask as well, but my inventory was full of cabbage so I couldn't pick it up.
  12. I ussualy go to the ice giants for range and melee (although I don't melee often) And go to white knights for magic training.
  13. My brother got keylogged by a friend, but because of the bankpin he didn't lose much. The 'friend' however lost his own account when some other friend he keylogged took revenge. My brother certainly learned a thing or 2 about account safety because of it.
  14. I would redesign the map, I mean it takes 10 seconds to run from one town to the other, islands are a stonethrow away from the mainland, mountains share the same size as cow pens and I've seen backyards larger then some Runescape forrests.
  15. 1. you disagree and put down to many posts of imagination 2. your the stuborn 1 because you cannot admit that i have a point 3. you are not very imaginative you considre things that are real and donot believe 4.you are kinda cruel to some mistakes so please stop posting you are stuborn or you are this because i hardly can understand you im not stuborn im defending my posts and you are ofending you are the sword and im the shield you attack and i defend ok so please stop saying that kinda of stuff its kinda anoying and even more stubborn 1. Imagionation has nothing to do with the fact he disagrees, you need to give more details, youre idea can be cut down to one line: A new sword connected to a hard quest which can be completed in three ways for each god, with a large reward and a temple. Everything arround it has almost no creativity to it. 2. You don't admit he has a point either, so youre not any better then you say he is. 3. There is no way you could say such a thing unless you youreself hadn't tried imagion his point of view. So please reread his posts carefully and try again. 4. He may be a little straith to the point but he was only trying to help you on that. 5. You did gave him reason to think you where stuborn, all youre replies to suggestion where either "No youre wrong,","So what?" or "ok I'll change it to make you guys stop posting about it." And yes you could say he did attack you, but you did not just defend, you striked right back at him and now so did I, although I tried not to be to offencive. Yes you are right about that you still didn't allow weapons on the island and you are right about somethings are just a matter of opinion. But you seem to firmly believe that youre opinion is right and the opinions who opose you are wrong. That sound like stubornty to me. My opinion, or parts of it may be wrong, feel free to correct the parts of it you think are incorrect, but do remember that youre opinion about those may also be incorrect.
  16. I'm afraid this idea might have some side effects. First there is the merchants who now lose there main merchant goods, they would still want to merchant something so they will focus there attention on treasure trail rewards and the higher weaponry/armors. So then those prices will be brought up by those merchants and now instead of the high levels having to race against the prices of rares, the mid level players will have to race against the prices of those the items they want. Also if it would also heapon to rare items which can't be worn, like half wine and easter eggs, then those items would lose the 2 reasons for there valua, the fact that there rare and that you can make money of them. If those two things would be removed nobody would want them anymore. Then alot of people would cash in those items which would resolve into many goldpieces entering the market, which would likely cause inflation.
  17. I don't think that is entirly correct, the duping did show that an increase in total amount of rare's didn't change much. About those extra GP that where left over after the dupe, I don't really think there where much extra, I mean the people who duped the hats would normaly had there money but now they got banned with it. So I think increase the amount of rare's would only lower the price. If the amount would (greatly) decrease however it would change more. To start the price would increase rapidly, many prospective buyers wouldn't be able to keep up with it. And whats the second best thing to buying a rare? buying a 99skill is. And so there would be more demand for raw materials. If the rare's would completly disapear then also the merchants would resolve toward the materials. And instead of them forceing the prices of rare's higher they would force the prices of those materials higher. (some materials prices are already forced higher.) However as you have said changes to the high alchemy would indeed have way more influence to the economie.
