My psychology teacher helped us with this excercise that is very relaxing. Its supposed to help you relieve tension by yourself like some buddist monks can do. 1. get into a comfortable position 2. close your eyes to turn off visual simulus 3. Listen to the sounds around you, it should be fairly quiet. 4. take deep breaths 5.now concentrate on your chest moving up and down for air. 6. press your right palm down against something. And memorize the tension you feel. now stop, and move your hand in a more comfortable position. 7. press your left palm down against something. And memorize the tension you feel. now stop, and move your hand in a more comfortable position. 8. move your right toes up and hold. Memorize the tension. Put your toes down. 9. move your left toes up and hold. Memorize the tension. Put your toes down. 10. Push your stomach in. Memorize the tension. And then stop it. 11. Now push your torso out, bending your spine. Memorize the tension and then return. 12. Right shoulder up. Then memorize the tension, then put it down. 13. Left shoulder up. Then memorize the tension, then put it down. 14. eyebrows up. Then memorize the tension, then put it back. 15. squint your eyes now. Then memorize the tension, then put it back. 16. open your eyes and get up and stretch your arms out.
