  1. I felt the same way. So I made a list for my own personal use. It omits certain "baby" potions that just aren't worth making. (Disregard the colours, they indicate what I had at the time.) Unfortunately, without pricing data for seconds and everything else, such a list doesn't turn out to be as helpful as one would like. If Tip.It providing the really detailed information which I mentioned, it might affect the market values - even worse than than they already are, lol. So, I'm afraid that those of us who really want to get into it will have to continue to do our own calculations. :) That's my opinion, anyway.
  2. combined the banking for 44 and 45, you were right and I didn't like the way I wrote it the first time, lol. Removed the "after the quest" bit on the strange key also. Credited you. As always, thanks for your help!
  3. Looks to me that this has been addressed adequately. However, I added the info to the "Suggested Skills" at the top of the page, just to emphasize. Thanks to everyone who told us specifically what their level was and what they were able to do, that really helped to confirm this.
  4. Yeah my understanding was that you just need to make your weight and thermometer be equal. But you can do it such that the thermometer AND the statue add up to your weight, so you don't have to drop anything. So you'd put weights on the statue if you outweigh the thermometer, or carry weights yourself if you weigh less than the thermometer. I think the second condition isn't really supposed to happen, but meh. I edited the quest guide and credited you all. thanks.
  5. It should say instead that it is a prerequisite for the Evil Dave portion of Recipe For Disaster Ouch. Thanks for letting us know. That information is automatically generated by a fairly new program. Ironically, the quest calculator is working fine with the prerequisite quests. I recently tinkered with the data used by both, so it's likely that my "fixing" one accidentally broke the other. :ohnoes: We'll try to get this fixed but it may take a while.
  6. Due to lack of additional data, and the age of this quest, I'm going to lock this thread. If this happens to someone else, please let us know. Thanks anyway, Aurhora, for bringing it to our attention.
  7. Your changes have been confirmed in game and the guide has been updated. Thanks Aurhora!
  8. As I'm sure you know by now, the link meili posted to Tip.It Runescape Classic Help is the place to go. As for plans, we are waiting to see what Jagex intends to do with RSC. Given that it may change, it didn't seem appropriate to invest a lot of time in updating information that may be clobbered by Jagex. For those of you who are not "old hands" at RSC, I recommend these pages specifically: The Certificates page explains where you can "note" specific types of items, since this is done by individual NPCs rather than at the bank. (Additional fishing certers not listed are 1 more at Catherby, 2 at fishing guild and 1 at Brimhaven.) I recommend to you the Maps and Info (locations) page, which serves as an atlas and directory. It links to city maps, mining maps, dungeon maps, and some guild information. The shops page lists every shop and its sell/buy prices (all on one page, wow!) The Items page shows stat information for weapons and armour, data for other items, and links to relevant guides. The monster database may be reconstituted at some point, but right now I can make no promises. The internet wayback machine has the old bestiary info, but we felt it would be inconsiderate to publicly post a link to them, at the risk of weighing down their servers. We asked that people not send us corrections for the RSC site, because we would probably be flooded (lol). However, I will check with Crew to see what sorts of things we might want you to tell us about it. Just getting broken links fixed so that the site is navigable was our main concern up front, and updating it remains in question for the future. Thanks meili and Darth for posting links to help folks out. <3:
  9. To Sk8er700, Napalm_Death, redeyed6, viralaether, carl0dublin, Thammaron and anyone else interested in Sk8er700's work on a proposed IE microhelper The moderators felt it was best to move these screenshots and discussion to the Website Discussion forum. The topic is User-developed IE microhelper We have asked sk8er700 in the past for his code (back in February 2009), and as soon as he provides some we can state whether or not Tip.It will be involved. Thanks everyone for your interest.
  10. Thanks to those who have helped so far, it's great! I went ahead and edited up a list of what's still needed, in case that helps. It's posted at the end of the top post.
  11. Within the next 6 hours or so, RSC page versions with repaired links will be uploaded. (Unfortunately the RSC monster db will not be available at this time.)
  12. If you've read the latest patch notes, you'll know that Jagex has made changes to keys in the game. Based on history, we expect that they have changed examines. Maybe. The problem is finding out which ones, as there are lots of them! :P We have two item database categories for keys, to get a quick list. There are 41 regular keys and 87 quest keys. Quest keys are always the hardest to get, so if you have any of those, please check the examine against the one in our database. If we don't match what you see in game, let us know the new info! We will be sure to credit you. Thanks to anyone who can help out! - - - We HAVE updated information for the following: [hide] A key -Waterfall- A key to a chest A small key Ancestral key Battered key Black key black Black key brown Black key crimson Black key purple Black key red Bone key -Shilo- Bone key -Necrovarus- Brass key (no change) Bronze key -HAM- Bronze key black Bronze key brown Bronze key crimson Bronze key purple Bronze key red Cavern key (Fenkenstrain) Cell door key Chest key -Digsite- Chest key -Pirate's Treasure- Columbarium key (Seergaze) Crystal key (no change) Crystal-mine key Display cabinet key Door key -Witch's House- Dusty key Enchanted key Frozen key (Frem Trials) Glough's key Goblin kitchen key -Observatory- (formerly Key -Observatory-!) 13. ^ should get together with silver_wits, according to wits' signature quote < is loving the pikachu invasion (o^-^o) V will get a poketreat for saying something nice about pikachu <3:
  14. ^ is a pikachu < is a pikachu v is a pikachu
  15. I also would like to see some additional xp and level information in our calculators and planners. We've just gotten a new crewbie who is focusing exclusively on calcs and planners right now, so after he gets done with some projects hopefully we can ask him about this!
