Two million feathers (2.9.2008) One million -> two million took 13 days. two million -> ten million is going to take 8*13=104 days ~ 3 months and two weeks But this wouldn't be possible without the continous support of Danqazmlp (#1) and Eagle tas (#2), and all the other people who have done smaller sales. They make this goal take 30 days less than what it'd take if I was on my own, if their tempo stays the same. Thank you! You can halp! Unlike most goals, this one can only be completed faster when there are more people contributing. Don't be afraid to pm me if you have feathers, I'll get to you as soon as I've knocked out the next KBD. Yesterday I did my first ever KBD trip (That's right, I had never killed His Highness before). It wasn't hard at all at my high levels: 99 ranged rips through his 0 range defence and ancient teles get me right next to his lair. The charm droprate isn't as impressive as I had thought, but the addy and rune drops are very generous. I'll post a picture if I ever get the heads or the visage. Preferably the latter. Are the new distractions any good? I'm most interested in the mining minigame, because mining is the biggest pain in the buttocks skill in rs. ;)

Pest control is the worst minigame in runescape. Even gnomeball couldn't bore me that much. Ugh. I hope I never get these crazy goals again. Not going back to pc. ever. 2M feathers tomorrow \ One week till English listening comprehension test.

gotta love 1 year+ teasers!
Maybe they had more important things to do? Like stop RWT and bring back proper pvp? And how could they finish the mourning series? What would be in West Ardougne after the mourner's left, what would be in their headquarters etc.

1 September 2008 - Behind the Scenes - September
Most looking forward to clan wars update. I hope there'd be castle wars- clan wars arena. You know, a clan wars arena that looks and works like castle wars. So you could play castle wars without noobs ruining it.

...page 4? \ It's already a page since I showed you those ancient pictures? And two weeks and I still haven't started telling my tale? Maybe it's time to have a change. Most blogs start with the author telling something about themselves. I haven't done that, I've only babled about feathers, without telling anything about me. If I'm ever going to tell about Perakp, and if I expect you to understand all the twists in the plot, I should first show who is the person behind him. So here it comes. [hide=Think twice if you really want to know]Hello, my name is Pera. I'm 17 years old, I come from Finland, and I've played runescape for four years. That says I was 13 when I started. Before Runescape I had mainly played old adventure games, for example the legendary Monkey Islands, Broken swords and other SCUMM- games. Runescape was my first MMORPG. I'm on my 3rd year in a highschool. I'm interested in all fields of science and also mathematics. I know English, Swedish and German, but am fluent only in English. I have matriculation examinations in English and Swedish this fall and in Finnish, German, math and physics next spring. I do orienteering and run often, as I quit playing football few years ago. I have given thought to starting again but there isn't a team for my agegroup. I've taught me the skill of drawing, but I can't find the inspiration to do it too often. I draw simple caricatures, for example I made a nice piece featuring my new headmaster last spring. I can't publish my work as many would find it inappropriate. I don't listen to music, and don't have any idols (except in Runescape). I don't believe in God and am not a member of any party. In a way I think I'm post-materialist, but I also support a bunch of other ideologies, but can't profess any of them. I'm going to vote when I turn 18.[/hide] Today I got 200 pc points and played two rounds castle wars. If some of you have wondered what's so fun in castle wars, I hope this picture clears things up a little. These people take castle wars veery seriously. It's not a clan but a group of people playing in a small world. We have these every weekend. \ I hope you understand how much that first sentence means to someone writing a blog. I took my setup from a guide somewhere here on tif. Thanks for your tips, I'll use those if I ever kill them again I'm looking forward to buying feathers from you.

Sara Sword dropping like a stone.
There are no guarantees that these items are going to go back up again, or even stop dropping. If I wasn't using my zgs I'd sell now so I could buy back millions lower next week. Any guestimates how low they'll go?

I calculated the time it would get 5M summoning xp with both methods. With old-school summoning training I would've spent a lot more time in making the money for shards and 2nd ingredients, talon beasts are cheap to make after you have the charms. At 30 talon charms/h, 100 crimson charms/h and at the moneymaking speed of 500k/h and pouch crafting speed of ~1.5k/h, talon beasts were the better option. If I had infinite money I wouldn't be looking for these cheap alternatives. Making talon beasts requires much less money than old-school summoning training. I came up with a new plan to get charms easily. TSG had a nice KBD soloing guide and it told I could profit, get ~80 crimsons/h AND have a chance of getting the visage. I only need to get full pc robes first. :wall: Got 100 points today, 750 points to go. Here is a level I got yesterday: Is training with a pyrelord faster than training with a tinderbox? It took a little longer to light a full inv of logs, but it gives 10xp more per log...

