November 13th: Guaranteed Content Poll - Graphics
tuttle43 replied to Runeman231's topic in General Discussion
To anyone who is voting TzHarr, I really hope you reconsider. You say that TzHarr are old fashioned looking, but they are the most recent addition to the game on that list. The elves deserve the graphical update more than TzHarr. For anyone who has never seen an elf in game, let me introduce you to them. And here are the TzHaar for comparison. The elves could really use a clothing and hair update. Their clothing really needs some kind of accents or flair, rather than the flat body fitting clothing. The hair should be blond and long, projecting out from under their head wear. -
Assist System: Extracting Skills - Stay or Go?
tuttle43 replied to Locutus_Of_Borg's topic in General Discussion
I agree, being able to assist with extracting skills just wastes the time of two people. Like it's been said before, the person being assisted can be somewhere else being productive while the person with proper level can gather the materials. -
That sounds like it was a bug, so you're just upset you can't break a rule anymore.
-
Dizzle, you have no right to rant about this topic. I don't know who in their right mind would want to take advantage of your levels anyway. This is a great update and it is completely voluntary. If a high level player doesn't want to let someone use their 99 crafting, then they don't have to. /thread

I love the new update, but I'm a little disappointed. I was under the impression that money could be paid to the player providing the service. I still think it's a great update, it just could have been done differently.

In the KB article for the new Assist System you will find an example of the new options when you click on another player. For some reason the option to "report abuse" is available. I'm wondering if this is a hint that Jagex was talking about in the November BTS or just a simple mistake. Feel free to speculate and discuss.

It would be nice if people posted screen caps instead of just listing what they wear. Protip: Push the PrtSc button and go to MS paint, paste image and crop.

I couldn't agree more, I miss the days of DT, MM, ME2. I want to go on a quest that isn't an errand like Animal Magnetism or One Small Favour, I want to go on a quest where I learn about the history of RuneScape and the battles, treaties, and breakthroughs that took place long ago. I would love more quests that reference times like the Third Age and for quest story lines to be finished.

RuneScape on Miniclip, Jagex's worst decision ever?
tuttle43 replied to JJGM's topic in General Discussion
I heard about RuneScape from a friend back in high school, before RS was advertised on Mini Clip. -
My favourite city is Nardah. It has a water supply, cooking range, bank, and most importantly the shrine that restores prayer and boosts max HP. It's where I go to restock and heal while killing dusties. Since it's fairly deserted it's a very good place to get away from the masses.
-
My favorite skill is runecrafting. It makes good money and I find using the abyss unpredictable and exciting. It also gives me the opportunity to use ice spells on the pitiful rc pkers

whats the NO.1 feature/update would YOU want to be on RS?
tuttle43 replied to mr_horse72's topic in Questionnaires
I want Jagex to release the blood and soul altars, maybe even a runecrafting guild. -
What do you do/Where do you go, whilst high alching?
tuttle43 replied to ThoseTheBrokes's topic in Questionnaires
I alch next to the astral rune altar since I always use the Lunar spell book and I don't want to go to far since I'll be switching back anyway. Every time I alch there I never run into anyone, it's very relaxing. -
This is what I wear when I'm killing dust devils to get 99 attack.

I don't understand why everyone is so pessimistic. The people who believe summoning will be released have far more evidence than the people saying "get over it, summoning will never happen". If you were on a jury for the trial of a murderer, would you say he's guilty because of the overwhelming evidence or say he's not guilty just because he said, "I didn't do that". Until Jagex makes an official statement stating that summoning will never be released I think the topic should be open for discussion, sans "it will never happen" comments.
-
This is the first time I have ever seen this evidence. This combined with summoning being on the "do not suggest" list in the RSOF, I don't see how Jagex can't release it. This might be the big update on the horizon they hinted at in the November Behind the Scenes, seeing that most of the items from that article have already been introduced.
-
I would have to say that the least updated skill is mining. I definitely agree with those who say the guild needs a massive face lift and those who want a dragon pick axe. Runecrafting gets very few updates so i would put it on the list as well. The ZMI altar was a nice addition, but I still want to be able to craft bloods and souls. Woodcutting has had a few updates, but it still needs more. I personally use a dragon axe and I think it was a great addition. I have yet to use the lumberjack clothing so I have no opinion on it. I think what woodcutting really needs is a guild, I'm thinking McGrubbor's Woods would be a great place to put it. The place is only used in one part of one quest, hardly a good use of space. The woods seem like a perfect place to put the guild, there's a building that can be converted into a bank/entrance and the area is already fenced in. The only thing that it would need would be the addition of rare trees. Magic has had many updates over the years, but there is one thing that magic lacks. That is a skill to make mage armor. If Jagex were to release a tailor type skill to make mage armor that could allow for so many new kinds of magic robes with different effects, degrees of protection and offense. I think the 30 damage cap needs to be removed as well. I don't really think firemaking needs an update, I have always thought of it as a support skill that fulfilled its role already. If there is to be an update to firemaking it should be that ability to light arrows of different metals. It could start at level 10 for bronze and go up to 85 for rune (possibly level 90 for dragon). These are my thoughts on skills that need updating.

RS Word Censors - Lighten up or tighten down?
tuttle43 replied to unorclan's topic in General Discussion
I think Jagex should lighten up on the word filters so it stops censoring arbitrary words. I'm all for blocking out offensive slurs, insults, and curses, but there are some innocent words that should not be censored. -

Quality over quantity, that's all I'm going to say. -
Effects Of The Coming Update "Great Exchange" On The Economy
tuttle43 replied to klankaos's topic in General Discussion
This to me seems like a very logical scenario. I myself make nature runes for my income and usually only sell when I have over 10k in my bank. If I go to the exchange and sell 20k nature runes for 315ea, there is a good chance that someone will buy them because of the convenience of getting such a large amount. People will pay extra for convenience at the GE, just like they do in real life. -
Hearing things like this make me so thankful that I have a debit card to pay for membership. I'm sorry you're having a hard time getting membership.

I don't think the first clue was the .gif image, I really think it was the line "something big on the horizon". To me this hints at a new continent or maybe a seafaring skill. As far as mechscape goes, I really don't think they would announce it as a RuneScape update for the new year.
-
After reading this I hope you're right. :P
-
When they said "something on the horizon" I interpreted that to mean they would introduce a seafaring skill or a new continent to the east.
