  1. From what I can gather, the best course of action would be to do as Barihawk says, don't take any crap, stand up to him, but don't engage with him in a fight just yet unless you have some kind of defence training. If you think you can, utilize your friends, it could save you a fight and scare him from directly going after you again without fear of reprisal. But don't let yourself come across as the weak one being protected, otherwise he'll look to isolate you. Instead, act tough, but surrounded by dangerous friends, somewhat like a mafia boss you wouldn't want to touch.
  2. Sorry, what? I know it was a totalitarian system but the National Socialist Party was very closely linked to facism. In fact the definition of facism which you just gave pretty much sums up life in Nazi Germany. Everyone was supposed to be loyal to the Fuhrer and the state,Joseph Goebbels, a senior Nazi member controlled the media, and anyone who attempted freedom of speech would generally of been rounded up by the Gestapo and sent off to the concentration camps.
  3. Ahhh I used to love saving those penguins in the games room... Which version was that? I barely remember the game, it was the 1991 edition when I was 5. That's a good question, it was on my dad's old laptop, probably about 4 or 5 years ago. I seem to remember some of the graphics seemed pretty nifty at the time. :P
  4. Ahhh I used to love saving those penguins in the games room...
  5. Adam? So YOU hath eaten the fruit Bubsa!?!? In
  6. Refusing to conform with a religion that you don't accept has nothing to do with being a crybaby. Maybe his "mom" was doing what was best for him when he was younger, but he's old enough to make his own mind up now about his religious beliefs. It's obviously more than just not going somewhere because you can't be bothered, it's going somewhere that forces a religion upon you that you don't believe in.
  7. Abortions should be legal if the mother wants one, before 24 weeks, and only if she wants one. It should always only be her choice, it's her baby. Abortion should never be forced upon anyone. I think it's naive for relgious leaders to talk about abortions being illegal on moral grounds. There are times when abortions are necessary. Any mother wants the best for her child, if she knows then she can't provide for it as best as she can then she might not want to bring it into the world.
  8. Write a letter to Jagex, I have the address somewhere if you want it. I can't believe they won't accept that they made a mistake and revert the bans (or unban your daughter's account). It really is appaling and I wouldn't stand for it.
  9. Frankly it's people like your mum that give Christianity and the whole "Bible-bashing" thing a bad name. No priest or religious leader in their right mind would want young people in their sermon who are being forced to be there, and I don't think that any loving God would want young people there who don't want to be there either. I know a lot of you guys have said it's not that long to slog it through, and although I agree, i'm firm on the principle that NO ONE should ever be made to attend a religious gathering against their explicit will. Freedom of religion is one of the basic human rights granted to us all, and by the age of 15 your old enough to have made your mind up about your beliefs. Don't let anyone try and make you believe something you don't want to believe. Although I think it's good when parents take younger children to church to try and bring them up with certain moral values, when it gets to the stage where she's threatening you with grounding you etc. she is in the wrong, not you. My advice, talk to her, make it clear to her that she's offending your religious principles. If that fails, talk to your priest, he should understand.
  10. Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket Split into two distinct halves, the first half was dark and clever, leaving me feeling very haunted at the end. The second half I felt was better, more classic Vietnam war film formula, but towards the end showed the mental stresses and strain put on the soldiers, with decisions between duty and morals. The strictness of boot camp in the first half never really gave any chance for any relief, but the guy who played Joker in the second half was very good, made it more enjoyable to be honest. Four Brothers Better than I expected, the storyline was fairly simple, but intricate, with a few genuine twists that caught me off guard (I might of gotten them if i hadn't been tucking into the juciest steak at the time...*ahem*, anyway). The acting was better than the reviews suggested really. I mean, sure it's not one of the most intricate or cleverly acted films of all time, but i enjoyed it, and i think you can only have so much method acting and dark screenplay.
  11. Argh I forgot Slash! A mighty fine guitarist he is too.
  12. Stairway to Heaven and i'm not going to pretend otherwise.
  13. If you really want to learn an instrument, and want something relatively soft, learn the acoustic/classical guitar. Don't worry about being labelled a poser, do it for yourself.
  14. Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic - The Police, great lyrics :)
  15. Ah what the hell...Anthony Kiedis anyone? :P
  16. German shepard puppies?? Where?? Along with labradors and golden retrievers they're like the cutest puppies EVER!!! :D
  17. My school's policy is no vending machines in the common rooms (just water machines) and the refectory doesn't sell fizzy drinks. Apart from that you can get like these huge bags of Haribo after school :D
  18. My history class wants me to look across the atlantic too =\ (We're just now finishing up world war 1 =\ I don't think we'll get past the Korean war by the end of the year) Avert your eyes! It's (mostly) boring! :P
  19. Realisticly when? Ahh well, i do like the Mini's but i like the Renault Clio 182 Sports as well. Depends on my future job I guess. My dream garage would probably be an Aston Martin DB9, a BMW M5 and a Caterham 7. 8) Oh and I wouldn't mind a Bowler Wildcat for the weeekends either. :D
  20. I've been to post a few pics when my friend gives me some of my dvds back, but he's gone on holiday for a week :?
  21. I wouldn't ever get a piercing, not because I don't like needles (I can bear them) but because it's just not my thing.
  22. Rod Stewart
  23. First half of year 7, i had just gone from a small primary school to a huge secondary all boys grammar, kind of a shock to the system so i kept my head down until i got used to it.
  24. Ouch, they really suck dont they ? Rugby is my killer too, althought I tend to stay out of most of the rough stuff :P not my game at fullback :D. D'oh, you see I'm a back too, and I sometimes play FB. You could say though, in defence, I don't know my limitation. Think: Jonah Lomu running over (literally) Mike Catt in '95 Haha, only a crazy back like you could amass all those injuries :P Forwards FTW  Actually though I did used to play FB for my local club, but the backline were such weak tacklers that I ended up having to bring down nearly ever guy on the other team who ran with it. So I got fed up and bulked myself up a bit to play flanker, it's kind of stuck since then, for my school and club.
  25. I really like physics, and I like certain aspects of biology, mainly stuff about ecology and other species of animals etc. (I really love marine biology but there doesn't seem to be syllabus just for it) but it's mostly the human body from now on to GCSE, and microbiology. I love history as well, modern history (post-1900), and any aspect of American history I find fascinating (years of the tudors being rammed down my throat makes me want to look across the atlantic :P ).
