You can't determine the speed of the graphics card by how much memory it has. Did you install the drivers correctly?

50mbs for $45? Are you crazy? $40-$45 for 6-8mbs is the average price around here in the states.

The only reason I would disagree with that is because I like the single core processors better, because a lot of games still don't support dual-core's... On a totally diffrent note... http://www.alienware.com/product_detail ... KU-DEFAULT I'd get that lol. That was last year that games did not support dual core. Now almost every new game supports them. Even if the game didn't, one core of a core 2 duo would still be faster than an AMD single core.

I would say option 2. It has a core 2 duo and 2gb of ram, you can't too much better than that. Although it doesn't say what the graphics card is. Which means if it isn't listed, it's probably bad.

You could always burn them all to a dvd, or a few if you have a lot of music. Itunes will even do it for you. Go to File>back up to disk.

He's not having trouble with his internet speed, he's looking for something faster than what he already has. :wink:

What fool would pay 5000$ for a license anyways? Companies pay it all the time. If the company wants to do powerfull rendering they want the best program, and Maya is the best. I have used it before but I found it hard to learn so I stopped after like 15mins.

I think I win as the fastest isp :D . I have Comcast, yes I think there bad, but only on customer service. Those are pretty much real speeds too, I can download huge files at 1.4MBs. They are more than double what I am suppose to be getting (8000/386), but I'm not complaining. :)

We look into them 'way too much' because that's usually what it takes to figure out what's actually wrong instead of just assuming it's your ISP working on something. People that assume it's just the ISP 'working' every time something like this happens end up getting shafted in the end because they're paying for unstable services. I have one of the best internet providers in the country (USA) and I still sometimes have slow speeds or more commonly no internet every now and then. Who is your ISP? You better not say Comcast or Verizon if your ISP is the best.

So you saying all the new computers from major retailers are not valid Windows installs? Just because they don't come with a disk doesn't mean it's not valid. Technically if you have your own cd key that you payed for, you can use any Windows disk and it is legal.

This means his account has Administrator privileges and yours doesn't. The only way for you to install it is to ask him to install it for you or have him edit your privileges to be able to install programs.

I hope your not being serious, ATI was the first to release stable Vista drivers. They have been out for a long time. In fact I'm running Vista with ATI drivers right now. well last time i tried to run ati with vista, about 2 months ago, the ati drivers werent released yet, i guess if you have vista with ati now they released the drivers.. :anxious: I was using Vista beta2 with ATI drivers like 6 months ago :?

Those fan speeds are perfectly normal. Fan speeds usually depends on how big the fan is (how big it is the slower it spins). If those are idle temps they are decent, although the 46c temp for idle is not good. You would really want to measure them at full load, like after you run a game.

Stalker is an awsome game. It's kind of like Oblivion (in the role playing game part) but is a first person shooter. I highly recommend it. You need a very fast computer to play this game without shuttering. I am struggling with low on a x850XT, so goodluck. Although there are some bugs with this game but most are fixed with the patch that just came out. There are still a few major bugs that should be fixed with the next patch.

Probably when I dislocated my shoulder and they had to pop it back in. I have broken both legs, my left wrist twice, and the growth plate in my ankle but nothing hurt worse than my shoulder. It was my right shoulder too so I had a nice excuse for a week not to write anything down in school. :D

Try a different channel for the router. There maybe somebody close to you that is using the same channel as you and causing interference. Make sure you have the latest firmware and drivers for the router (and adapters).

If you really must put music in a page consider the fact that not everybody has a fast internet conection. If you put a big mp3 file to load everytime somebody visits the page it will take a long time to load (and may make people find a better site) and it will make your bandwidth usage higher.

and raise the cost to $100 a can and then you have something the military uses. :P

I agree with Darkrick on this, try the Omega Drivers. To use the onboard graphics you may need to (re)enable them in the bios or just remove the graphics card before you start using them.

No you didn't. Telling us you have windows popping up tells us nothing about your problem. Yeah, you have windows open. What are they? What do they do? What do they say? If you had read the sticky Parabola linked to, you'd know we need more info. If your virus scanner is telling you that you are infected, you most likely are. The way you are going about responding to this also doesn't make it sound like you know enough to disregard what the scanner is telling you. This is most likely caused by the virus your scanner keeps telling you that you have but you keep disregarding. We aren't mind readers. Saying 'I get 2 popup windows with error messages' does not detail the problem. um ya iv had this virus pop up thing for a while now andd when i scan i never get virus and when i looked for both the virues were it said the files were there was no files by that name so ya and with the problems windows i jsut want to know hjow to get rid of them like a program that will help get rid of them all it says is a bunch of numbers and junk and this application has failed The files are hidden but the scanner can still find them, but you can't.
