In what class are you writing an evaluation for Half Life 2? o.o Game Design and Architecture :thumbup: I'm doing a Computer Games Programming course.

I have to play through Half Life 2 (I have to complete it) as part of my university course and then write an evaluation of it, so I'll probably be playing that pretty soon, Even though I'm bad and hate playing HL2 cause it never fails to scare the crap out of me. Also got BioShock, I love the atmosphere the game has... So creepy. And I finally got round to installing medieval total war after having the disk on my shelf for the past year and a half so I'll probably give that a bash soon. Redownloaded Torchlight and I'm getting really into it now playing through as a barbarian, I WILL get round to finally completing this game damnit...

Hey Nadril, did the patch fix anything for you? I haven't had a chance to play yet but the steam forums seem to have negative responses. I really wish I would have waited to buy this now..

Doesnt mount + blade: warband have a team-deathmatch multiplayer mode? It's not fantasy IIRC, just medieval stuffs

How do you feel about body modifications? (piercings, tattoos, subdermals and the like, although other procedures such as tongue splitting are included). Love piercings, I only have a few but I'm going to get a lot more. Do you, yourself, have any/plans to acquire some in the foreseeable future? At the moment I have 2 ear piercings (One in each earlobe) stretched to 10mm. And a tongue piercing. I plan to get a nipple piercing for christmas, and in the future I would like a guitar tattoo on my upper arm (My grandad always used to play guitar with me whenever our family would go to visit), an Industrial Ear Piercing, Possibly eyebrow piecing, and possibly lip piercing. Why? I'd always wanted to stretch my ears so I just went for it. My girlfriend hassled me into getting my tongue piercing, The pain was bearable, but being unable to eat properly for a week, SUCKED. Nipple piercing is just cosmetic, I think it looks pretty decent. Guitar tattoo - See above. Again with industrial and eyebrow i think they look pretty cool. How do you feel about the growing pervasiveness of tattoos among western youth? It's your body, do what you want... just don't regret it! Do you think men should get ear piercings? Normal ear piercings look wierd, Plugs look awesome. Anything that isn't a lobe piercing is also awesome.

NO! Don't do it! PC version is plagued with bugs and crap. Waste of £40 :'( At least untill they patch it

Fixed most of the stutter problems. I still get them but not as much. Also, I have a TON of input lag. I move my mouse and it takes about half a second for my mouse to move on the screen. Verticle sync is off, mouse accell is off etc. Tried at lowest and highest resolution with no differences. Bah I'm tempted to give up :<

I was going to get black ops pc but decided on getting ps3, what happend to it on pc? Head over to the steam forums, you'll soon understand... Basically it hasn't been optimised for the PC. The config is all back to front. (Multiple GPU is defaulted to on and multi-core CPU is defaulted to off, even though the game requires 2 cores to run) There's serious memory leaks, CPU hogging, frame skips, stutters, freezing tearing. Unless you have a super-computer you can't even play at 800*600 resolution with all graphic settings turned to minimum without a freeze up every couple of minutes (from my experience). I'm also getting severe mouse lag. Ermm.... the game looks like it's trying to be "too pretty" even on lowest settings. Just waiting on that miracle patch now. Everything apart from the above is absolutely perfect (I've been playing it on my friends xbox 360). But atm, for me, the PC version is totally unplayable. Never had much problem with MW2, but this is just so bad. EDIT: On the plus side... Dedicated servers... wooo

Black ops on pc. o wait.

Not missing a ton at the moment. A ton of people have massive lag and stuttering issues on the PC due to some CPU bottleneck bug. Even people with top end rigs are getting terrible FPS. I've got it to the point where its...almost playable... and its a fun game but the lag is killing me atm. Really hope they fix it soon because it's a pretty gamebreaking bug. Yea I have the same problem. Bloody console ports are a joke, had the same problem with borderlands. Stutters, lockups, lag, I have it all.. fun times... Bought 3 copies yesterday (with my friend), PC (for me), 360 (for her), PS3 (For her brother), so I wasn't too upset that I couldnt play properly on PC yet. Been playing through the campaign on the xbox and it's been pretty epic so far, loving the ammount of vehicles you can try out. Also played a game online before I went to sleep in the early hours of this morning and is it just me or does it feel a lot slower paced compared to previous CoDs (4, mw2)? On the other hand, when the issues for PC finally get fixed, I can't wait to get into the wager matches. Most interested in Gungame and Sharpshooter, and possibly One in the barrel, and sticks and stones, heck I can't wait to play all it properly. EDIT: I did have this kind of problem in MW2 for a while, I was running at a lower resolution and on low settings, then I returned all my graphics back to default and tried again on my native resolution. Then I ran steam in admin mode, verified my game cache and then defragged it and something got it back to normal, without the screen stuttering. Disabled steam ingame and cloud aswell, tried all of this (aswell as the config edits) with no luck so far :<

Why did I choose to buy this on steam... The download wait is killing me QQ

I played the trial version on XBLA and can't wait for it to hit steam :D

I wonder where the best place to go for the PC version will be... Morrisons doesn't stock it, Gamestation and Game will probably have it for RRP, I'm thinking possibly tesco since they always seem to put their PC games on sale for cheap because 'PC is dieing'.

Found a TF2 mod on the PC Servers, then I never found it again... It was pretty fun though :D

At least on pc we will be able to ban hackers on our shiny dedicated servers. ;)
