[hide=bigquote] I think you're just bad at Zerg. Or maybe I just get bad Terran opponents. When I play random, I typically have no trouble dealing with Terran as Zerg. Sometimes I just get flat-out outplayed, but that happens with every race for me. The game is really more balanced than most people want to admit. Maybe right now it looks like Terran has the edge, but throughout the beta I noticed a similar pattern. At the beginning, it was Mutalisks that were widely regarded as "unstoppable." The Stalker really hasn't changed much. Photon Cannons and Missile Turrets barely changed at all. What it took was people realizing that Missile Turrets costing 100 instead of 75 is OK, because they do better now, and Photon Cannons still do their job, and Stalkers were better than everyone gave them credit for. Then there was proxy reapers - the mathematically impossible to stop build. Which of course isn't true anymore since people realized it's perfectly okay to skip the first Zealot and rush to Cybernetics Core, then chrono-boost out a Stalker seconds after the Reaper arrives. There was a Planetary Fortress Rush phase too. And a phase where Psionic Storm was useless. And a phase where Thors were too big to do their job (in fact, Blizzard shrank them, but, ironically enough, I've frequently seen Thors being used to block up choke points such as an opposing ramp during an attack, a purpose for which a larger Thor would actually be better). A phase where Hellions were useless. The way people play the game changes - people discover new strategies, which in turn, shift the balance of the metagame. [/hide] Try playing as protoss against a bioball :< Damn that stuff is tough to beat, by the time i've teched to collossi, they're all up in my base, killing my guys :( Still trying to find an effective tactic against the bioball.

Defense of the Ancients, A warcraft 3 custom map. People have already started making failed attempts with the SC2 editor.

Nah it's all about the Roller Coaster tycoon! :D Recently bought roller coaster tycoon 3 and it's pretty cool, could spend ages tweaking and making my own 'coasters. I love the campaign scenarios aswell. Heck, i just love tycoon games! The best tycoon games I've played are Roller Coaster Tycoon 1+2+3(and all expansions) Roailroad tycoon 2 + Sid Meiers Railroads! Theme Hospital <- PRO game. If anyone disagrees I will poop on their eyeballs. I personally hate Theme park, it just seems aimed at 3 year olds. Sure RCT3 is a bit "Kiddy" but it's a lot better :D Can anyone recommend and other good tycoon games? :D

Plucked up the courage to play my first couple of practice 1v1 games as 'toss. I LOVE harassing with an observer scout at blink-stalkers... funfunfun :D played 3, won 2, Lost against a terran player because his cloaked banshees were tearing my probes to shreds :( Great fun though... can't wait to get into my first few league games :D

Honestly... I find getting a dual spec as a DPS pretty useless unless you plan on doing both PVP and PVE at endgame.

+1 Hopefully this will be an improvement over MW1, I can already tell it's an improvement over MW2, just the fact it will have dedicated servers shows this... :D But will probably buy it

Last bought SC2 and it is amazing :D I love every part of it. Currently playing: WoW trying to progress through ICC10/25 (10 man got up to BQL, 25 can't seem to down fester -.-, although I'm in a very casual guild) SC2 - Going through the challenge missions, playing some custom games, having the odd 2v2 with a friend now and then.. just having fun :D CS:S - Got back into CS:S after the source update... Been playing a lot of gungame deatchmatch so i can get a feel for the guns (Was playing a lot of MW2 previously and it screwed my CS:S play up :( ) and I'm doing pretty well IMO. MW2 - Drifting in and out of this tbh, I've lost a lot of interest in it, CS:S just seems so much better in terms of well.. pretty much everything, would love more game modes in CS:S though... I know it's not a very DM/Fragfest oriented game, but playing CS:S on deathmatch servers is a lot of fun. I have battlefield 2 sitting on my game-rack, it's been there for quite some time and the plastic wrapper is still on it.. Is it worth installing it and giving it a game? Is there still a decent community left after BC1+2?

By lag do you mean screen freezes or just normal lag? I get so many screen freezes it's unreal.. although it only started when i downloaded the steam update =/

Thats good news I guess although blizzard really need to sort out battle.net at the moment as it is dead. Of course you log in and see 1 million+ people playing at any single time but where are they? This game has a lot of potential and at current state of release it could die rather quickly. No chatrooms/clan support was a very bad idea, this really needs to implemented soon or there will literally be no such thing as community inside starcraft. Sure blizzard have their official forums for banter, but having it ingame would work out so much better so people can set up custom games with friends and other people a lot easier. Another gripe I have is the popularity system... I have looked through countless "See More..." lists and found some really interesting game types which I would love to see but when I join I'm waiting forever to get a full party. Seems the only games I can play are Red circle TD, Nexus Wars and thats about it... (The others don't really interest me). I really hope they pull their finger out pretty fast or the mapping/modding community will look elsewhere when they realise the current state of the custom maps is "The rich get richer, the poor stay poor". I loved the Campaign, I love the DRM they used (As it is much like Steam) and I love pretty much everything about it.. but the few points that need improving are bringing the games standard down hell of a lot. Also - Not including LAN was a bad idea. Bring back WC3 Battlenet... It was the best thing to ever happen to RTS + mapping/modding communities. EDIT: By the way guys, if you're looking for some funny replays, watch some of the IdrA matches commentated by HDStarcraft and HuskyStarcraft, some of the ragequits this guy does makes me giggle xD

I really want to start playing competitively online but I'm terrified... is there any advice you can give before I go out there and start playing some games? Got quite a bit through the campaign, hopefully should be done with it soon then it's on to online :D

And as I said, matter of opinion, I rarely find endgame boring as a pally the way I play it. Though I'll admit, leveling my warlock is so much more fun than my pally was :3 It's only lvl 66 atm though. warlocks are so sick. ever seen an afflic lock in pve gear in a bg? dot dot dot kill i think pallies are boring because theyre CD based. basically, pop that thing that isnt on CD. ive seen one button macros for ret/prot pallies. and holy pally is just HL spam. Well yeah the dps rotation is all priority based, like Judgements always first but other than that just whatever is off CD. I've heard feral druid dps rotation is fun. To be fair lots of classes are based on CDs.. shamans for example is Lightning bolt, flame shock, lava burst, chain lightning and then spam lighning bolt untill chain lightning or lava burst is off cooldown and refresh flameshock when it goes down... still i prefer it to spamming a macro

Got it at 1am last night from my local supermarket... I would have been on time for the midnight launch but my girlfriend fell over at work and had to go hospital :rolleyes: Only managed to install it, going to start playing soon :D

2 feet... isn't that far. While I agree that it is stupid that if you die while your bullets are in the air, they disappear, (same goes with the knife. MY KNIFE IS IN YOUR BODY, YOU ARE DEAD!) according to you he had plenty of space to knife you. yea, that first part is poor hit detection. and literally, the whole recticule was on his head, and i shot. and he still knifed. i think commando works this way: if they hit melee before you shoot, and theyre in range for the lunge, the game will act as if you were already killed before you shot, which is why in the KC it shows you "not" shooting Wierd on my screen it's always exactly the opposite. I enjoy the odd MLC every now and then (mostly on invasion i think it's called, thats it), and i clearly stab them in the face with the lunge, stabbing animation, and blood spray... and it turns out they started spraying from the hip at me before I'd even hit the melee button, getting a lucky kill. Frustrating. Good. +1 no likes commando users, much less MLC abusers Even if I'm not running with MLC the same [cabbage] still happens :<
