After about 2 months off, I have been back to work for 2 days now. I haven't yet done much of anything. At least, nothing at all difficult. I've spent most of the time standing around and talking to a few of my fellow returnees, including one who recently got full time.
  2. I have to say, last night's win surprised me. I know the Sharks have been struggling, but still. Also, I wonder if they are giving any extra thought to keeping Reimer in the NHL after yet another strong game. They said they want to give the starts to the goalie who is getting wins, and that goalie is Reimer.
  3. And Canada takes silver again... We had it won until we sat back in the third.
  4. Although it only helps what I assume is a minority of the F2P population, I agree. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to make the change and it doesn't really change anything in F2P gameplay.

I spent last night watching movies with my cousin while most people in the house were playing Apples to Apples and Balderdash. Overall, I think I made the right choice. I left their house shortly after midnight and watched another movie before I could get to sleep.
  6. The Mummy and its sequels- I love the first two, but the third one didn't hold my attention as well. I'll give it another shot when my mind is less... distracted.

My family has hit a Christmas dinner low. It is officially a "Fend-for-yourself" night. Needless to say, I have had nothing to eat yet. We also discovered that my sister's new bed won't fit up the stairs to her bedroom in the new house. In other words, 2 months of planning just blew up in our face. If that's not bad enough, I had to spend the rest of the day after Christmas morning (which occured at about 2pm) moving junk from the old place to the new place. On the plus side, though, I got my own tv back so I no longer have to walk across the room to turn it on/off, change the volume, etc.
  8. Versteeg has played well at center in the past, although I can't remember where I heard it. And the Leafs need something to change. Maybe having him at center will work, maybe it won't. I think it is a legitimate option to, at the very least, look into. I don't really understand the whole waffle thing, myself. I think it is ridiculously stupid to waste the waffles, though, despite the fact I don't really like them.
  9. I agree on both points. If they keep those two and Kadri starts scoring, they will have a much better team than what they will get for either one right now. But if you had to trade one, I would say Kadri. Schenn is (overall) very good in his own end, which has historically been a problem for the Leafs. And Kessel would be a lot better with a solid center. I still say look into the Versteeg at center idea.
  10. Ramona and Beezus- It was much better than I thought it would be, though I admit I didn't expect much. Pretty good, though. Gunless- I had higher hopes for this one and it delivered. It was better than I expected. Scott Pilgrim vs the World- I finally saw it, and it was probably the best one I've seen lately.

Today I finally start my Christmas shopping. I would have started a few weeks ago, but my uncle (married my mother's sister) had heart surgery and appointments that my mom had to be there for (which I still don't really understand, but whatever). Then we were trapped in our house for 3 days because the snow was relentless. They even cancelled city buses which has happened now twice in all the time my sister has lived here (since 2002, I think). And then my other uncle had appointments and a surgery of his own (had a finger removed). That has been my life the past month or so. I have left my own property twice since it started, and that was to go out for a birthday supper and then this past Saturday to get something to eat again, because my cousin brought some movies to watch.
  12. Sad face :( Anyone else read damien cox? http://thestar.blogs.com/thespin I somewhat agree with his points, but I still think it was good for Schenn to play at the NHL level so early. With any luck, he won't want too much. He's a great defender, though. Phaneuf finally scores, and Versteeg gets a weird one. I still don't see how the puck shot out from under Khabibulin that fast.
  13. Enforcers earn it for the same reason as everybody else. They have a job to do, and if they do it, the team is better for it.
  14. His timing was alright, but the forwards made little effort to cover. Not perfect but not terrible. And that video... that was a terrible slip-up.
  15. I always have a charge or two saved just for those situations. Although I never seem to get any bold items when I have the Stone.
  16. I liked Armstrong's play tonight. He did his job. But how do you give up a 2-on-0 on your own power play? And not one, but two too many men on the ice penalties?

I'm the only one with the money for it... and my mom owns the property. I was supposed to get the money back from the insurance on the garage, but barring a miracle they will find a reason not to pay it (yes, they are trying). I would have already handed the money over, if not for Christmas. I have yet to buy anything for anybody since it has been a weird couple of months.
  18. Same. When I'm supposed to be working, I like to stay working and not just hang around pretending to do stuff. I am the same way. If they have nothing for me to do, I have to force myself to not ask to leave early. If I was working more consistent hours for better pay, then I would just leave. On the other hand, when I'm at home, I don't mind doing nothing as long as there is nothing to be done.

My grandmother's garage caught fire. It's down to the bits of steel that once held it together. Electrical fire. I have officially been asked to pay for the re-wiring of the house itself. I guess there is really only one thing to do...
  20. This. I think they earned their spot on that team, whether as a bench player or a starter. If nothing else, they are there and ready to go. It is (usually) not their decision to sit. Still, if it was me, I would feel weird accepting it.

Tell us more. Blake-incited edit: Like, what kind of foods are in there that you won't eat? ಠ_ಠ Bacon, Ham, Pork, Frozen Vegetables, various pre-made Stir Fry things... And frozen pizzas. Second day in a row that my sister has been home, since her school is closed due to weather. It's been snowing like crazy (finally) and they had to cancel the city buses because they couldn't keep the roads clear enough. In fact, she likely won't be going tomorrow, either... Also, my uncle is in the hospital recovering from heart surgery and nobody can get there to see him because of the roads. This is a bad week.
  22. Blake practiced that shot, though. Grabovski hasn't. If he decides to pull it off again, it will work more smoothly. And Gustavsson made some big saves throughout the game. Still, I agree he wasn't that great until the shootout.
  23. Like was said above, it would be pointless. But I don't disagree with it. It would, if anything, be good for members and F2P alike. I also agree, to a degree, with Snare and Waves, but only in that it would give F2P mage the boost it needs. We don't really need to craft Chaos runes, we don't need crossbows right now and Mystic wouldn't help mage enough.
  24. Good man kid, that's the way to do it  It's not always the day it was on though, just some insignificant detail that they talk to themselves about. Yeah, I was just using the same example as you. If I don't see it being overly important I either guess or leave it out altogether. Unless the people I'm talking to have a habit of doing it, then I will just to see what they think of it.
  25. 3 months, 6.3%. So around 4 years to 100%?
