  1. Are you really that [developmentally delayed]ed or are you just trolling? It's not luck like a soloed Armadyl hilt. It's an update that completely ruins the Runescape experience for weeks. It forces players to grind, hoard, and no-life when they otherwise wouldn't. When the first weekend was announced, some players just happened to be either loaded with charms or had the junk to buy unbuyable herbs and seconds. It turned Runescape upside down for everyone. I completely agree with Soma's post a little ways up. I wouldn't mind a bonus weekend if it only affected mostly unbuyable skills and had a lower, static multiplier. Possible player outcomes if Jagex has a bonus exp weekend: 1- Obtain supplies 2- Buy supplies 3- Wing it and just train fairly casually 4- Get lucky, because you already had supplies saved up 5- Don't participate Is it that hard for you to understand? Any update can have an economic effect, get over it. You missed the part where players stress out for weeks, are unable to purchase supplies, and no-life for the entire weekend because they feel that they have to. You have an incredibly short-sighted and narrow view of what these weekends mean for Runescape. They promote grinding in an already grind-based game. Jagex isn't responsible for personality flaws. I don't feel forced to hoard items because of a bonus xp weekend. People who feel forced to hoard items are like the people who were "forced" to train every skill for the Shattered Heart statue. It's not supposed to be a GOAL, it's supposed to be a BONUS. And as you said, this game is already completely grind-based. Bonusing the xp for the grinding doesn't change the core gameplay. It only changes it for the players who delude themselves into thinking Jagex is forcing them to hoard items.
  2. Lol, do you have anything positive to say? If you are going to call an article false or misleading, at least quote certain sections. You aren't "cool" or "edgy" because you have your smarmy, unbacked opinions. Hopefully you grow out of your teenage angst phase soon.

  4. But that's simply not true. Take Toony001 for example -- he had tens of thousands of charms saved up which he used to take the #1 spot for summoning last bonus exp weekend. Not everyone has the same opportunity to stock up on supplies, especially in an economy where people will surely turn to junk trades to get the supplies they need upon announcement of a second bonus weekend. Who wins? Those who saved up charms or had the junk necessary to purchase their supplies. The better/smarter player always wins. Whats your point? Because lazy = smart, right? Buying summoning supplies and procrastinating to use them hardly proves intelligence. There was no way he could have known about the weekend before any other player. Off-Topic: I wonder if the Demo will get the Bonus XP this time around. Then its luck. Which has nothing to do with Jagex doing Bonus XP Weekends.

  6. I'm looking forward to another bonus XP weekend. I don't consider it a moral indecency to get extra xp for a weekend when a million other people have the same opportunity as me. (and yes, I know that a certain amount of players have to go to a wedding or they are on vacation etc and won't be able to play, that's not Jagex's fault)
  7. Pretty sure drunk people are gonna be thrown out ;)
  8. RS players are usually completely oblivious to everything other than RS.
  9. Because you have to be addicted to a game in order to want to go to a fun event with likeminded players and talk to the people who created the game. Nice.
  10. Actually, Jagex is not a small company, they are the biggest independent developer in the UK and have over 350 employees. And from their RuneFest twitter feed: @Sliferdude24 Yup, depending on how this one goes we would 100% love to go international with RuneFest & take it to all our players, Biggest Independent Developer doesn't mean they are a big company. Big companies have thousands of employees not jsut 350+ Also loving the idea and practically doing it are two different things. Many jmods have said all over the place there are laods of player suggestions and ideas they love to use but there isnt time so they don;t etc. By your logic, no company is big because there are always mega-conglomerates that have thousands upon thousands of employees. Have some sense of context please? Jagex has the money to support international RuneFests. Runescape HD cost them way more than renting a convention center for a day.

  12. I wish I could go, but I live in the United States. Hopefully they bring one over here if this one is successful.
  13. Have you never heard voice acting before....
  14. I loved the voice acting, i wanna see more of it
  15. Try not making a huge wall of text next time you want people to read a long post
  16. I know that, still epic though. Would a herb cleaning google docs spreadsheet count as a screenie >_> https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=tFr-0QsqK66rLX2wiVsOGpg&hl=en&pli=1 You expect the average person to clean 7k herbs an hour? Really?... Why not? Using mousekeys efficiently, it is possible. Just spam the 5 and + buttons whilst you move your mouse... Sounds really fun.
  17. I cnt undrstnd ur stof bc iz lyke no vowles hmg wtf. second article had a few errors, mainly regarding the 120 cap, its just dungeonerring, not all skills as the article implies. first article is nothing new... I love how the majority of Dungeoneering haters don't even know how to properly construct a sentence. Definitely not a coincidence.
  18. Second article: A couple thousand ranters on the forums doesn't make "the majority of the Runescape population" hate Dungeoneering. What a joke of an article.
  19. New skill should have been called Kraiding ;)
  20. So ignore the fact that it's called a skill. It being a skill doesn't affect the actual gameplay at all. You are complaining for the sake of complaining.
  21. It was never confirmed as a skill. In fact, Jagex has denied it several times. Literally the only reason why people thought sailing would be a skill was that people thought the mage in the Runescape banner picture was sailing. Seriously. I know it was silly. I bet those people are crying or something. It's actually pretty hilarious, yesterday on RSOF there were several "I WOULD HAVE RATHER HAD SAILING" threads. Pretty funny stuff

  23. Or you could just read the Dungeoneering articles on the Knowledge Base ... I have, but I still haven't memorized how good each item is, what strategy to use, what skills to utilize when, etc. More of a learning process I guess. Hopefully I will get there eventually.. You dont need to memorize anything. Tier 1 is the worst, Tier 11 is the best. Therefore, you can gauge how good an item is instantly by just examining it. As for strategies and what skills to utilize, that's just trial and error i guess :)
