I agree that the dumbest of jocks who get drunk every weekend and don't even go to college won't get very far in life. However you've average "most popular guy in school" or the track team captain with the 3.0 GPA and the hot girlfriend will statistically (sorry guys) lead a better, more enjoyable life compared to the average computer programmer. You guys need to realize something: the true definition of happiness. Its something you need to find for yourself but I will tell you it doesn't involve gaming. Think of your happiest moment in the past few years. Was it the time you went paintballing with your friends or the day you played RS for 12 hours mining coal until you got to level 50? During the summer I will go to my friends house down the road to ask if he wants to go swimming and I find him playing Comand and Conquer at 2pm in his house with the A/C on 68 degrees when its 80 and sunny outside for the first time in weeks. Most animals take the easy way out; Eagles for example have only cones for good day time, whereas owls have practically all rods. Humans have both, and unlike the few other animals that have a significant number of both, humans have a massive number of both, rivaling the number of cones of an eagle AND the number of rods of an owlÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ã

They appear about every other winter down here in Wisconsin, which isn't exactly artic. Here they take up about 1/4 of the sky and are fairly bright, you easily walk outside with no need of a flashlight or anything since they light up the ground about 10x as good as a full moon. Pictures really once give you glimpse of it, realize that they aren't just still pictures in the sky like a moon or the stars. They seem alive, glowing and dimming, ebbing, moving side to side, slowly changing colors... really amazing. Only problem is they appear on the coldest nights down here so you can't stand outside for more then a few minutes until you're freezing :/

Lol, wow that's amusing. I made new accounts and did the black night quest to get the 2.5k in order to get the 40k for the addy plate. Literally the day I got 39k I was walking to sell my mith plate and was mere minites away from full addy and having the best armor and weapons in the game when I had to log off for an update. Rune was introduced! :x I was pissed but whent to Champ's guild anyway and found 300 people next to the Rune seller, all were waiting for the shop to respawn anything rune. I bought an addy plate for 29k right there and was pleased with my full addy but over the next days more and more shiny rune appeared. Some guy traded his rune chain for my addy plate to this day I don't know why, thought it was a scam at the time. Then I bought a rune med and slowly aquired a rune long and legs by robbing the lava maze's steel plates and earth staff respawn :D The day I bought the rune long 50/50 was one of the happiest of my RS life. Upgraded from my year old addy battle which was like 30/32. Had that one for a year until I forked over the 650k for the rune battle Good times.

Thats what really irritated me. Even when presented with hardcore facts he never said "oh, well you guys got me; i was joking!" He just ignored the recent news and kept lying to everyone. I'm pretty sure I snapped and ruined any possibility of ever becoming a mod in the same thread that Corrupted got banned in. SW finally posted a picture of "his" lion cub Simba which he said "I wish I could show you him and maybe he would eat a few of you like trapical" Lol, I was touched that I was on his death list. Anyway, after an hour or so (during which the entire OT board was no doubt searching online to find where he got the picture from) someone posted something like yahoo images page 27 and it was there. I assume he didn't use google and used page 27 to hide it us but he underestimated our resources :wink: Anyway the evidence is right there and instead of apologizing he says "Pictures on the internet have to get there from someone. Jeez, idiots!" I point out the picture was linked to a zoo in NewZealand and he totally ignores my post and goes on saying how all of us are jelous and how he's now engaged to the girl from page 4 of "hot chicks" on yahoo :/ Thats about where Corrupted stepped in and when the smoke cleared RW pretty much stopped posting and Corrupted was banned. i like your list, finally somebody who has mentioned lightning! i dont know who topaz jewel is, but im sure that he/she is a good person. For the best moderator I'd have to put Phil. He consistently makes good choices, and for some reason i find his writing interesting. Dont know who corrupted soul is, so ill just agre with that too. TopazJewel's female. Really plesent to talk to and her posts never contained a bad remark also her femine side made for a refresing read after countless posts from guys. CorruptedSoul was the most successful flammer I ever saw. Really stood up for what he belived in and is posts (nearly all were "flames") really got to the point and ridiculed the person's post while not solely making fun of the person like most flammers do. He was given four seperate warnings of bannination and each one cooled him down for a while, his posts would start "well I'm on warning so I'll go easy on you..." but in the end SW_Raichu (a poster who lied about his RL a lot and honestly wasn't liked on the boards) got on Corruped's nerve so bad he simply stated that he didn't care if they would ban him and said what we were all thinking, he completly ripped this guy apart. It was beutiful. Then he was banned and we never heard of again :(

