@Gwyn: But everyone thinks that the current formula doesn't consider Summoning at all and that is simply not true. I'm not sure where this misconception comes from, but the combat formula we have now hasn't changed since release of EOC. When current EOC went live the Combat Formula was set to include summoning unlike the beta where it wasn't part of it yet. Did noone think of that there is also an option to choose a NEW Formula? What about something like this:

The current one also takes in Summoning if it's ones highest skill ;).

But it isn't 622h to get 200m mining, It is 622 hours to get 200m Mining, Smithing and Magic. LRC mining takes 1700 hours to get 200m Mining. However it also trains Smithing and Magic alongside it, this just doesn't need to be added to the warbands time because in this case the goal is comparing 1 way to get 200m mining versus the other way. [Pre-Warband mining vs Post-Warband Mining] Then it's still 2077 hours versus 138 hours [Optimal for both].

But you still need to be @ lrc for 1700 hours to even achieve dat 200m mining =3! As far as I can see in your calculations, you are moving mage and smith exp gains to mining magically (get the pun?), which cannot be done. If you say about 90k pure mining exp/h (during superheating/dropping/qh and whatnot): (200m-13m) / 90k = 2077. So you need to be in LRC for 2077 hours according to those calculations. I think thats your mistake there o.O But don't take it from me as I am a girl =)

Just to get something out here: If you would warband Mining, you would also need to warband smithing and possibly train magic versus mining with BA bonus exp and superheating for additional smithing and magic exp.

Yeah :( Still waiting for dat wb nerf... The sad part is Jagex already thinks they did Perhaps changing the exp to bonus exp.

They said that despite being a 'buyable' skill, it will be very slow. They also said they intend on the 'buyable' part of the skill only contributing a small percentage bonus to XP rates. I have a hunch that is similar to the buyable part divination has.

To be honest, I had the idea that they had no clear path that they want to take with Invention, unlike with the Elf City =/ So without some general idea on where they want to head with Invention, idea's cant be sprung that easily
