Yeah, that's the same with my brother. He can buy software from the school much cheaper than the retail price because he's a student :) I'm a college student too, I could have gotten lots of discounts too. When I got to college in the beginning of the year, with my Photoshop CS3, our teacher asked us: 'Who doesnt have photoshop yet?' (about half of the class didnt) 'Alright, be right back, I will get it' He comes back with this burned cd with the complete master collection, anyone who needed it could install it from that CD. Everything worked, and it still does :thumbup:

Enough time + Motivation = Me entering.

First: Nothing special is happening, the colors and effects are static and kind of boring. Second: The render.. :| And, do I see a stroke? a stroke on a render is always a no. ;) Both backgrounds arent looking good either, and the sizes of both sigs arent pleasant to look at. Keep practicing ;)

The avatars look alright, they could be improved but they look pretty nice. The banner though.. the blurry background doesnt work, it kind of seems rushed. Search for some tutorials to improve, and keep practicing :)

I would follow the river to find a place with less trees where light is coming through. I dont know if that would work out, but you could always try ;)

Wow, the bald-eagle is much and much better than the others :P Really, I dream of capturing that bird like that. :thumbup: How close was it? which lens did you use? I'm very interested in birding, and I will lend my friend's Sigma 80-400 this weekend to try some birding near me. I wont be seeing any eagles though :| Keep it up, try to photograph when the light is special. Return to that river a few hours before sunset, or just when the light is warmer than the usual light.

You live in a great area, thats for sure. They're all promising, best being 14. Its a bit over-exposed, but all in all that one is best. Keep it up, and try to photograph at the same scenes when the light isnt as standard as in these photos. A sunrise/sunset can do great things to the light, an hour before sunset will give you warm colors which could result in great photos. Keep it up, I wish I had that kind of nature around me.

I think your camera simply saw the moving light so it recorded that, and it only recorded your hand how it behaved on that moment. Your hand didnt get blurred because it doesnt reflect as much light as the phone did. Something like that, I think. :|

What? Am I the only one that thinks it looks pretty good? The colors arent supposed to mix because they clash. And there's nothing wrong with this combination, color-wise. Like someone said before, the liquified sprites could use some erasing. There's also some pink at the left, which should be blue. Maybe you could create some 'air pressure' in the exact middle, Im not sure how you should do that though.

Lets say, they all have potential. Most of them have something 'missing', but the next signature has the thing thats missing compared to the one above. I say, find your balance and combine the right things from all of your signatures. And, get rid of the RS 'graphics' :P

I think it looks very good to be honest, but there's something bothering me about the thickness of lines. She is wearing a striped shirt and all, which looks good but I feel like her face-hair and gun lines are too thin compared to that. Try to make those thicker, but leave the places that create detail (hairline, gun) the same thickness. I wonder how that would turn out. It might look like crap, but at least I gave you my thoughts :P

Meh, I feel like a weakling now.. Due to a project at school which will take all of my time, I cant come up with a decent entry, let alone photography at all. I might be over-estimating this school project, but I dont think its smart for me to try something at all, also because of the number of people participating. So Tripsis, if you entered anything official.. you win. I wish I couldve done something, but it just didnt work out :( That means I have to end this competition.

Ive been thinking and reading on how to do this, but I still dont know it. I want to create a website which is accessible in 2 languages. After typing the URL that leads a user to my website, the user has to choose between English or Dutch. The content of both directions are the same, just different languages. How do I do this in a smart way, which is clear for me and for the visitor? I was thinking about a structure like this: *user goes to * *user chooses English or Dutch* If English: www..nl/en/home www..nl/en/aboutme etc. If Dutch: www..nl/nl/home www..nl.nl/overmij etc. Thats seems the best structure, but is this realistic to do? if so, how? Thanks in advance. :)

I was convinced it was a dude too. The boots, cap, clothes, build, everything :) I think she is.. 30-40 years old.

There are 2 smudges, the one on the right (those smudges are there, for being dirty windows) and the one next to the person. The thing I like about the smudge next to the person is that it appears that she (its a woman, I noticed later) wanted to look outside to see whats going on, which adds to the story. The 4 dots on the ground are from some pole-foundation, which might be too distracting indeed. And no, I did not know this woman. I was waiting for the train, and I get inside this building to wait and I see her. I thought it was a 13 year old metal-head because I heard music coming from it quite clearly, so I decided to photograph it because he/she wouldnt notice me at all :P Thanks everyone.

Wow. First of all, I never thought I would get this much support, ever. My goal was to reach the top 3, and the next time I watch it ranks at 1 which wasnt my intention at all. To those who didnt vote yet.. Vote for the entry you like most. That also explains why Polls cant be trusted when outer-sources decide what happens to which entry. Contests like that should be judged by judges, which is the case in most contests at Deviantart.

WHAT :mrgreen: There hasnt been a rule about that.. I am allowed to ask people for a vote, like Obama did.. right? and another WHAT because I suddenly rank first.
