The Christmas Photography Challenge!

 

 

We need an end of year photography challenge!

 

 

 

Basically, the photographers of The Gallery have been in a bit of a slump. So i'm planning a photography challenge. The theme is "Christmas" and you need to take a photo of anything 'Christmassy'. That includes anything in that range.

 

 

 

There will be two sections:

 

Non-Edited

 

Edited

 

 

 

That means something Manipulated or Not.

 

 

 

Non-Manipulation = Photographs taken with a film or a digital camera featuring a minimal amount of colour and exposure adjustment.

 

Manipulation = Photo manipulations are images that have been composed of two or more photographic elements to create something new.

 

 

 

The Rules:

 

1. Everything has too be your own. That means any photos, manipulated or not, have to be yours.

 

2. When you submit a photo, make sure you say what category it is in.

 

3. No mroe than one photo is too be submitted for each category.

 

4. And (cliche or not) have fun!

 

 

 

How to Vote:

 

Basically you can vote twice, in the sections Edited and Unedited. And you can't vote for yourself. So start again D:. I'll chuck that in the beginning page.

The Prize:

 

A Custom Under-banner, and badge which says "Tif Photographer of the Year."

 

 

The Deadline:

 

The 20th of December. That will leave 5 days for judging.

1) because I always enter in Tip.it photography contests and

 

2) because I still have to make a macro for this winter competition at Deviantart.

 

 

 

I dont think I will enter a macro at this competition though, but who knows.

I sure as hell hope that it snows around here, thats as about christmassy as I can go.

I need to come across a camera and have it snow in the next 17 days for this to happen. So probably a no, but if I do I'll enter something.

What a great idea! It's nice to see more photography-related contests :) Hopefully I can put something together in time :D

Does it have to be Christmas or can it just be wintery... Actually what I had in mind wasn't really wintery either... Put me down for maybe. If I can find a nice enough thing to take a picture of.

It snows everywhere else but here. I'll probably have to travel out of town but it's all in the name of photography!
