  1. Zbiasing are the flickering bugs. What they are adding is Zbuffering.. to solve these bugs. The reason why this was tied to the TT update was because they coded the update in the new version of the engine. This was all stated on the thread... If they can't solve the engine problem they are going to recode it in the old engine.
  2. First article - meaningless Second article - RS kids don't care about being polite
  3. An outline is not equivalent to a deadline. Not by any stretch of the imagination. Especially when you're talking about a piece of software. Then again, we've got some pretty imaginative members in our community. :) Agreed, the outcry is a bit ridiculous.
  4. Player Support works nights and weekends (shift system). Everyone else works 9 to 6, overtime isn't allowed at Jagex (stated by MMG). And they already said why they are going to use zbuffering. It's an industry standard technique which will remove the zbias bugs we have been having ( the weird flickering on certain objects). Additionally it will allow for more complex models and animations for the future.
  5. Except he's blaming Jagex.... "I did solo, don't tell me to do Team okey? And in this case it's not about connection, so again JAgex fails." Protip: Next time you hop on someone's nuts to protect them, make sure you read the whole argument. I fail to see how me flaming him negates his misplaced hatred for Jagex.
  6. Dont bother, SirHemen is obviously either developmentally challenged or an immature teenager that doesn't understand the simple fact that online games require a constant internet connection.
  7. I'll give you a perfect example of a Runescape kid. People like this exist by the thousands That's not trolling, thats just being young and stupid. Another example would be the "noob" arguments that take place in every GE across the world.
  8. So using 5 hours, and disconnecting througout the hours and losing all progress is easy? Cool... You may say "Well that's your connection's fault", i will say "No, it's way Dungeoneering is made up - exp until you finish the floors". Jagex doesn't make content for the minority of players who have unstable internet connections. They already updated it so that you can take a 10 minute break if you are soloing (Dungeoneering 1.5). You're crying about an online game having content that requires a constant internet connection. What a joke. Your the joke - i am just telling why i find the skill very hard. And since Jagex haven't taken into consideration that many players tend to have bad connections, then they fail at their content. All other skills except Dungeoneering is endurable with disconnections. Lmao "Your the joke". Awesome comeback. Worthy of a Runescape kid. If you have a bad ISP then stop playing MMORPG's. You're lucky that Runescape is a meaningless point-and-click grind because you can get away with it. Jagex releases the only skill that requires you to actually play and you cry about it.

  10. Any kid can lie about age when registering. The "Average age is 16" argument doesn't mean [cabbage]. Anyone whose played Runescape for more than a day knows that the game is filled to the brim with 8-13 year olds.
  11. Why are we discussing utility? Does the gold piece, the central unit of currency in this game, have any utility? Utility - n - the state or quality of being useful Gold pieces are used for buying items, therefore they are useful. Strawman argument decimated. A party hat can be exchanged for gold pieces to buy items. A party hat represents gold pieces. In terms of use or utility, which in my opinion should not be debated since everything is relative, x gold pieces have less use relative to their party hat equivalent. An actual gold piece(s) is the most useless item in the game if you think about it. But much like a party hat, it's value is not derived from how you can use it, but by what it represents. If the only use of an item is to sell that item, then its a useless item. Once you have a party hat you can't do anything with it other than wait to sell it. Yes, we can go down the whole "but its an investment and investments are useful" debate, but at the end of the day the only way you will be able to use your Party Hat is if you convert it into gold pieces first. I like making fun of people who ignore points that they can't dispute.

  13. Whose betting that Whip will never have a response to this point:
  14. I've played for 6 years and i have never had a 99. It doesn't mean i havn't accomplished anything. I play the game for enjoyment, not levels. I have reached a point where i am enjoying getting a 99, and i see no other logical reason for getting one. Same here, been playing since '03, never even attempted to get a 99. That level of grinding borders on masochism. Btw, here's a pic that describes why many kids get 99's: (I lol'd when I saw this on SD forums, I had to screenshot it)
  15. What? Jagex is easing the already terrible grinding at high levels? This is madness, everyone should have to endure the same level of grinding that I had back in [insert year] before [insert content update] !!!! OP, get over yourself.
  16. Nope, it's still fun. The people who claim that "I prefer having fun to making money" just say this because either they never have tried flipping or they failed once, gave up and want everyone else who kept trying and got better at it to give it up. Last time I checked video games weren't about simulating the stock market. If you truly think its fun to flip items and make a profit, then why not get a career on Wall Street instead of playing Runescape.
  17. I dont play Runescape to make money. I prefer having fun. All the money you've earned from Runescape is useless the moment you quit. The fun stays with you forever. Just a little advice, since I was exactly like you when I was a kid ;)
  18. Jagex has literally never said they have three skills in development. ESPECIALLY not 6-8 months ago. Stop trying to make up things, if you're trolling you're doing a bad job of it. Maybe take the time of unemployment to improve your research skills.
  19. It's awesome how the opinion of a new skill changes just a couple months after release. When will the community ever learn.... (Disclaimer: I think Dungeoneering was the best skill we've gotten ever since the release day)
  20. very constructive post. wd  You have yet to offer any sort of rebuttal to any argument in this thread, yet you feel compelled to tell others that they're not posting constructively? Question: Do you own any party hats or wearable rares? If you do, why? There are much better alternatives available, so I don't see the point in spending hundreds of millions on an aesthetic item which offers no benefit to you other than making you feel cool. That's arguably much more [developmentally delayed]ed than wearing a skill cape, which, at the very least, is proof that a player has a skill that will actually help him/her somewhere in Runescape or Daemonheim. Disclaimer: The above is laced with sarcasm. I don't want anyone jumping down my throat thinking that I hate rares. Why apologize for making a good point? You were correct, rares are for all intents and purposes meaningless.
  21. You can make anything look bad if you describe it from one angle. Simply put, if people dont cancel their subscription after quitting the game just so they can save 90c in the future, they are morons. This has nothing to do with Jagex, as Jagex is just providing a nice loyalty rate for those who DO play.
  22. Gnomes look like whatever Jagex wants them to look like. There's no such thing as a universal gnome archetype. Lemme guess, the new D Scimmy doesn't look like a D Scimmy  Agreed, I really hope Jagex gets around to updating them this year...
  23. The only reason why prices are dropping is because people think the prices should be dropping. Wait a week or two and the kids will have something else to panic about.
  24. You pretty much described every modern video game I guess? Runescape is nice, but because of Dungeoneering i decided to quit. It requires quite alot attention and you get slow experience. There is also flaws within it: Disconnecting/Solo Exp rate (I dced and lost a game even with new update). If Jagex wants to raise caps, they should have done it in beginning. Why do i talk about that? Melee combat is what i like>Chaotic weapons is what i hoped to have - but i can't stand Dungeoneering. Dungeoneering has nothing to do with the faults of the game. If anything, Dungeoneering is the best piece of content we've gotten in a long time. Slow xp doesnt mean anything, video games are about fun, not numbers. Seems like you're the type of kid who would rather click on trees while browsing forums. God forbid video games require your constant attention.
