  1. omg horsing!!111 . . . . .... Anyways, a Sailing skill has no potential in RuneScape(At least not until the world map is complete so you wouldn't sail to places you shouldn't be.) and would be a far too slow method of transportation. There are hundreds of skills Jagex is more likely to add before Sailing, such as: Bard/Music, Gunslinging, Engineering, Renown, etc..
  2. I think it's clear this thread can be locked now. :
  3. I only checked the requirements for Master and Experienced quests, so the levels required might be a little higher. But based on the requirements I did check you need AT LEAST(Not including high combat required to beat some bosses in several of the quests) 6,769,491 experience. If I was to add in decent combat level(Ie. 75 Attack, 75 Defence, 75 Strength, 75 Hitpoints[1,210,421xp each]) it would come out to around 10,850,781. So you need slightly less experience(Possibly more depending on combat level required) to get a quest cape than a level 99(13,034,431) skillcape, but you do need to level up several harder skills overall and spend more time doing quests(Even with walkthroughs it would still take a long time to do every quest.). With these calculations I'd say getting the quest cape is harder than getting the majority of the skill capes and takes longer, but it's still much less boring to get a quest cape than a skill cape. Attack - 40(37,224) Defence - 65(449,428) Strength - 60(273,742) Hitpoints Ranged - 60(273,742) Prayer - 50(101,333) Magic - 66(496,254) Cooking - 70(737,627) Woodcutting - 72(899,257) Fletching - 50(101,333) Fishing - 62(333,804) Firemaking - 51(111,945) Crafting - 66(496,254) Smithing - 69(668,051) Mining - 60(273,742) Herblore - 57(203,254) Agility - 60(273,742) Thieving - 63(368,599) Slayer - 59(247,886) Farming - 53(136,594) Runecraft - 50(101,333) Hunter - 48(83,014) Construction - 50(101,333) Summoning
  4. Do you really have to ask why people hate RuneScape riots? They accomplish absolutely NOTHING AT ALL, and they disrupt gameplay for normal players that don't work for Jagex. Not to mention riots are almost always about stupid things that the majority of RuneScape players simply don't care about. Nothing has been accomplished on RuneScape by rioting. The only way players have gotten Jagex to change things is by posting it in the forums in a MATURE fashion(Not spamming the forums.) Jagex is also 80% more likely to see a thread on the forums than some stupid spamfest ingame.
  5. About the orange dots.... This doesn't entirely dismiss the fact that orange dots might be real. The orange dots were all above supposedly "wild" summoning monsters. What if you have to make a contract with a monster first before you can summon it, and all these wild summoning monsters appear as orange. Yet yellow ones are the tamed ones. We'll have to wait and see I suppose. There are only a couple days until summoning is released.
  6. There are some gold-farmer sympathizers in this thread that don't understand something. ALL(Yes I mean ALL. I am not exagerating.) Gold farmers use STOLEN credit cards to pay for their accounts. When the person with the stolen credit card realises that their money is being charged to something without their permission Jagex must spend time and resources to return the money. However that's not where it ends. Jagex ends up paying additional money to refund people that had their credit cards stolen. So they aren't "not making a profit"(As someone said), they are actually LOSING money as a result. This is NO simple matter of video game money and items. It's real money, it's real theft. These are terrible people that run Gold-farming workshops. They aren't just selling virtual items they don't own(It's like making an illegal copy of a DVD and selling the copy on the streets.), they're using innocent peoples money to do so.
  7. Unfair how? What exactly do you contribute to Jagex to justify you getting summoning? Pay up or stop whining. Hmm... Jagex just destroyed everything that was good in F2P... Jagex gave F2P the duel arena..
  8. I was laughing my head off while reading that. I just wish I could of been there to see the expression on their faces when they read the announcement that they were all out of jobs. :) Yes I understand it's almost impossible to find work in China, but I'm not going to pity people that decide to commit crimes to make their money. All of the members accounts of gold farmers were payed for with credit fraud and stolen credit cards. So screw them! They deserved it.
