  1. for p2p, it would have to be either in the middle of the wilderness, otherwise in far western reaches of the elven lands EDIT: Northern Trollheim maybe
  2. In a reply to a problem i was having JaGeX told me to uninstall my old java, to download the new java, i searched "java" in my loacal hardrive and about 60 programs came up, i tried delting them all, but it wouldn't let me... so how do i uninstall Java? tyvm EDIT: there are 141 files under a search for "java" and if i try to delete them it says; "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from source file or disk."
  3. it depends, if the hacker really really wanted to get into your acount then you really can't be 100% safe, but still... for them to try that hard you would really have to have some serious stuff, then when it's in your bank, it's unreachable... plus your recovery questions... it just wouldn't be worth their while
  4. i clicked on the world select as always, but this time it said "several Java Virtual machines running in the same process caused an error" i'm not that good with computers so it would help alot of someone could tell me what to do, because the game isn't loading for me. -thanks alot EDIT: i disconnected and re-connected the network, and it has loaded now... didn't think it would do anything :?:
  5. very interesting, didn't know that, thanks for posting, i would've thought those sales are just more money for Ebay, why would they stop it?
  6. firstly, you say that jagex whould just forget about doing anything about autoer's, this was actually a very good way to stop auto'ing within the rune essence market, which is good for alot of people. I'm sick of people complaining about this update, they needed to do it, just like if a similar thing happens to minning, they will do something about that, autoer's will always be a part of the game, but to continously beat them back, means that it's actually a hard business to get into for some people who are not that serious and thats always a good thing ok, inflations seems to be a term thrown around by everyone who doesn't know what's what about it. There is nothing wrong with not understanding it, but you are misusing the term. To reduce inflation one would need to take the money out of the game, so by reducing the cost of laws the only money that is reduced by going out of the game is by less people buying from stores, which is a minimal effect on inflation in the runescape economy, trading from one person to another does not reduce inflation
  7. good article well done, i would also like to point out that jagex has done the best job every on the latest quest "cold war" it was funy and had a good story line with the also challenging parts, well sort of. I would agree that Jagex has done a good job on most quests, others have jokes that just go over my head, i guess i'm too young to understand some of the topics, and have never seen what the others are actually reffering to. I think that what they're doing is good, but they should expand into all the different age groups. Then again i might just have missed out on some of the classic shows
  8. i like 'em, Jagex needs to add some more humour i think, there should be two skill capes for skill.... then people would be using the emotes a bit more... plus 100+ more per skill cape out of the game... it's a win win
  9. it's like all the mini-games you really have to expect it, people will play it untill they get bored and move on to their usual routines, it doesn't mean it was a failure, the game will still be played by the organised teams, this is what mini-games are there for, aside from pest control, it is there as just a fun alternative to the continuous training that happens every day. BA just seems more of a failure because of the way that teams are organised, if you had to organise those teams for something like castle wars it would be the same, there are games going on but you can't expect to just join a world and expect to find a team, but the game itself will always be a success.
  10. mine is i think --- moosewalker, never seen any other names that similar
  11. ok, soon, that mean we should start to pre-pare for the invasion, woo bomb shelters - because aparently they have nukes..... hmm, nah too lazy, i'll just be in shilo village untill this all blows over then - too warm for them... i hope
  12. i think that the number of people who actually used to sit with the hellhounds were there becasue people had told them stories about how they sat there for two minutes got a clue, then ten minutes later finished it, and made millions, but sooner or later they all realise that that was either a lie or very much a one off chance... The decrease is, in my opinion, cause by the lack of false rumors that are spread with the realease of more or less every single new update, and seeing as all the rumors about making millions from TT's fast have disapeared and the stories of hours wasted has grown has deterred people.
  13. i agree it is too strict, you can be woodcutting and click on the tree watching the screen and all of a sudden you get logged out before the tree falls.. :?
  14. If u thought into it enough you would see that all the polls of late have had a purpose to upcoming updates, a few weeks back i remember the poll who do you think is the secret ruler of runescape... the most voted was pengiuns, now look in January's behind the scenes, last update of the month... penguin quest, this is just their way of making decesions about the storyline of quests, mini-games, skill adjustments so forth... Jagex has so much potential to grow and they are doing so, with the latest changes to downsize bandwith so they actually can expand. Now i'm not that good with computers but my understanding is that more bandwith more free space. As much as i disagree with calling people "n00bs" it's true generally the regular player will only go on the forums to buy and sell things, loook up the prices, form clans and maybe comment on the latest update, the rest are usually whingers who want the game made easy for them.
  15. mining, prayer, wc... the ones that take the hard yards
  16. well i like it because it actually takes VERY little effort once you have worked out how to do it all right, it's also a very profitable skill and that total level can't be dragged down with a skill at such a low level.
  17. agreed, even though they would be better off otherwise, they must have their reasons
  18. neither are that expensive, dragon long has the spec and is all out better