To me Chinese sounds like "chin chow daw how poh" whereas japanesse is like "ohshuduko konichiwah hashikudo" Seems much more elegant and flows better then the short syllabled Chinese. As for other languages I speak fluent Spanish and decent Polish and am now learning Russian. The latter two are really hard to learn at first because nothing is phonetically written. Sz is pronounced sh, w is pronounced v, etc. To top it off it seems there are so many constantans and few vowels. I can't write/read it that well but its easy enough to speak, just don't expects any cognates .There are no words that sound the same in English and Polish, unlike Spanish/German were you can sometimes guess what words mean (bonita=beautiful)

Hey, a non RS related question for you guys. Do you know any online sites that let you upload pictures into albums that you and your friends can view at a later time? My brother, studying abroad in New Zealand, sent me this email: "Me and some of my fellow hiking buddies were thinking that there's gotta be a easy way to host pics that everybody takes on these weekends were we all go hiking. I mean, you could always ask people to send you pictures, but that's kind of a pain in the butt, especially when you don't see everyone or know their emails. Anyways, I know there are sites like Webshots or Snapfish, but those only let you see low-resolution versions of the pictures. I made an account with Imageshack, but I can see that becoming quite a mess because it doesn't look like you can create albums or anything like that. Any ideas? Of course, I guess we could go with Webshots and then have everyone list their email address under the name of their photos. Yes there is a difference between Pepsi and Coke, its actually quite distinct if you have 1 in each hand. I prefer Coke to Pepsi in every category except cherry, Wild Cherry Pepsi is amazing. As for EVERYONE suddenly hating soda and drinking water :roll:, way to be a sheep and follow the masses. Ever since I was three I drank juice for breakfast, soda with sandwitches or at parties, and water for everything else. I was amazed at people drinking 4 cans of soda a day, everyday. I mean drinking mountain dew at 7am on an empty stomach? Disgusting. At school lunches in elementary school people would always ask me why I didn't have a soda in my sack lunch :?. Enter 2004, bottled water sells like hot cakes as soda sales plunge in the States. Half the people I know drink only bottled water. Thats like 4 bucks a day for your entire life paying for the most abundant substance on the planet. Who's paying the big corperations now? Now at lunch when I occasionally grab a soda my entire lunch table looks at me like I just killed a puppy "You bought SODA!??! Do you have any idea how bad that is for you?!" :roll: Also funny fact, studies show those who drank a normal soda with their meal gained less weight then those who drank water or a diet soda. Reason: soda has sugar wich lowers your apetitie, therefore you eat less after drinking half a can, whereas diet soda does nothing to you and you keep eating. ^_^ And how can anyone give up soda? Good point, I mean what are the other options really? Much of the Middle East has clearics that preach radical views, these people won't stop until the entire Western World converts to Islam :/ You can't just go in there and kill them all since Islam is the world's 2nd biggest religion, if you kill 10 million radical islams then 500 million Muslims who were quite happy with the West would soon wan't vengence against the slayer of 10 million of there people. What do you do then, kill those 500 million?! The only other options are sucumb to them and covert to Islam or somehow win them over peacefully. Sadly but truthfully its probably easier to kill them all then to shake hands with Bin Laden but as mentioned above you simly can't use violence to that extent. As much as you hate Bush and the war, you have to admit that in a decade with a free Iraq (allied with the West but still a major Islamic country) things should be much easier to deal with.

I also think the Muslims are going way overboard here but then again I certainly wouldn't give my life to defend those embassies, France, Norway, etc reprinting the pictures was simpy, stupid and irrisponsible. Thankfully the Americans were smart enouph to exersise some caution on the issue, funny though since they usually "enforce democracy and freedoms".

This angered Muslims around the world since it mocks them and gave the impression that they are a violent religion. In retaliation they boycotted Danish goods and started yelling Ji-had in the streets. To show support for free speech, France, Norway, Spain, and a few other countries printed the images as well; now Muslims in Syria burned down the embassies of Denmark and Norway and continue rioting as we speak. My point is, does anyone else find it odd they're rioting in protest of a cartoon that "portrayed their religion as a violent one"
