how edit a video
Yes, use a program called Windows Movie Maker. It should be on your computer already if your running XP or Vista.

Windows Movie Maker
Yes, SP2 does contain WMM. To get it go to windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download all updates. Not only will that give you WMM but also patch your Windows for less viruses.

Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker should come with a legit Windows XP with SP2 installed.

hypercam issue
You would need to lower the quality and the fps. Don't lower the fps too much or it will look choppy. Anywhere over 23 would be fine.

Upgrading system WITHOUT formating, possible?
I have one more question. Would my Ubuntu installation work fine or would I need to reinstall that? EDIT: I have another question, I am upgrading from a single to a dual core cpu would this affect anything? Like if tyhe program is multithreaded but I installed on a single core would it just "know" that it should be multithreaded now? I hope somebody got what I just posted, because I don't really know how to explain my question.

Upgrading system WITHOUT formating, possible?
Thanks for you help guys. I hope I don't run into any problems  . Mercifull: Why would I need to flash my bios? I do it anyway when new a new one comes out, but how would that affect the Windows installation?

Upgrading system WITHOUT formating, possible?
Well I am finally getting the upgrades my computer has been needing. I am replacing the motherboard, processor, and ram. I am wondering if I can just put everything in, and uninstall the old drivers and just install the new ones with no problems. Is that possible without running into a performance impact or issues down the road? I am running Vista Home premium x64.

Will my friends computer run WoW?
For a cheap graphics card you can get the 7600gt for $109. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814130062 The above suggestion is if you have pci-e slot on your motherboard, if you only have an AGP slot you can get this. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814102057 If you have money left over from the graphics card purchase I recommend getting some more ram. Getting 1gb of ram would greatly improve overall computer performance.

Upgrading...
For ram any major name brand would be good. Such as: OCZ, Corsair, G.skill, Patriot, A-data and a few more. Graphics cards for me to suggest I would need your buget that you are willing to spend on these upgrades. I also need what type of graphics slot you have (AGP or pci-e).

My DVD/CD Drive has gone missing!!! *CLOSE PLEASE*
Yeah, time to take it back to BestBuy. -.- Lol, I never trust BestBuy. I'd get the parts and assemble my machines myself (Yes I'm a nerd :anxious: ) It's fun =] Lol. He probably bought the laptop at bestbuy.

E-Mail Forwarding
Long list of email addresses because your mom/siblings are too stupid to delete them and just click fwd as soon as they see the email. Then take that list and sell it to a spammer. That is exactly why chain letters are started, and that is exactly why now only 3 people know my email address. If you are stupid enough to forward me all this crap and give spammers my email address, then you don't have the right to email me anymore. But why do people put these chain letters in comment sections of websites? I have seen them on music.aol.com , youtube.com ect. Surely there's noway to gather a email list with that one............ I think

E-Mail Forwarding
My question is why do people make these stupid chain letters? They're not even in just email and IMs anymore. Now they're starting to show up in comments of websites, video pages, forums ect. There's not even advertising a product so there isn't even a profit involved. :?

Spring Nor'easter
I live in Eastern Mass too. Just tons of rain, and heavy winds. A bunch of people in my town lost power, but not me. :D So do I. Weird. I probably know you IRL and don't know it. Anyways... It was raining. I don't live close to the coast, so it wasn't a huge flood, but there was some minor flooding...And my house's ceiling leaked for the first time ever. Other than that, I stayed home to whole day due to vacation (Yay!) and watched TV and played computer games. Both were rather laggy... And the Boston Marathon was a mess. I don't know how they didn't slip. East coast Massachusetts FTW :D . I live right by the coast and I got tons of rain. My basement started to get water, but that's no surprise because I always get water. Nothing major, only an inch. It's suppose to rain until Thursday :( , why does it always rain on my vacation.

Startup problem.
Just because you didn't get this problem at first doesn't mean that you can keep shutting the computer down incorrectly from now on. Go to My computer > right click on the d: drive> tools tab> scan disk/ error checking> check both boxes and hit start. It will prompt you to run this test on your next start up, click yes and restart the computer and let it do it's thing.

Graphics Card Problem
add-remove programs Yes you can disable the integrated card, uninstall the drivers for it before you install the new ones for your new graphics card.

Windows XP to be discontinued in early 2008
Except for the fact it takes Vista 5+ minutes to decompress a 1.2mb zip file where XP takes seconds, Vista's copying/cutting/pasting takes forever and a day, hardware requirements have doubled and UAC is a steaming pile of junk that will drive even the hardcore Windows user insane (I turned it off 15 minutes into configuring stuff after what felt like a couple hundred 'ok' prompts). The only advantage I have found with Vista over the 5 other XP machines in my house has been that it boots slightly faster from a cold start than the others, which doesn't amount to much. I'd rather spend another $80 downgrading the new Core2 laptop we got to XP just so file functions are usable again. Horridly slow transfer rates when you're dealing with multiple gigabyte sets of pictures are not a good thing. What decompresser are you using for these files? I use Winrar and I haven't noticed any speed decrease, although I never have used the built in one with Vista.

Graphics Card Problem
The correct way to install a driver is this: Uninstall all previous graphics drivers (including the ati you just installed) reboot download the newest drivers from the ATI website install reboot again

ad block plus
It's completely safe. Although blocking ads is a bad thing to do. Most websites (including this one) make money to stay running mainly by ad revenue, by blocking the ads you are not helping the website.
