  1. I did some macro photography today, after months of nothing. I'm quite happy with the results, too bad I cant enter them in the comp. CC appreciated :) http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com/art/Ins ... -127098443 http://woopidoo2.deviantart.com/art/Her ... -127098967 Might upload more, these two are the best I think.
  2. 5 scammers responded to my ad in one week, in which I sell my Canon EOS 350D. Most emails were obvious, some were in half dutch/half english, and I believed one email until I read half of it.
  3. That photo is fantastic Jelle! Thanks  My vacation started today, might go to the woods tomorrow to do some more macro (without my tripod this time, sold it :) ) Dont think I will manage to enter them here though, if I get better photos.
  4. [hide=Unedited][/hide] ^I could see this guy's 'body juices' flowing, very fascinating to see :geek: ^ [hide=Edited][/hide]
  5. Once, I saw this horrible animal-abuse animated .gif on 4chan. I only saw like 8 frames of it, but it did scare the [cabbage] out of me. [hide=For those who want to know,]it featured a pretty asian girl with high heals, carressing a cute little cat. You do the rest. :([/hide] After that, I never visited it again. And I cant say I regret that, its just such a twisted 'community'.
  6. Agreed, i immedeatly associate pentooling with you now. You are teh king You know that the men to sheep ratio has halved in the past ten years? only 10 to 1 now on your the island where they shot Lord of the Rings EDIT: Found a map of locations where they shot some of those images, not sure where the mountains are, you should go there sometime with your camera See Auckland? Shiny and I live there (Not together, of course) See from Nelson down? That's where the mountains are. :( Swim. Anyway, the map of NZ looks like a photographer's paradise. Almost like a Runescape Guild... everything you need is in your reach. (beach, interesting landscapes, skies, good weather, etc) Ive got to go to sleep. #-o
  7. What's the first prize? :) You should really go back and try to find some more scenes, the woods can be very interesting. I also agree with Shiny.
  8. Thank you :) I did have a lot of fun :) Yes, I loved them both :) I didn't find myself needing the 10-22mm much though, as I was content with my 18-55mm, but it was still a great lens. And the 100-400 was fantastic. Man is that thing heavy though! It is a fantastic piece of glass though. I still have about another week on my rental, so I'll probably take it out around my house to get closer pictures of deer and coyotes (and a mountain lion if I'm lucky, but I doubt it :P). The push & pull system from the 100-400mm is quite funny, I had some trouble with it when I first tried it out. I didnt know there was a slider to adjust the push/pull-resistance. So I thought 'Man, it takes some strength to zoom now' :P I think I would only use it @400mm, so in case I will buy a tele zoom I would buy the 400mm f5.6 (the 'forgotten 400'). You might like this article, they compare the 100-400 to the 400. Might be worth it looking into this one if you noticed that you only used the 100-400 at 400mm ;) http://www.luminous-landscape.com/revie ... -400.shtml
  9. I think you solved it :D I cant see what would be wrong with this query, and it works so I guess this is the right answer :) Thanks alot for helping me out :)
  10. I uploaded the .mdb file: http://rapidshare.de/files/47589494/kla ... d.mdb.html The words are in dutch, here's the question again: Select [voornaam] and [e-mail] from everyone with an income of 20.000. Select [berichtnummer], [titel] and [tekst] from messages (berichten) that belong to the theme Fun!!. (Make sure that the messages are next to eachother on one rule, behind the first name and email-adress from that person.) I believe I have to bring 3 different tabels into 1 query, although I'm still lost on how to do this. Thanks alot for the help so far :)
  11. You rented the 10-22mm and 100-400 right? Do you like them? :) The 100-400 must be a real joy to use. I like the one without sepia most too. The eagle one is nice too, the best out of 8 :)
  12. It's definitely going somewhere, my biggest point of critique would be the composition. The lightbeams at the left look cool, but it makes the right side quite empty. (Which is interesting too, but the beams are too demanding.) Keep it up, find balance and think of what you place where in order to make it a striking manipulation :)
  13. I went shooting the day before yesterday, I found this place which was full of tiny slugs and other insects. I'll enter two of those photos, I'm happy with the results I got there.
  14. I know that I shouldnt be asking others do solve things for me, but this is an emergency. I need some help in making this SQL query, I failed at the first attempt and I havent got a clue what the answer is. Our whole class is having trouble with it actually, except for the few die-hard coders. The information: ''Select the first name and Email adress from everyone with an income below 20.000. On top of that, select the message-number, title and text from messages that belong to the theme 'fun!!'. (Make sure that the different messages are next to eachother in one rule, behind the first name and email-adress from that person.)'' [First name], and [income] are from the database 'Persons' [Message number], [title] and [text] are from the database 'Messages' ['Theme'] is from the database 'Newsletters'. I will give you more information if you need it :) Thanks in advance, if there's an SQL-expert out there.
  15. Very similar to the PSDTUTS version I had seen a while ago. The stocks, colors and even the font seems to be the same as in the tutorial, but the result turned out nice. Looking forward to seeing more :)
  16. I think it looks pretty good, well done. CC: -'Contact us' and 'information brochure' is sticking to the red bar, none of the other text is sticking to it. I think you could as well delete the 'information brochure' text. -'Values' could be moved a bit higher -The word 'Cross' on the stripe could be titled a bit more to the right, so it's lines are equal to the stripe. The first image in the tut did it right.
  17. ! Its only $28, 20 (free shipping). The Cactus is 40. Lets see if I can get my Paypal back to work :(
  18. Alright, seems like a good deal. I cant find the CTR 301 triggers on Amazon though. These guys seem to be pretty positive about it too: http://www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/d ... 535964184/
  19. Oh, those must be great. I've been thinking about buying a 'Cactus Wireless Flash Trigger V2s', but I decided not to buy it any time soon. I have to stop spending money, and I want a new guitar first #-o Anyway, I will enter. I havent done anything macro lately, but I'm sure I'll come up with something nice for this comp. Unfortunately, the weather seems to be getting worse and worse. By worse, do you mean sunnier so you can't do waterdrop macro's? Water + Leaf = Waterdrop Its easier to shoot macros with some decent weather instead of rain. I feel like shooting insects, which will show themselves in sunny weather. (not all, but most)

  21. Thanks for the votes everyone. I didnt expect much of it but it was fun after all. And, macro is relevant to my interests.
  22. Unedited: 1. LP 2. Remoteman 3. Littleboy Edited: 1. Remoteman - Overall mood is great, very subtle use of color adjustment. 2. LP 3. Lukabo Looking forward to the next theme already.

Which version of FF? Yeah, I've been having issues with margin when you hover over it... On FF the box gets bigger if you don't shrink the box slightly. And thanks to the rest of you! :P I use the newest version of Firefox. Maybe one of my plugins is causing the trouble, I dont know.
