  1. Ah, I love it.

So Defender, your version of Christianity is the only right one? All the other denominations, including the large ones are wrong? Also, Bible contradictions. If you could explain each of those please.

I think it's time we stop worrying about what's going to happen after this life and just get on with the business of making this life the fullest and most rewarding possible. Also, Defender, your interpretation and views on the Bible might not generally be everyone's. There are many many contradictions in the Bible, what you believe might not be what other Christians believe.
  4. Terrible news, I hope for all your sakes that this gets people thinking about the gun laws.
  5. The martial arts fight between Neo and Morpheus in the Matrix, very well done. Pretty much any fight from Hero, House of Flying Daggers or Crouching Tiger were visually stunning, but I can't remember any particulars. Also, that one at the end of Rocky. "ADRIAAANNNN....ADDDRIIAAAAANNNNN" Haha.
  6. Hide Away - Stevie Ray Vaughn
  7. Would it be a cliche to say the Happy Birthday song? :P
  8. Moved to Music and Movies :) Personally, I would have said the more famous songs were by artists like The Beatles, or other pop artists. I actually had this discussion with a friend a while ago and we came up with the following: Yellow Submarine - The Beatles Dancing Queen - ABBA White Christmas - Bing Crosby Can't Buy Me Love - The Beatles (maybe)
  9. Beautifully put.
  10. Without wanting to suck the romance dry out of it, it's important to remember that decisions made with the "heart" are just made with a different part of the brain. The heart doesn't make decisions.
  11. Casino Royale :uhh:
  12. I don't really race them, but I do cycle a lot on the road quite fast. The most I've done though was 75 miles in just under 3 hours. Pretty knackering. The Tour de France is the ultimate though, those guys have to be the toughest athletes on the planet.
  13. Who was it that said every man secretely wants to see his best friend fall down the stairs, kinda true really, as long as it's not too bad. Haven't done that much sport recently so no really good injuries for a bit.
  14. Tricky one, and it's only April :P Two of my favourites so far have been: Myths of the Near Future by the Klaxons. It's a cracking album, lots of great songs to sing along to or put you in a good mood. Neon Bible by the Arcade Fire. I know these guys are hyped a lot, but I really do think this is a great album with some great songs.
  15. They've announced the servers for the EU pre-order, looks like it'll be Snowbourn for me. :)
  16. Maybe a little bit. I would think the bigger factor is the face that most of the celebs on there are considered "attractive". Which is why you see people posting saying "it says my girlfriend looks like Penelope Cruz! Hot!!". It is simply the fact that the site's stock photos are of attractive people (and politicians) Ssh, it inflates my ego nicely :P
  17. I'd say Noel actually has a more genuine element of comedy to him than Russell Brand, I just love the Russell Brand radio show, the fact that his co-presenter and friend Matt Morgan is insulting him half the time is brilliant, and the way they deal with the callers. Other than that, yeah he probably will grow on you. He did with me.
  18. True enough, but I still enjoyed Happy Feet :P
  19. Serious? All of them? Some are alright (I think).
  20. I've asked this very same question to other religious folk before, with varying answers. The general theme of it is though, despite me living a generally clean* wholesome life, i'm still going to hell. :P *ish
  21. I actually found those middle-class sketches she did quite funny, the rest of them were just annoying really. Dude I just had a look at some of his comedy on youtube. Interesting and strangely compelling. I think the one at the Comedy Store is brilliant. :D
  22. Another one i've been getting into a lot recently is Noel Fielding from the Mighty Boosh. Some of his standup is just so surreal it's brilliant.
  23. Haha, so true.