  18. Ok I might not know all about p2p runecrafting, but I think you are missing my point. If you could make more (indirect) money making laws or deaths then while making natures would, then less people would craft natures. Every nature which enters the game has a high chance of being used in the high alchemy spell, which then turns into gp. If less natures are crafted, less gp could be generated by those natures. Maybe creating new (useable) spells which use nature runes could decrease the chance natures are used to high alch. Also I think carpentry might help against the inflation, because it will cause less yews (as long as yews will have a decent part in carpentry) to be used for fletching, and so less yew bows to be alched. Ok my idea's might not be good, but all I'm saying is the inflation is because of the high alching and should be solved there and not by messing arround with rares. (which the origonal idea's are doing.) An other thing I would like to note is, the problem can and should be resorted without causing to much people to complain. If you think otherwise, then please explain why it can't be done.
  19. I don't think the idea would be much good cause it would mostly affect the people that can make the most money at the moment and are saving up for a rare. It would mean they would lose there goal and make them spend there money on something else. Most of these people make indirect money. (as in getting the money from other players instead of generating it themselfs like selling whips) Also most of these people are either high leveled and/or are member, so they are basicly the people jagex shouldn't anger to much. High alching is the only way I can think of at the moment that does generate money directly. I think this is mostly because of the increase of nature runes. It got doubled when switching from Classic to RS2, and its very popular runecrafted. I can't think about anything to counter the doubling at the switch so I think the awnser will have to be in the runecrafting. Some idea's (which won't make to many people angry I think): Give law crafting a small change so it becomes more popular then nature crafting. Or maybe create more teleport spells (or other spells that use law runes) so there will be more demand for law runes. Or introduce Death rune crafting and make that the most popular runecrafting.
  20. I don't think the spells would be a good idea, the price for those abyssal runes would just be a little to great and people would prefere to use it for the teleport, which would be a bit unfair as the high lvl mages would have it rather easy to runecraft then. For the emote's: The hand shake is a good idea, but I don't think people would have a reason (other then it looks nice) to do the worm, flips and the breakdances much.
  21. Ok I know my spelling isn't perfect, but if you have any knowledge about graphics you should at least understand some of it.
  22. Ok lets take a look at this picture of 2 Indentical rock outcrops in the mining guild. (You can sheck out the rocks youreself if you want to they are at the souther wall.) Now I'll paint a few pixel in that picture. The red line through the wierd yellow guy (me) is the zero line. The 4 red dots are the 2 places I've measured from (the places are the same places on both outcrops) those were the most left pixels of both the rear and the right rock on the lowest possible compairable line. The yellow ones are to show the distances between the red dots. Ill explain the blue line later. Now as you can see the red dots on the right outcrop have 15 pixels between them, while the left outcrop (who is furter away from the zero line) Has only 8 pixels between them. The blue line shows slight deformation in the outline of the most left rocks of the outcrop. If I would move 2 squarres to the right it would change the line on the right outcrop to the one the left one has at the moment. This change goes smootly as the 3d engine generates what is to be shown, because it generates it at the spot. If it was a 2d engine and it would run as smootly as runescape does it would need something between 20.000 and 25.000 premade pictures (profided it doesn't have any animation in it.) for every item. And I think if Jagex had to make all of those for every item in RS2 would be out in like december 2103. Classic used like 1 picture for every item, and like 20 (8 for movement and some for fighting) for all characters. Simple elements like walls where I think even generated by a 3d engine in classic. (if you load Classic it does say loading 3d models.) So classic wasn't even 2d.
  23. This rule can be found under: Get the awnser to a question > Macros > Can you clarify rule 7 of the Rules of conduct? On Runescape.com And why would you go through the risk of getting banned if it doesn't do anything the official client doesn't do?
  24. Runescape does have 3d graphics, but if you have anything to back you up in this discussion feel free to post it.
  25. I deserve the ten million gold pieces because I am willing to lie for it. I really do not need it, probably will not even thank you for it, but I write these ninety words anyway. You would be a complete idiot to give the ten million to me, because I will probably waste it all on beer or other drinks. So I beg you please do not give the ten million gold pieces to me. So I ask you, please give the ten million gold pieces to someone who isn't lieing like I am. P.s. Good luck trying to figure out where I'm lieing and where I'm not. Anyways best off luck: Jelleh