  9. I think this thread could probably be locked. There's no reason to discuss Jagex's security measures. If Jagex wants to make sure all their pmods are trust worthy it's entirely between them and the player-mods/forum-mods. I don't see how non-mods really need to know about stuff that doesn't concern them in the slightest. There is nothing top-secret about this as this is far from new news, but there is no real reason for it to be disclosed publically. For the record, there are also no plans currently to give pmods any more powers. End of discussion.
  10. Apparently that image was actually made by a player and isn't actually real.
  11. Ah. Here's the image of the German one: It probably says "summoning" like the English one, except in German.
  12. Lets kill some penguins! Sure if you want to waste your time. Obviously there has to be a different way of getting penguin eggs. I assume some people have tried using spades in the snow by now.. So that can probably be crossed off as well.
  13. Ya I suppose we will have to wait another week.... Hopefully they give us readers letters or SOMETHING this week..
  14. EDIT: By the way. Clicking on the ad takes you to the "Members benefits" page. I think this confirms 1000000000% that it's members only(That and Paul saying it.). Incase by some chance the above image stops working here's a backup of the image at a different image provider: http://img293.imageshack.us/img293/2738 ... radaa6.png (It's the exact same image, don't bother clicking unless the above image isn't working for you.)
  15. Ah. Then this thread needs to be locked, and the thread maker banned. :)
  16. Did you make it or find it? Also where/how did you find it?
  17. The first recorded game of golf was in 1456. Although that isn't exactly medieval it doesn't really matter because RuneScape IS NOT MEDIEVAL. RuneScape is a fantasy game. Jagex has stated on several occations it's not realistic nor medieval. I can guarantee dwarfs weren't building trains to underground goblin cities in the midieval times. I can also guarantee there was no magic or dragons too. Same goes for dwarf cannons. However having a bone that you use to whack a ball into a hole seems MUCH more realistic.
  18. A year has passed, I think it's time to bump up my suggestion for some fresh opinions. :)
  19. Back when I started, before the time of Miniclip... Yes there were scammers and noobs, but there were a hundred times as many people that were willing to help out people and give them free items to get them started(Without as much begging involved.). After over a year of playing in this average game with a decent(but not perfect) community something odd happened.. The community turned completly rotten. The ammount of idiots increased incredibly, the majority of players became scammers, suddenly there was need for ingame player moderators! The once peaceful game with only the odd scammer or rule breaker - that could easily be taken aside by a Jagex Mod(Who just happened to always be nearby) and set on the correct path - was now a zest pool of Miniclip filth. Not too long after RuneScape became boring for most Miniclippers. It became ranked like #100 game on Miniclip. It's former #1 spot now replaced with Club Penguin. Now that Miniclippers have moved on from RuneScape(only leaving behind a few stragglers) I think RuneScape might finally grow into a slightly better community if only the players would stop skipping English class.
  20. This thread was stupid and still is. Do NOT bump threads that are over a year old!
  21. Blue Egg is an Owl... Green is a Parrot.. Red is some type of bird that I'm not really sure of.. Ever hear of Christmas? Very few people work on Christmas.. :D
  22. If all you care about s graphics then I suggest you buy yourself an xbox 360 and use that and don't play Runescape any more...... i agree with evil pig who cares about graphics I care about graphics....... But wait...... RuneScape actually has pretty good graphics. So I'm kind of at a loss to what the big deal is. These kids that were born in the age where PS2 graphics are considered bad.... It's kind of sad. I remember the SNES and N64, both of which had stunning graphics in my opinion(and at the time). Now RuneScape graphics might not be as "advanced" as graphics from Zelda: OoT and Majora's Mask, but I'd still call RuneScape graphics good in comparison to N64 graphics. Not to mention RuneScape is played in the browser with Java, and can be played by almost anyone(No matter how terrible your graphics card). Not too many Java based browser games have a 3D engine or support for 2000 people per server.
  23. Here is the most likely growth of vultures(Based on all the images/models I've found so far.): [hide][/hide] Although like I said earlier, I think the Vulture might actually transform into its cockatrice form somehow, insted of just growing into it..
