ok.. have you gotten the latest drivers for the motherboard? made sure all the jumpers are set right? (or bios settings) other then that it could be a HEAT ISSUE!!!!!!! knoppix might be good enough to run slow.. but it makes sense some cpu's slow themselves when they get too hot (to prevent burnups) make sure your cpu has a heatsink and is making good contact (did you use the gel that is supposed to conduct to the heatsink

there is a build of firefox (sorry can't find the website) that is uber fast on the max so i might recomend it

What does that do? I actually did download the album p2p, but my dad owns the cd. He just took it with him out of town and I wanted it here and now so I figured it was "okay" since we did own it. auto run.. it automatically runs the CD that you insert.. (hence the name :) ) but it runs and sometimes with newer cd's and dvd's runs and INSTALLS STUFF YOU DO NOT EVER WANT (AKA Sony's ROOTKIT)
