  1. [qfc]15-16-310-65233095[/qfc] L Translation: Gems aren't the SOF promo any more, so we're removing them. Sorry if we [bleep]ed everyone over, we made $$$. -IVP
  2. Can I get a link to the most recent top 15 update post?
  3. Very old suggestion that's been here since the GE was introduced. I think it's as simple as taxing the end sale based on how much it was. Less than 10k gp then no tax, 10k-100k is 1%, 100k to 1m is 2%, 1m to 10m is 3%, 10m to 100m is 4%, 100m to 1b is 5%, 1b+ is 6%. Large sales would be encouraged to be bartered while small sales will use the GE for the convenience. Speculative trading is discouraged since the margins are cut to shreds. The only reason we have the GE in the first place is because of removal of free trade. Now it's just being abused lock the stock market in the real world to profit on day trading without ever helping the economy itself. Jagex needed a GE tax for the longest time, and given the convenience of the GE people would have paid it even from the beginning (well, if not for the tiny fact that you're forced to use it due to free trade restrictions). This wouldn't work at all, because it would be inefficient to spend the time to find someone selling large amounts of an item rather than just pay the GE fee.
  4. -Chaos giants no longer count as fire giants for Slayer tasks. So do they have a point now even? -The Smuggler inside Daemonheim dungeons will no longer spawn on top of Dungeoneering keys. About damn time -The enhanced yaktwee stick once again gives bonus Hunter XP. Hooray
  5. No they won't you only have to reset one combat skill at a time, so we'll just see people training at high level areas using bronze weapons, or using drygores but barely hitting, or wearing bronze while praying SS and using vamp aura/scrim.
  6. Of course jagex raised the prices on lamps from BOL >.> Making me able to afford one less than I should be able to.
  7. I'm more angry that you think choosed is a word.
  8. Not catching them would be best.
  9. That was also at a time when RuneScape was about as graphically demanding as Windows Paint. Graphics are client-side
  10. It's sad how little Jagex employees know about the game's own content. These tasks either require using the reward from the minigame or directly reference already having completed them before the release of the task set, none of them require replaying the minigame. Karajama Set: The Power of Lava - Equip a TzHaar fire cape while standing within TzHaar City Varrock Set: It Belongs in a Museum - Speak to Haig Halen after obtaining at least 50 Kudos With a Ten-foot Pole - Get a full complement of Rats on your Rat pole Faster, [kitty]cat! Kill! Kill! - Get a Cat training medal from Gertrude Kudos on the Kudos! - Speak to Orlando Smith when you have achieved 153 kudos. Fremennik Set: Limber Lumber Jumper - Complete the high-level section of the Barbarian Agility course while wearing an agile top Ardougne Set: A Cat is For Life... - Talk to a civilian in West Ardougne about selling a cat. Living on a Prayer - Use the Air Guitar emote near the musician southeast of the monastery south of Ardougne Morytania Set: Detarnation - Kill Tarn Razorlor (or visit his lair if he's already dead). Shade-Shattering Ka-Bloom - Cast Bloom using a Flail of Ivandis upgraded with at least 200 burnt vyre corpses. Better Than Cursing The Darkness - Burn a Haunted Woods Torch while wearing the fire ring. Thoroughly A-Ghast - Summon a ghast familiar in Morytania. Desert Set: Nipped in the Bug - Use a Dreadnip on the Kalphite Queen. Sun Shade - Plant the Dominion marker in the desert, with all its achievements complete, including killing Sunfreet.
  11. I don;t know which is worse: 87 div, having to do 60 floors so I can reset w/o losing prestige, having to replay all the sagas, or hoping to find a frost dragon on a solo floor
  12. vBulletin uses md5(md5($password).$salt) which really only defeats rainbow tables, a small botnet could make billions of crack attempts a second.
  13. Why? They clearly stated it would be at least 4 weeks until that happens.
  14. So the loyalty store and SGS are disabled for days at a time..and they couldn't update it then? That's poor planning and design.
  15. Funny how even after a week's delay they fail to properly roll out the new store.
  16. You must be joking? Tectonic and Seismic are completely unreachable for the vast majority of players. It makes perfect sense that players with a t80 weapon casting t95 spells were doing more damage than t90 melee weapons. All this did was make magic unusable for high level anything. For ~230m you can get one t90 bow, or a mainhand drygore and two offhand drygores, or you could be barely 25% of the way to the offhand t90 magic gear. t90 magic gear will only go up in cost now as magic will be useless at vorago for anyone who previously used t80 magic weapons to kill him.
  17. That article says they are laying off customer support people because they are outsourcing.
  18. Slaying pre-eoc using magic in melee armor will do that to ya.
  19. 9 months for a 5 second fix, pretty much sums up everything about Jagex.
  20. Assuming 4 hours to collect 3k tears, that is over 15 years worth of time spent collecting tears for just Sara.
  21. thats true First tracked since october 27 2007 200m dg -> 180m dg 200m range -> 180m range 200m cook -> 180m cook 150m farming -> 135m farming (lol) 111m constitution -> 100m constitution meh, shouldn't take that long to get all those ranks and xp back 10% reduction in EXP then, don't think I've seen that done before.
