  1. Considering the KBD and the KQ are already married, I don't see how they plan to fit the QBD into the story.
  2. I vanquished him on my second try, and I certainly didn't have any fancy equipment - I was level 106. Are you guys all much lower levels, or did I just find the fight much easier than you?
  3. The players who really find these updates worth quitting over have, for the most part, already quit in 2007.
  4. I want to get 99 agility, and I want to see the elven questline concluded, before RS finally collapses. Also, at the very end of my career I'll blow away my bank on something fun but wasteful such as attempting to PK. I love quests, and though I want to see all the questlines complete, I'm especially interested in MEP3. Every quest in that line was such a masterpiece, one would hardly believe that it was made by the same company that introduced the SoF and RWT with it. (Well, in a sense, it's not the same company, with the Gowers gone.) And even nowadays, Jagex can do good enough quests.
  5. They do help out to an extent - it's called the bank PIN. Unless you've just returned from a long break (in which case the hacker had plenty of time to cancel the PIN code) you're partly at fault.

Don't worry. Soon, Jagex will monopolise the RWT market. Then there won't be any other RWT-advertising bots. I usually view them as entertainment - I try to memorise the best offer I get. So far, for me, the record is $14,58 for 20M. What I never get is why several of them message me at the same time. I mean, it's obvious they belong to the same person/company, else they wouldn't all be sent in under a split-second, but then why do they advertise different websites and different prices?
  7. For now, yes, but if Jagex goes further with the RWT and the microtransactions, I'll call it quits.
  8. Damn, now I'm scared. I heard that even an old password is enough to recover the account. What can I even do to secure my account? I'm gonna switch my recovery answers to random gibberish even now (shoulda done that ages ago), but anything else?
  9. It's been done a thousand times already, you're just giving Jagex more profit as a reward for this crappy idea of theirs. Don't do it.
  10. I would have preferred it if Jagex had dropped actual phats in Lumbridge (and elsewhere). They'd have been untradable, of course, and would have disappeared on the 2nd, but they would have scared every phat owner who can't read the front page or doesn't know what day it is. As it is, it's not too impressive, and the joke only really works if you read the front page first and then log in - most people do the opposite.
  11. Thanks for reminding me that it's April the 1st, I almost forgot.
  12. Another point for the Elf Lands here, they're just so well developed. Shame that the last quest(s) for it is/are still missing, I'd really love to play through the conclusion of the quest line. Morytania is also great. Really, what the two areas have in common is that they're so easy to imagine yourself in. The others... just a bit less.
  13. No, you aren't, none of the skills can be boosted on that quest. In addition, I'd advise you to look up the meaning of the word "questionnaire", as it is not the same as a question and this is therefore entirely the wrong place for the thread.
  14. Except it gave away my favorite item ive earned over 150 mil on, in less than 1 month of playing about 20 minutes a day. Serves you right. It's about time GE merchanting came to an end - letting all the secrets out should help reduce the profit at least.
  15. Could've got members, you didn't want to. Great reasoning with that. Really. Since when did Jagex need to dangle a carrot that badly to get more subscribers? Since they dropped a load of money by banning member bots.
  16. Is this sarcasm? I sure hope it is.
  17. No, it's not a good idea. Instead, go to the Wildy course at 52, or (I think) 49 with a summer pie (the entrance needs 52, and I think one obstacle needs 49). Then do either that, or from 60, Werewolf to 70. Before level 70, Ape Atoll is too slow because of the failures. Wildy is better if you are skilled at not getting killed by PKers, but Werewolf is not far behind. The fastest way to get ninja monkey bones is to kill a ninja monkey. I think those scimitar guards work just as well as the archers.
  18. In case you haven't gotten this one yet, medium level 73: 5893 xp.
  19. I would, in fact, not have a problem with the removal of the GE, either. For me, the biggest problem would be regarding all those random items that you sometimes need and would have real trouble procuring on your own, but which have little market. For example, if I would need an adamant square shield, but didn't have the smithing level for it, what would I do? It'd be a hella lot more difficult to get one that way than now. Otherwise, I too enjoyed Falador.
  20. Holy damned hell! You actually fell for a doubling money scam? I hereby point and laugh at you. I agree with your concerns on points 3 and 4, although in the case of 4, the other skills should also get these untradable perks at high-levels - just not in such an overpowered way. There should be an incentive to leveling.
  21. If it weren't for the GE, I'd seriously consider having the pre-2007 world back. Still, with all the little updates that fixed faulty parts of the game, I'm leaning towards a no. If only the game could capture the spirit of the pre-2007 times while still remaining like it is now.
  22. Apparently. This is the big double standard in the thread: the level 3 skiller who voted "no" is the most honest person ever and only voted once, always (even though his reason, namely that the free trade economy is less favorable for him, is purely selfish), while the level 108 PKer who just wanted to enjoy the game like it was back then, before 2007, is a dishonest scamming gambler who created 10 accounts to vote. You seem to forget a simple fact that weighs far more than all the ramblings about the economy and the bots: the removal of free trade crippled RuneScape, it was a critical point where the game took a deep plunge into its dark ages of which it has never recovered, even despite Jagex's decision to wisely undo the changes in 2010. If you are so concerned about bots, play a singleplayer game; no company has ever managed to find a solution to bots (unless the game inherently can't be botted), and Jagex has only proven that trying to eliminate them at the cost of lowering the quality of the game is just not worth it. Evidently Jagex have other ways of killing bots; if they only had the willpower to keep fighting, instead of doing only one bot cleanup every year that lasts for a month... Also, comparing the vote to a third world election is pretty steep unless you can prove that Jagex released fake voting results.
  23. What a sore loser you are. Of course, multiple accounts are the only explanation for the victory of the massively more popular (and superior) option! Trololol.
  24. Around 15k/hour, which is not surprising as I spend lots of time doing inefficient but fun activities in RS. I don't know about you guys, but I think RS is a game, not my job - it should be treated accordingly.
