World 1, 16 both P2P along with 10 others
How exactly does it splinter the hunt? W60 is mainly for those who like chat-based hunting, W71 for thread-based hunting. Both are valid methods and I think both deserve recognition. The current communities will stick to their current worlds as they have in the past, and new hunters will see both possibilities and have the option to decide between them. The peng hunt community is by far big enough for two worlds (there are actually some more being used) and due to the mechanics of how the different groups operate, trying to combine them in one world wouldn't even function properly. Noobs may not know that W71 is thread based. Jagex could at least mention on the theme that 71 is thread based and 60 is fc based. That is why generalising both worlds simply as peng hunting is a bad move.

Transformers Universe - no longer a MMORPG, now a MOBA.
Just read that Jagex have changed the game from an MMORPG to a MOBA (muliplayer online battle arena) a bold move considering this game was pegged as an MMORPG for as long as I can remember. Can't wait to get beta access and see what it's all about though still.

They never mentioned before making world 1 p2p...they said they were taking 5 low populated worlds that were f2p and converting them, I'd hardly call W1 lowly populated ... Also naming 71 as a peng hunt world is odd move, sure there are the penguin whispers or w/e they're called that hunt there but you risk splintering the peng hunt community more making 2 worlds themed instead of 60 or 71.

Pretty sure it's not going to get any harder until you unlock the next region. In other words, once you lvl up your ship/crew enough to handle these tasks, it'll be pretty easy till you're done with The Skull We will have same issue when we reach third area though, like we did going from arc to skull, we won't really be able to train at skull anymore because we'll need slate from the third area for ship/crew and the reqs. will only get even higher when we move to third area. it's going to be a viscous circle.

the requirements are going up faster than we can seemingly get our ship improved, that's my experience anyway. on a plus side, I have been completing voyages with % ratings as low as 48% (did my scroll voyage with 58% rating), so that kind of makes up for it.

Looks like, based on the email I just received, that closed beta seems to be open to certain players with high level tech specifications based on there survey and computer stat check they ran before. Kind of a annoyed I wasn't in that group of said testers but I can understand there reasoning they gave, that the tech requirements are too high for some people so far to handle Main text of the email from today.

I think the misconception is stemming from: IF you do fail stats OTHER than the ones for mission can be referenced in the blurb of the cause. eg I had a combat mission sent off about 80 something % when it came back failed the blurb said due to low morale there was a minor mutiny that caused the failure. I dunno if this actually means low morale caused the fail or if it's just a shippy/piratey reasoning. the low morale/minor mutiny was just a reason given for the voyages failure due to your combat being under 100% I'm guessing. They can't say you failed because you didn't meet the combat requirement we set because that doesn't sound as piratey/nautical

I'm looking into getting the vampirism item (scrimshaw?) for the pocket slot, free hp boost for damage dealt will be useful :) then possibly mage armour, seeing as I haven't got the reqs. to make melee/tetsu armour.

I meant at the moment while they still spam us with the all 400 voyages crew selection is irrelevant, when they stop giving you the 400s and all the voyages available are at least 1600+ then real strategy and crew selection will be truly relevant. Let's hope they go that high, fast. I'm a bit disappointed that there aren't more fun examines/dialogue/areas (some stairs don't go anywhere for example). But it looks great, and it seems like a solid game. Roll on multiple 1600 requirements per voyage I say :)

My ships are officially called Enterprise & Intrepid, but in spirit they go by my preferred choices of Freedom and Prometheus :D The ships have massive bonuses once you start upgrading them too, I was expecting the crew to have more of a bearing but so far the ships nearly have the requirements for the easier voyages just with a captain present. Sure that will change when the higher req. voyages start being more prominent all 800s or 1600s etc. and make crew selection more important.

Think that idea through, how many ships called "[bleep]unub" do you want XD. Also suprised no highscores for pop was introduced in this. Correct me if i'm wrong but aren't your ship names only viewable by yourself, unless you share screenshots of them? (and they can removed by admins if need be) So really if someone wants to call there ships "[bleep]unub" then that's there choice. But I do get where your coming from.

New ports are a lot of fun, two issues with update though, why couldn't we create our own ship names instead of pre-selected words? (alas Freedom & Prometheus you shall never be at least at least they gave options for Enterprise and Intrepid I suppose) and not relating to ports but...my TzHaar title has changed from being at the start of my name to the end. 'Player name' TzHaar just looks so wrong compared to TzHaar 'Player name'....jus' sayin'...

I was simply stating my opinion, I am well aware it's considered a skill by most runescapers and most definately considered a skill by all maxed players and the 200mil 'scapers. I just really hope the new skills are nothing like dg. Which i'm very hopeful they won't be considering they're gathering and processing skills which pretty much rules out any possibility of it being like dg.

Well based on last few updates (runespan etc.) and with action bars (1 button dropping of ores/fish) Jagex are making skill more afk-friendly or at least less click intensive, all depends if Jagex follow this new trend or not

Why cant I make a decorated fishing urn?
I had similar problem, up the top of the new make interface you need to click on the drop down menu that says pots and select fishing urns, hope that helps :) I was staring blankly at the make interface the other day for 5 minutes until I realized for my daily challenge,

If you want to check yourself just put on captions (cc button) it very accurately subtitles the entire video. If that helps at all. In relation to PoPs they look amazing I can't wait to try them out, so glad I have 90+ fishing and runecraft, should buy 90 smith prior to release ideally, we'll see though.
