1) This related to how much you can download from the internet. Webpages, IM conversations are all included in this. 2) If you are just using MSN messenger and viewing webpages it's almost impossible to go over this limit. 3) This all depends if your paranoid about going over. Some ISPs put a cap on your bandwidth but it's usually not enforced (unless you eat up some outrageous amount). I have never used them before so I have no clue if they do this. 4) You shouldn't have to take any precautions to save bandwidth, 40gb is a lot of bandwidth to eat up in just one month. Although don't torrent a lot because that could eat up bandwidth pretty fast.

If you compare the same spec computer made by Dell and HP, they would both run Vista the same. It's not who makes it, it's what is inside. Like somebody before said, look and see who has a better warenty.

You could do something similar to this with Firefox. Runescape in tab 1, internet screen in tab 2, and install the extension foxytunes which allows you to select songs from Windows media player and many other players.

Thats not just Tigerdirect's marketing scheme, it's the manufacturer's. The manufacturer basically buys the chips from Nvidia and the specs Nvidia suggests for the chip is what the manufacturer is suppose to go by. Although some decide to push it higher which I consider an overclock, which technically it is. Whether or not is overclocked or not by the company the chip will still have a limit on high it can clock, so it's better to get is "pre-overclocked" to have the warranty. Although you interpretation of an overclock is different than mine, they are both right :D .

Hard Drive is not the "memory" he is talking about. When refering to hard drive space, call it storage or simply hard drive space :P . He is referring to memory, or ram (random access memory) that is usually 512mb - 2gbs in size. You need to give us more information before we can give more detailed suggestions. To see if it's an overheating problem, download Speedfan. It will give you the temperatures of everything in your computer. Write them down (or screenshot) of them while playing Runescape for a little while. Also tell us your system specs.

All cards are "pre-overclocked" - in the past, they pushed them to what they knew was safe, and if you wanted to risk it you could. Nowadays, they STILL push it to what they know is safe, they're just much better at knowing what's safe. Pre-overclocked means that the clock speeds are higher than the default. For example the normal 7900GS clocks on Nvidia's specs are 450 core and 1320 mem. The video card that he suggested (and I agreed with) has higher clocks than that.

Well yes the 8600gt is a joke. Thats why I suggested the gts, but if you can't afford that, the 7900GS is still very good. I found the 7950GT for $252 before rebate ($213 after) if you can afford the $2 over budget, get it. What happened to the 8600gts? I'm still sticking with that suggestion from my last post. Although if for some reason it has to be bumped down to the 8600gt, I would get the XFX because it's a pre overclocked card, assuming they are all the same price. If the gap is more than $10 get the cheapest one.

The disk size doesn't matter, or up to a certan point. The xbox360 uses a dl-dvd which is 9.4GBs and the PS3's blueray is 25GBs. The 360 is not limited to the limited disk space, the biggest game to date is like 7GBs (from what I have read). Disk size usually does not go up over time either, developers usually find tricks and ways as time goes on to reduce disk size. I think the 360 is the Best console out but if the PS3 and the 360 were the same price, the PS3 would be better. The Blueray is an awesome format, but should have not been included in the PS3, it raised the cost a lot, and it shows no (real world) benefits in games. Develops don't like it either, because it's hard to code for. They rather have something easier to code, like the 360 or the Wii. You have to remember, time is money. If a game takes 1.5 years to code for strictly the 360 and the same game takes 2 years to code on a PS3, what will a developer choose?

They should have left Blu-ray out. It added about ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã150 to the price, and no-one cares about it. Except every developer in the industry, they have already expressed how much they love it Which Sony probably payed them to say that. The PS3 is not going to have a price drop anytime soon. Sony is losing over $200 on each unit. There might be a production decrease meaning lower cost for Sony but I don't think they will lower the consumer price until they atleast break even.

First off never re-install Windows if you have no clue what your doing. Especially for a virus which you could have removed easily with Ad-aware, AVG, or spy-bot. Go to the display proerties by right clicking on the desktop and click properties. Hope this helps.

Decently the 8600gts. It's even an overclocked model so it will beat out the other 2 with ease. The only 7 series card that beats this out is the 7950gt and thats not on your list, and even if it was I would still recommend the 8600gts because it is more future proof. EDIT: I just noticed, the first option (7800 gs) is not even compatible with your computer, it's AGP.

no you got it all wrong. Don't set up firefox to use a proxy, you have to go to a proxy website (find by google search) and then type the website address into it. Revert your firefox settings to before you tried this also.

Theres no such program (that I know of) that can scrable an ip address. If you have a dynamic ip address you can usually unplug the modem (and router if you have one) from the wall and it will give you a new ip. Or you can use a proxy site. Google is your friend.

Why would you want to do this?

To add to the above post: If your buying a pre-built computer there "should" be less bugs than a normal pc that upgraded to Vista. The reason for this is that the OEMs that build the computer choose hardware that is garenteed to work with Vista (or atleast not have any problems), other than having a hit or miss when somebody upgrades. One thing you should do first is any program you can not live without google it and make sure it will run on Vista.

and when you get that up the top should be a tab called appearance. Windows Blinds is not a memory hog (if thats what you were implying). Mine uses less than 15MBs of ram all the time. If you think thats hoggish, then time for a ram upgrade.

I don't think you have to change any files on the computer itself, but a lot on the ipod. Or atleast I don't remember creating any files on my computer when I did it (except for the files to put on the ipod of course), but that was a long time ago. If you do infact mess the ipod up you can restore it with Apple's ipod restore utility. You will lose all your songs on the ipod but that shouldn't be a problem if they are stored in Itunes.
