  1. Fruit shots: They look good, but my main point of critique is the point of view which is the same in each photo, and kind of boring too ;) Keep it up.
  2. I wanted to show some of my photos that some of you might not have seen (sp?). The Gallery seems to be in some kind of upward spiral lately, remember the runescape buddies and the crappy pixels? These photos are nothing new for those that have been watching me at Deviantart, I kind of switched to DA while I used to spend alot of time here at Tip.it. I'm sure that my moderating had to do with that, but I'm still not bored at Tip.it :) Here they are, from 21 October until today, 6 December: (For more info, click the photo) [hide=The photos, all around 750x500px] Then, a personal favorite and my most popular photo at DA: (Also entered it at a Autumn comp, great prizes \ ) 'Happy Leaf:' Last one, uploaded it yesterday: [/hide] CC, as always, very much appreciated.

    CCTV [WIP]

Too much going on at the right, which makes it hard for me to focus on the left part. My eyes went: To the left, to where the main text is (nice fonts by the way), *confusion* Reads CCTV, looks at the camera, reads DRUNK and then something of the rest. The part that you devided by the safety-line (below 'he is watching') has an unclear message, why does that part need a line and what does it devide? Keep it up, you're in the right direction :)
  4. Thank you for organising this. I will enter, 1) because I always enter in Tip.it photography contests and 2) because I still have to make a macro for this winter competition at Deviantart. I dont think I will enter a macro at this competition though, but who knows.
  5. I will call the nearest driving instructor and arrange driving lessons as soon as I turn 18. I might even do that some days before my birthday, I cant wait to drive my parents' cars :) (and my own, once I get a decent job to pay for the car/gas/taxes etc)
  6. Right now I'm doing pretty good, Im studying Communication and Multimedia Design at college. People from my class say that this is a very easy course, so I (coming from highschool) am very happy with that :)
  7. I think they are pretty good, at least they dont bore me. They kind of look like my 'beginning-photos', if that means anything. The Olympus E410 isnt that bad at all, you get a kitlens thats as wide as 14mm (or is that the kit for the E-330? ) and I have seen some great photos made with it. Dont think you own bad cameras, after all its up to the photographer what he/she decides to photograph. You wont start making world class photos with the very best gear all of a sudden, it will help though ;) Check out the details of this photo, made by an Olympus E-330: [hide=] (Photographer: http://realitydream.deviantart.com/ He's got lots more panoramas like that.[/hide] Keep it up, good to see more photography at The Gallery lately :)

    Renders

It makes me wonder if you have any clue at all. Well, then don't come into these topics... Oh and look... these people can These people can do that indeed, and we try to help you by saying that. Or, just ignore it and stick to your crappy way of rendering images.

    Renders

If you like doing it, keep practicing. My stock photos used to get denied at SXC and I got mad at them many times. But after a while I looked at the photos and I realised they werent as good as I thought, but I did continue submitting new photos.
  10. Here's what I think you should do: Make a selection of ~10 photos that you like most, from an 'artistic' point of view. Then, right click on the image > Properties > copy the link you see there, and place it on these forums between tags. I could view them all but that takes way too much time. ;)
  11. The mug is cool though. I see myself as a graphic designer in some years, creating things on a computer behind a desk.. with a 'Ban Comic Sans' mug like that full of coffee :)
  12. http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Comic_Sans http://bancomicsans.com/ :geek:
  13. Lol, I already knew that. Comic Sans must die. I will try these suggestions right now, thanks again.
  14. Thanks for the replies, I already thought of using the 'standard' fonts, but my main concern is what to do with the lesser-known fonts, and how I solve that problem. I will read your article later Merc, I think that answers the question above :)
  15. I'm currently learning the basics of xHTML and CSS at school and at home. As an 'own project', I want to make my own website where I can publish my photos as a photographer. This has nothing to do with school, I just want to see how I will manage. I have a question, both the teacher and the text book say that not all kinds of fonts are supported by computers because the user hasnt installed every font on his machine. Browsers will automatically insert alternatives for uninstalled fonts, but thats not what I want because I want that everyone sees the font that I used on my website. Is there a way to make my font visible to all websites? I could try to fix something in flash, but this could result in clickable images instead of links. I'm thinking about making something like this website, clean and simple. Look at the links at the left, thats what I'm trying to achieve. Help is appreciated :)
  16. I'm learning the basics of xHTML and CSS at school right now, they mentioned that website in my book as 'the' pioneer in CSS design. Great website indeed.
  17. The 'creator'? The kid that cut it out from the game he played, or the game developer that spend months on making the character look good? I personally think its a kind of 'trap' that new sigmakers fall for. They are starting out, and they need something to work with. The thing they need first is a cool image to work with, lets say their favorite character from a game. Render websites like http://www.planetrenders.net claim that everything can be used without permission (they do have rules, but downloading the renders is too easy over there) and thats why I think that they have to change that. On the other hand, I havent seen any big game companies like Blizzard or Activision that sue a render website because of the copyright infrigment. What would happen if a company would actually sue a website? They have the right to do that.
  18. Agreed. This gave me a laugh. :P
  19. :l Not trying to be a smart-[wagon], but they only think it will give them better photos. It doesnt give them any more stability (maybe they are trying to move their point-of-balance..) , it doesnt stabalize the camera itself.. and the point of view will be slightly lower, for whatever the reason may be :|
  20. Those 2 speedpaintings look great, well done =D> The colors match perfectly and succeed to give me the cold feeling that is there at the scene.
  21. I think its pretty funny, short but funny. We need more topics about 'other stuff' instead of the never ending source of new signatures, at The Gallery.
  22. That's just stupid. The story is only 8 hours long max. Some great action, and some awesome set pieces. Also, Running into enemy lines with an MG42. It blows limbs off. Also love that online too. Powerful weapons and explosives (tanks/artillery /grenades etc) blow people's limbs off. I'm amazed that the level of detail in the gore is allowed in a game rated 15. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for that, but they are usually such nazis at the ESPRB/BBFC. Yes indeed, I noticed that too while playing the Russian Solo player. The Flame-Thrower is a winner too, you feel like the Master when you run towards your enemy while controling a massive flame. =D>
  23. Still working at the same supermarket. I will soon get fired because I become 18 in Febuary -.- Its great though, we are all friends of eachother. The work isnt hard at all, so its easy-money. I worked on fridays from 17:00 to 24:00/1:00/2:00 in a restaurant as a dish-washer past weeks, the payment was better but most of the time it felt like slave labour. No matter how hard you work, you just cant keep up with all the dirty plates/forks/knifes/spoons/lots of other objects that you have to clean and carry away. It always ran out late anyway, so I quit past friday. I am still looking for another job, Im sure I can get better jobs as a student. :)
  24. Who has tried the 'Zombie Nazis' yet? Sounds like a great game, according to Gamespot's review. I stopped while playing CoD4 at the sniper-level with a wounded soldier that you have to protect, but Im sure that I will play this one to the fullest.
