Would make more sense to leave this years tip pic thread pre PoP. then everyone can show off there PoP armour variations for 2013 tip pic thread. That way everyone can compare how relevant and appealing the PoP armour is next year compared to this years batch of armour

I guess if that was true, then absolute power corrupts absolutely. The lure of being the first to 5b now suomi has pretty much ruled himself out of contention for the foreseeable future must be so intense for Jake now, he's gone from being honestly a rank outsider to hit 5b first, to being the leader of the pack. Any advantage any of the top players can gain over there peers would be monumental now.

That would be my idea of hell :o I can't stand talking to more than 4-5+ people via pm at once. No wonder soumi doesn't want the fame attached to being number 1, if he gets mass pm spammed upon logging.

How are people playing this game? I visited the site, registered my email/user and am now at a complete loss. The servers won't open or go to untitled tabs on my browser, and nowhere on the main page does it mention where to download if i have to. All it seems to mention is it's coming to steam soon, but the severs are already full so is there an alternate way to download?

I'm really hoping Jagex get away from the click and point movement and make TU work via the WASD method, I just can't imagine transformers being restricted to point and click. And before anyone tries to say it won't be possible in a browser game, Jagex have employed the same WASD feature into there latest FB game I have beta access to called Carnage Racing.

Just had my beta sign up email for Transformers Universe. Made an account and awaiting news if I've been selected for early beta access. My only concern so far is that you pre-select your side, just hoping game doesn't become too one-sided i.e. more AUtobots than decepticons. I am intrigued to how TU will handle combat and a skill system, will we see a EoC style combat with abilities etc. and how will we have to upgrade our characters, wil we be forced into hand to hand combat if we have no ammo, or get allocated a sling style weapon that is low hits but unlimited ammo, some sort of wrist cannon? Maybe we can earn parts from pvp kills to fuse with our characters, the possibilities would be endless. Anyway very much looking forward to TU, just hope Jagex don't ruin the game. Feel free to discuss. PS. Autobot sign up for me, autobots roll out.

Divisions and rifts between normal staff and upper management are hardly surprising or unexpected. The upper management at my workplace are so out of touch, ignorant to the truth, up there own asses and have such unrealistic targets simply because they only care about the bigger picture i.e. maximizing there yearly profit margins & 'earning' there bonuses that they put stupidly impossible targets and guidelines for the normal staff to complete. Therefore I am not surprised that Jagex employees feel the same in there reviews. Until upper management almost everywhere kick themselves into touch and actually make an effort to show they care about the 'little' people that keep there companies running smoothly, they will be always be regarded with such little respect & sometimes even contempt.

The purpose of the rule is because you can call out anyone for something with or without proof otherwise. The 'without' part is why the rule exists. The rule is useful for protecting players when no proof is presented, but removing the video when it's clear that the player in question has obviously cheated the system then I think the video should have remained. Guilty parties deserve no protection.

This was just a simple example it's like if you are eating the same thing days and days it soon tastes like wood or worse, it loses it mean to be delicious and the joy of eating it goes away at the same. I did this example of Harry Potter because I personally didn't like the last 2 books since the story was already too long to continue but this is only my opinion. Quick question seeing as they moved polypore spell from staff into spellbook with only reqs. 80 mage & staff, does the spell degrade staff to cast still? or does a staff grant unlimited Polypore casts? EDIT: nvm, confirmed it myself, staffs do degrade when polypore strike spell is cast. Moral of story stick to air staff + air surge ^^

Why do you care? All you do is stake anyway. That's exactly why he cares, cause staking is no longer what it was. Is there no disable ability or momentum only/auto-momentum button? If that's the case then yea that should be something added. I've heard there is an disable ability option on duels but it's glitchy and lets momentum work still.

The fact they have mentioned eastern lands in the PoP's lore is the first real step to eastern lands becoming a place our characters can eventually visit. Up until now the only mention to my knowledge of eastern lands was a ghostly sailor or some similar NPC in Port Phas. Jagex linking such a massive project like Player owned ports and the fabled eastern lands, including us bringing back weapons and armour as loot from the eastern lands, is very clear evidence that eventually the eastern landmass will be on our world map to explore.

Urgh these D&D style penguin hunt clone rip off seasonal events are utter bs. get back to doing what you did best quest styled seasonals with an actual story and reward. Not everyone has the time to do these hunts for turkeys/ghosts/eggs etc. I personally would prefer a sort of quest I could come back to when I log in if I have to go afk 10 minutes into it.

I know a variety of celestial staff does for p2p, maybe tanglegum is the ftp alternative

I've seen a fair few t10 drops on c6 floors 28-32 but they tend to be arrows or bows that I lack the levels to use, damn you 81 ranged :/ binded the t10 bow for when I do eventually hit 90 ranged though and got a t9 bow bound for use now. I also found a pair of boots that require 90 ranged to wear with 'a very high magical resistance' forgot the names of the boots but they looked a little like fancy boots from Stronghold of security, unsure how rare they are and were tierless.

I always used to c1 rush solo but since update I've been pulling in an average of 8-9k xp per c6 small solos (6-10 minutes per dungeon). So for now my preference is c6 smalls.

The only post that I am aware of, in this thread, which was completely unnecessary and ruined anyone's reading pleasure was yours, not Karnsy's. The sentiment expressed by Karnsy's post is perfectly legitimate, and quite widespread, and is, indeed, a valid criticism. The sentiment is actually quite pervasive in the RS community and has been for quite some a defining characteristic of RS; namely that what made RS so unique as compared to other MMORGPS was its simplicity. There are plenty of MMORPG's that are more complex, and there always will be, but there aren't too many like RS. Furthermore, part of the simplicity was due to the nature of the game; it's a browser game, it was never able to match the other MMORPGS(which tended to resort on downloads rather browsers , and it still might, not in various areas. Thus, simplicity made sense. While Jagex is free to do as they please, to implement such a change at this point is a complete departure from one RS's founding principles and how it was developed and sustained over the years. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing, but it does mean that people who signed up to RS for that simplicity and spent years on it, having grown accustomed to it, will be naturally be upset. It's a legitimate grievance and they have every right to express it. Next time, actually try to think for a little bit before you resort to knee-jerk petulance and nonsense. OK maybe I was a little bit harsh, but games evolve with time, any game that does not change will ultimately die out. That is the life cycle of any game specially an MMORPG. And the criticism that Runescape is trying to copy other MMO's is not valid, abilities and action bars have existed in games long before MMOs made there appearance on the gaming scene. That's like saying oh runescape is copying 'random MMO' because it's introduced summoning ... no there have been games for years that let you summon creatures to fight for you etc. not just MMO's. Jagex have even introduced momentum to please these simplicity players, and plan on improving it further when EoC goes live by letting it randomly fire of an ability without so much as an action bar click by the player which would be equivalent to current rs combat with an added kick. So really nothing changed on the simple combat front.

It's called adapting. Also they aren't "like" other MMO's. they carry similar yet distinct "concepts." Karnsy's post is trying to be like other complainers on Runescape's FB page & RSOF uninformed, simplistic and lacking any real critique value (or whatever you want to cal it). EDIT: on topic though posts like that piss me the hell off. All I see whenever Jagex post on the RS fb page now is please don't release EoC your going to ruin your game, over 90% of veterans will quit if you release EoC or stop trying to copy WoW gf wowscape etc. etc. If your that upset about the EoC coming, make a detailed complaint about what exactly is so bad with it i.e. prayer drain, ability cooldowns/effects etc. and let Jagex try to tweak the EoC to make it playable for you. Ultimately the EoC is coming no matter what, adapt or shut the hell up complaining and ragequit already.
