  1. Fun? Variety? Oh wait, you play this game for efficiency and numbers. Maybe try checking out some spreadsheet programs, I hear they are much better than video games.
  2. Haha, dont worry, Mod Dylan is not working on this quest series ;)
  3. Been playing since 2001, so I tend to DIY whenever its practical. For example, farming for herbs instead of buying them, doing drags instead of buying the bones, etc. I find its more fun to actually obtain items and then sell them or use them rather than merching (essentially making money out of money) and just buying skills.
  4. I do think the original bosses don't have the same effect anymore because frankly any old content can get outdated pretty quickly in a game that changes so quickly. I also think that surface bosses are plain boring. Of course, for anyone who is maxed out they are going to be relatively easy, but I think theres an inherent flaw in doing surface bosses on Runescape nowadays with the advent of Dungeoneering. Dungeoneering bosses are fun because they don't have the insane risk of bosses like Corp and GWD to lose all of your valuables, and many of the Dungeoneering bosses have really cool, unique gameplay mechanics. Not only are the original surface bosses old and outdated with the new additions like curses etc, but they have a pretty bad risk-to-reward ratio for casual players, and I just disagree in general with the notion that you have to risk all of your valuables to go boss-hunting unless you are an extremely dedicated RS player, so i'm glad that Dungeoneering came out for the regular RS players to do some fun boss-hunting. Just my 2 cents ;)
  5. Uh....Which quest concluded the Mahjarrat series? Keyword being concluded. This. Jagex already said the Grandmaster quest "Ritual of the Mahjarrat" will conclude the series near the end of this year. That BTS quote was referring to all the preceding quests that took place in 2009. Granted, they shouldn't have said "another complete series" but you know what they meant ;)
  6. Chill it, skillet
  7. This thread is quite epic
  8. It doesn't say FunOrb News anymore either, it just says Jagex News and RuneScape News. Trying to find evidence that it did say FunOrb News but I'm pretty sure it did. Indeed, although that specific change happened quite a bit back (around 6 months or more). Definitely a re-branding stage right now for Jagex
  9. Ya... they are lazy because they gave next weeks update early... keep being smart kiddo Next week's update was CW improvements? Nice to see them working hard. Ungrateful kids ftw. Hopefully you grow up soon
  10. Ya... they are lazy because they gave next weeks update early... keep being smart kiddo
  11. Considering they haven't even made a newspost about it, it doesnt seem to be of much interest to Jagex to improve on the client. :( Also, this seems odd now: (from TheJagexChannel on YouTube)
  12. Except that Dungeoneering is dungeon crawling (Torchlight, Diablo, etc) and nothing like WoW. WoW has heroics and raids, which have no dungeon crawling whatsoever, its the same instance every time and its completely combat-based. OP is just a kid that doesn't understand fun gameplay and will end up coming back to Runescape like all the "quitters" do.
  13. Awesome, except for the lack of ALT+TAB support in Fullscreen mode, making it useless as a full client. Pretty good step forward though. Hopefully if enough people talk about it they will remove the black bar and make ALT+TAB work.
  14. I wonder if the Party interface is also going to be getting a revamp? They didn't mention it in the blog but in recent interviews didn't Mod Mark talk about making it easier to group up with people and improving the party system?
  15. Uh, the old armour was ridiculous and garish. Time to stop looking at things through your nostalgia-tinted glasses. Seriously, plain flat red armour? Plain flat white armour? That looked good to you? The armour being high-quality and actually looking like real armour doesn't make it a copy of Dungeoneering. Please tell me you are joking. Your logic is as sound as the ranters who complained about the Zanaris graphical upgrade. I highly doubt that something so trivial as a graphical UPGRADE of armours and actual in-minigame USES for the armour is the first update you truly "hate."
  16. ITT: Kids overreact to a regional ad campaign from a well-known company that only lasts a weekend. And people wonder why Jagex doesn't take the RS community seriously, lmao...
  17. Your opinions smell like generic 12 year old RSOF ranter. Dungeoneering requires actual input unlike other skills. How is it like Agility then? I love how your idea of a good skill is one that is fast exp, easily AFK's, and earns you money. Basically, you like playing a spreadsheet, not a video game.
  18. Theres a few graphical glitches since the core graphics engine has been revamped, the most apparent being the glitchy graphics in POH. System update should come out soon to fix it.
  19. Every time a new skill comes out everyone tries it. Then it becomes like any other skill, people train it on and off. Nothing is "dying"
  20. prayer is exactly the same though lol Not true, they smoothed out the Prayer emote
  21. Now confirmed: Also, FunOrb games are now (May 25, 2010) directly acessible on Jagex.com. If you click "Play Now" on a game on Jagex.com, it doesn't even take you to FunOrb anymore, you can just directly play it. My predictions are coming to fruition it seems.
  22. Jagex doesn't design quests for 5% of their playerbase
  23. The games would still be available on Jagex.com. FunOrb as a branded service has failed, the games themselves are still quite decent.
