Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
But by that logic, why wouldnt you make ALL skills level 120, because there all obviously going to get updates later! I honestly dont see why dungeoneering would ever need 120, but whatever, unless they made floor 60 or something, but that would just be lazy and i dont see why they couldnt do it with level 99. I'm not really complaining about anything, as it doesnt effect me as im not trying to max out and never will. I'm just questioning the logic in making a skill with 120 when the content only goes up to 70. Except I (and Jagex) already stated why Dungeoneering was the only one to be 120. Scroll up.

Eventually the content will fill up. As it is now, theres no reason for 120. Yes... that's what I said. The point of an MMO is that it can receive constant updates, I don't see what you're complaining about. You wanted Jagex to release a lvl 60 skill, then bring it to 99 with Batch 2, then bring it to 120 later? Nice.

That's a good point. I didn't think of the economic effects of instancing reward dungeons.

It's where each person gets their own "mini-world" if you will, for a specific area. Example: When entering the Dungeons of Daemonheim alone, you only see yourself in your personal dungeon. Everyone else gets their own version.

Are they going to be instanced? If they are one-off rewards I would imagine so, but Jagex seems to use instancing very sparingly (other than the skill itself of course).

Reason for the level caps!

Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
120 skills wouldn't be stupid if the content up to it wasn't stupid. Jagex isn't a bunch of moronic 12-year olds like you seem to believe. Do you have proof for that statement? You're not remotely as clever as you think you are. That's funny coming from you. Butthurt kid coming back for more? Cute ;)

Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
Well, i honestly dont see why dung needed 120. The floors stop at 67 or whatever, and after that its really just binding items + chaotic weapons. Jagex already stated that Dungeoneering is meant to be an end-game skill. Eventually, the content will fill up all levels and it will be the skill that people will keep coming back to level. Before anyone says "OMGZ BUT HOW DO I MAX OUT SUCH AN END-GAME SKILLZ?!?!"

Or you could get a job and stop pretending like Jagex owes you RuneFest. God sake, not this again. I'm: A) Underaged to get a job B ) Taking my GCSEs eliminating free time (revising and whatnot) C) Doing out of school activities leaving me with just a Sunday free. Besides, I'm not as annoyed as I am when I first found that out. OBVIOUSLY when someone finds something out for the first time that would annoy them, but you gradually understand why it was made. Jagex have done this so they can find out their *true* fans, and clearly I'm not a *true* fan because I didn't (or couldn't) go. So what? Being a RuneFest fan won't go on my CV! :P Actually, no. Jagex did this to cover costs, not to have a nice little game to find out who their fans are. Until they rolled RuneFest in to their marketing budget, the 75 dollar ticket was purely to cover costs (profits were going to be donated to charity). Next time read up on something before talking about it. You don't even know what you were being offended about. Pathetic. I would include an obligatory comment about how teenagers don't understand anything, but i'm pretty sure you're a lost cause as you've taken a paranoid schizophrenic view of the whole affair.

They already said that this wasn't Batch 2... 1.5 isn't the same thing as 2. FYI. I'm not sure who you are responding to, but you're comment is meaningless either way. Your premise is essentially "The number 1.5 is not the number 2". Thanks for the insight, buddy. Next time try to inject a little meaning into your post, instead of trying to teach people how to count. "FYI" I was informing Demo that this Dungeoneering update wasn't meant to be Batch 2. He didn't say it was batch 2 :l he said it was 1.5, and you tell him it isn't 2? He never said it was. His comment was "Batch 1.5 I see." He wouldn't have posted that if he wasn't expecting something more substantial (ie Batch 2). You've never heard of literary tone? And just for the sake of it, heres the quote from the Dev Blog. [/hide] Wow.... just wow.... He meant Batch 1.5 as in the update between 1 and 2. I mean come on. Way to make a mountain out of a molehill. Den defined it best: I said batch 1.5 because it isn't substancial enough to be batch 2. That being said, it still brings certain improvements to a skill in dire need of some. So between lauch and batch 2, thi is batch 1.5 :P Sorry if I caused any problems  Acutally, i'm the one who said you were expecting something more substantial. Everyone else was too thick to understand the tone of your writing. You should expect Batch 2 at the end of this year (according to the recent Q&A video on YouTube). Cheers ;)

Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
Isnt that the conversation were having. That Jagex NEEDS to put stuff up to 99 before we can even think about 120's My mistake, i skimmed the OP way too quickly, haha ;) The problem is that those are very few and far between. We need more incentives, not just a couple.
-
Before Jagex increases the level caps to 120 ...
Once Jagex fills all the high level gaps in skills, then we can start having this conversation. Discussing 120 when half of the skills don't have anything significant for 90+ isn't very meaningful. EDIT: Obviously skimmed a bit too quick, I agree with the OP.

I've gotta say, the venue looks really fitting for Runescape. It looks like it can pull off the medieval vibe really well. Great choice by Jagex

Vuvuzelas in runescape ?
Reading the news, huh? Find me the word "vuvuzela" on any of these front pages (or any other legitimate new source). Yahoo: Top Stories MSN: Top Stories CNN: Top Stories Time: Top Stories Not everyone clicks the sports tab and certainly NO ONE will randomly search for a word as obscure as "vuvuzela." Just because someone doesn't care about a sport, doesn't mean they're stupid. Where will it get you in life knowing who won the World Cup in 1966 (or 2010 for that matter)? Oh, it won't get you anywhere. Instead of being so condescending, why don't you help the unenlightened learn? Perhaps it's because you're an arrogant individual who thinks he's better than everyone else. Wake up, you're not. Get over yourself and learn not to be an ass to everyone you talk to. After a 5 second search on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/07/10/uae.vuvuzela.ban/index.html?iref=allsearch Ya... one of the thousand examples I can give you of the news mentioning the World Cup and Vuvuzelas. If you're implying that everyone is equal and no one is more intelligent than anyone else, you're hilariously wrong. People who don't read the news on a regular basis (searching Vuvuzela isn't reading the news) are ignorant and stupid. In the past 3 weeks i've read about 4 or 5 stories mentioning Vuvuzelas on the news.

Vuvuzelas in runescape ?
For all the stupid Americans that are talking about the World Cup not being important, let me just tell you that i'm American and have absolutely no interest in soccer, yet I am fully aware of Vuvuzelas and the final match-ups. It's called reading the news.

Free Runescape 7 Day Trial Membership
Isn't that what the Free part of the game is for? Free game is the game with the free content. Members is the game with the members content. Explain to me how a trial of members is the same as the free game?

One question
One of the features that I like about Runescape is that everything is small and condensed. Not a lot of wasted space on the map, travel times are short, etc.

RuneFest Tickets Sold Out & Venue Location
How is this different than anything in life? Some people are poor, some people are rich, some people are in the middle. It's not Jagex's responsibility to hand out financial help and create an event for all ages and all financial ranges. It's like the Runescape population is just discovering that some things in life are unfair. Juvenile much? Jagex is about equality when they can control it (ie in a video game that they created). When Jagex is making a real-life event they cant change the rules of society and make everything free. The fact that they are refunding it is surprising but not an impossible gesture of goodwill. Simply put, they probably got sponsors to cover costs or they decided to spend the money for RuneFest as part of their marketing budget. They aren't evil, they aren't nice. They are simply a business, and they have to cover their costs and organize an event to the best of their abilities.
