Would you laugh if Jesus' beard was depicted, even in a cartoon, as a bomb? Or if not you, wouldn't some fundamental Christians be protesting somewhere right now? Of course they would... But it's just a way to make Muslims laugh though, so it's ok to go around depicting people's deities in a manner as they so please right? I'm not a christian, so it wouldn't particularly offend me, but i can respect other people's views. The thing is though, the god i do believe in would laugh along with me, because he would respect humour as much as anything else. But that's just my opinion, and i won't have a problem if somebody else feels differently.

I've heard good things about the Arctic Monkeys live. Apart from that, Pink Floyd and Hendrix are the two that come to mind first.

I think it's a total shame that these "Muslims" are degrading their own religion. I think most people know that nowhere in the Qur'an does it say "kill those who disrespect you" or indeed anything of that kind, instead mainly talking about peace. It's also slightly annoying when people describe them as "Muslim Fundamentalists", since the term fundamentalism implies that there is something somewhere that most people don't take literally but says "kill those who oppose you", obviously there isn't, so they're too extreme even for fundamentalism. Generally they are cowards, hiding behind a religion and using it as an excuse for violence. The number of satirical cartoons printed about Christians and Jews i'm sure is just as high as those about Muslims, if not higher, and yet we don't protest violently. I don't have a problem with the peacful protesting, although i've studied Islam i'm not Muslim myself, so i have no idea just how offensive these cartoons really are. I think though you need to have a laugh and move on really, and realise that they don't represent necessarily how we view Islam, just as a way of making people laugh.

Haha, that's hilarious. I don't know about Doom though, never really been much a fan of the game or that genre. I might end up seeing it though.

On A Clear Day A really enjoyable film, and very true to it's Scottish roots. Wholly believable characters and acting. Some very clever use of camerawork in certain areas. At times though, a little too close to home (i.e. the everyday life), whereas i tend to prefer films that show me the world in a different light. Still, very good none the less and i'm really just nitpicking there.

I'm all for raising awareness at what a bad influence celebrity culture is on young girls, but if she's only doing it to be different... :?

Pretty much exactly what i believe. I don't really believe in an organised religion like Christianity because i see too many flaws in it, but i do believe in some sort of divine spirit, that decided on the laws of the universe.

I think the list is good, but mine would be slightly different. 1. Complete legends, desert treasure, monkey madness and ME Pt.2 2. Visit the barrows and try and get a drop. 3. Complete a lvl 3 clue. 4. Reach the Jad guy at the end of the fight cave. 5. Play a round of cw with your friends. 6. Do a TET event. 7. See the kalphite queen. 8. Pk a piece of rune. 9. Give away an item worth more than 50k to a friend. 10. Stake something at the duel arena.

I think Jagex should give us 1 more extra bank space for every 5 or 10 new items they add, or something like that. I don't know what the ratio of useful items to non-useful items that they add is, but i'm guessing from every new quest there are usually between 5 and 10 new items, and only one we really want to keep. It would also give non-questers some extra bank space for all the over new items they add.

Seen two fantastic films today: Hotel Rwanda A brilliant film and very well acted, but what was most remarkable was what it brought to attention, how the UN neglected Rwanda and how we turned our backs. It really does hammer it home from the perspective of the people living there at the time, and makes you wonder just how we can call ourselves aware and "civilized". Cinderella Man A heartwarming tale, brilliantly acted by Russel Crowe, i thought the guy who played Joey was very good as well. Generally i love boxing films, in all shapes and sizes and this was no exception.

Who's they by the way? The western world has a general policy of using nuclear weapons as political weapons, you can't really point a warhead at a terrorist cell. I know you see all the films about stolen nukes and stuff, but like most people have said, you don't just steal a nuclear warhead. The most they might muster is a the aforementioned dirty bomb. And besides, even that wouldn't herald the end of the world. It'll probably be some sort of virus, or a giant asteroid or something.

From what i've heard it was a roll on roll off ferry, mostly carrying people coming back from...i think it was the Haj pilgrimage? Either way though it's terrible, hopes fading for any survivors, hopefully some will still be found.

Although i don't believe in Christianity or any other organised religion, i do believe in a divine being, and so I am lead to believe in some form of an afterlife. It's hard to explain, but by the sheer virtue of the fact that we as a species are talking about this convinces me that there must be something out there, something beyond this life, something beyond the science, i just don't know what.

Wow, it's unbelievable really. The worst we've ever had is fake fire alarms, and although that's a waste of valuable time for the fire, bomb threats would be hugely extreme.

I filled my sara to get the zammy, i wish i'd chosen zammy first. I'll slowly fill zammy but the pages are more expensive.

I think you're probably right, in this case the game probably was linked to the incident, but it's impossible to generalize that to the rest of the racing game community, but i know you weren't. Besides, Gran Turismo ftw :wink:

There's a clique at my school who spend all their time in the IT labs playing unreal tournament or something, on a special row of computers where it's hard to be seen by the technicians. They speak like that.

Well, i went today, just got back and had a great time! :D I got the hang of it really quickly this time, and sure i fell over a few times but mainly because of one friend who seemed to like pushing me over. And to be honest it was so much fun i couldn't care less. Heck, i even skated hand in hand with the girl i liked :) Thanks for all the help.