  16. A pic showing one in your pack and one roaming your menagerie would be helpful. I haven't even raised all 3 godbirds yet. :P [edit: a crewbie has agreed to confirm this, should take a few days or a week due to school]
  17. Okay I searched and found your other topic http://forum.tip.it/topic/248257-within-the-light-temple-of-light-suggestion/page__fromsearch__1 ... and I see that a crewbie responded and made your change and accidentally forgot. I edited the quest guide to credit you.
  18. I'm going to make an exhaustive reply here. It's not personal, it's just to let you (and others who have asked) know that the crew thoughtfully considers calculators for new activities - and then reconsiders them over and over again, lol. Distractions addressed here are the ones Jagex lists on their website: penguins, shooting star, circus, evil tree, and phoenix. PENGUINS Obviously we couldn't try to predict which penguins are worth 2 or 1, nor the polar bear. The calculator could allow the player to enter the points they will be trading, and their RSN. Then we could pull their high scores skill stats, and show the xp (or gp) that they would get from turning in all of their points. That is: The equations, which are quite simple, would be: xp = PenguinPoints X SkillLevel X 25 or gp = PenguinPoints X 6500 We CAN put the above two equations in a calculator. The sole benefit would be to see xp for EACH skill rather than calculating them one at a time for yourself. Please post below if you think this would be useful. ************************************************************************** SHOOTING STAR Shooting Star is a lot more complicated: Star Mining Size Level XP Per Stardust* 9 90 210 8 80 145 7 70 114 6 60 71 5 50 47 4 40 32 3 30 29 2 20 25 1 10 14 *If you are the first one to find a crashed star, you will be rewarded with extra Mining experience (Level x 75). I don't see a way to know how much you got at each level, unless you are meticulously keeping track. It would be far easier to just record your start and stop xp. Shooting star rewards are even weirder, we only have data for exchanging the full 200 stardust: Working out a formula for the rewards listed above ... well, it would be nice if Jagex publishes one. Right now we have a hard time just getting herblore boost data, and that's much simpler than this, lol. I just don't see a way to do stars reliably nor helpfully. ************************************************************************** CIRCUS From extensive experimentation, done by a wonderful TIF user over nearly a YEAR, the conclusion is that Jagex has made the XP rewards too convoluted to even consider doing any type of calculator. Mattie9999's AOW Ultimate Circus Points Guide explains that if you want experience, it has been established that doing 1 of every level trick gets you the most exp. Mattie and friends spent a *year* collecting data, primarily for emotes. Another group spent time collecting xp data for each trick at different skill levels. They found that xp per trick level is the same for everyone ... UNTIL you get up to your skill level (every 10 levels). When you do tricks above your level, the xp is reduced to the amount for 4 levels below your level. Here are some images showing the data, at various skill levels: Additionally, mattie9999's AOW Ultimate Circus Points Guide explains that additional xp can be gained from doing "combo" tricks and emotes ... The variations go on and on. Unless Jagex publishes a formula, a calculator for circus is simply out of the question. Sorry. ************************************************************************** EVIL TREE For the evil tree, the only thing you *might* be sure of (assuming you get there in time and have enough kindling) is setting eight fires. The rest - unpredictable. Tree Farm XP WC XP WC XP FM XP (sapling)(roots)(tree) (fires) Regular 20 3 15.1 200 Oak 45 6.5 32.4 300 Willow 66 9.1 45.7 450 Maple 121 11 56 675 Yew 172.5 13 64.4 1012 Magic 311 14.1 71 1517.5 Elder 687 15.5 85 2,000 ************************************************************************** PHOENIX The Phoenix is listed as distraction, but it's really more of a "daily": * 1000 Crafting * 7500 Firemaking * 3000 Fletching * 500 Slayer Pretty fixed - no need for calculator that I can see.
  19. As far as we know (and especially because jagex says so), you need to complete regicide before using it. I guess we'd need a pic showing your quest list as red or yellow ... I don't know how we'd prove you went on the ship. :P
  20. Thanks for all of the info, and for the screenshots. We've made the relevant changes and credited you (as well as SportGuy for showing the still name when highlighted.)
  21. You are absolutely right, this has been updated and credited. I don't know if the City Hall (or whatever it is) counts towards the quest, but if someone actually uses it during the quest that would be great. As far as we know only 2 of the locations need to be poisoned, but checking that would be worth while also. Feel free to make a new topic if someone checks these during the quest.
  22. I know you are correct cos I tried it myself after the quest. And yeah, impossible to get the nuts either. Updated and credited, thanks!
  23. topic has expired, closing
  24. actually, just a minimap of each would be great so people can find him in each case. If someone wanted to do that. /me looks hopeful