Cultrally diverse
Do you take your shoes off when entering your or someone else's home? We do. I think cultural differences are much smaller nowadays than they were 10, 50 or 100 years ago.

Spirit Coba vs Stranger Plant
Also, Stranger Plants don't use Strange Fruit as secondary. Rather any 'Bagged Plant' (be it 1,2,3) from the Gardener in Falador Park. Seeing these start at 1K ea, I seriously wouldn't recommend them. Snake hides are worth 2k. Stranger plants are better.

It's official, my brother is a moron
You should've turned the other cheek, and prayed. But my sister is unofficially an idiot aswell. Not that I'd have anything against idiots, they are generally very nice people to laugh at. Unless they hit you with a hot spoon.

^.^ indeed Has running around and stressing over a few campfires ever been this fun? I placed logs to all of them yesterday and today I got a connection lost when I had set five of them on fire already... -.- I'm glad I won't have to do it again. Untill 92 firemaking. Calculated yesterday that I have enough charms for lvl 80 summoning. Add two prayer levels to that and I'd be 134cmb. Tempting.

August 26th 2008 - All Fired Up
It's a permanent level so it's worth it. Using it doesn't get you many logs because you burn them instantly  Is the burning rate same with all tree types? Can I get the inferno before 92fm?

A charming failure This happens when you get too excited. You supposedly find out something new and revolutionary, but are quickly pulled back to have your feet steadily on the ground. Five days ago I read about a new mysterious summoning training method. Someone had suggested talon beast charms, as they are the 2nd ingredient for the pouch that gives the most summoning xp when it's made. I rushed to tell that they are a pain to get in large quantities and therefore can't give good xp in the long run. I have had a lot of experience with the temple trekking minigame. I used to play it a lot before I got full lumberjack. I knew how hawt talon beast charms were. The problem with getting them is that the other events waste your time so much, especially the bog. It takes minutes to pass it and evading it takes you to the middle of the Mortmyre swamp. This is where I remembered the slayer ring. I could easily teleport from the bog, run to Salve and get a new Forrester to be escorted. This way I could possibly get talon beast charms much faster than earlier. I had only enough slayer points to buy one slayer ring. I took the best gear I could think of, used all the trekking tricks I knew, and could get about 30 charms per hour. This was epic, I thought. I did the calculations and was sure that this would get me faster summoning xp than killing waterfiends for charms. The ring didn't last long. I had no slayer points left. I needed to get more talon beast charms and I wanted to get more of them as fast as possible. So I contacted Mazchna and 'farmed' the points, getting every 10th assigment from Duradel. Getting the 300 points only took me two days. Today I tried my self-crafted slayer rings. After an hour it was certain that I had been very lucky earlier. I had trouble getting 15 charms in that time. :wall: Do I really have to kill waterfiends if I want to train summoning? Atleast I got a few hundred silver bars and pure ess from this little adventure. And now I have this: God bless the search button.

Had a skeletal wyvern (lvl-140) task today  I also hit a 57 with the mace :geek: (0-52-57-0 specs). Skeletal wyverns are weak against crush attacks, but d mace is the best one-handed crushing weapon, which shows again how much runescape's combat system fails. Why don't we have a one-handed crushing weapon that isn't slow, and could have atleast a theoretical chance to win a whipper? A common belief, that I also held this morning, is that skeletal wyverns are hard to kill or a wasted effort in the never-ending search for the Visage. I found out that I don't need to pray to kill them, that sharks are not needed and that the drops are worth it even if I never got the granite legs or the visage. Here is my setup, I could get ~23 kills per trip with it. Pray pots are for piety, lunar staff for teleporting to Mudskipper's point and I also had a terrorbird full of monkfish. Made a nice profit from pure ess and wyvern bones, and a hundred crimson charms.

Overlooked Training Spots
CT waterfiends lootsharing with a few friends + offensive summons > barbarian dungeon watefiends. Haven't tested it though

Revolutionary Summoning training method- Brainstorm
The situation where you find out some really good training/ money making method before anyone has written a guide about it is very rare. It doesn't mean you were the first one to learn the method, just that others have kept quiet about it. If you want to gain from it, you have to stay quiet too. If you want to be helpful to others, you should post full details to a fansite forum. Then after you've told others about it you can wait it to be ruined by others or nefred by jagex. What would you do?

Perakp's blog
=D> Great! Took me this long to figure out that tip.it forums aren't down as the mainsite is. :wall: Not that there'd be much to update: I've only slayed (black demons, nechryaels, abyssal demons and now abyssal demons again). If rune boots were worth 200k per pair as they used to be, I would've made over a million from the nech task: 4 pairs + rune larges + chains. Soon I'll have to sell my ZGS if I want to enlargen my collection, but that's ok... Then I'll have money to do some skilling. Now my budget is restricted to the ~5M gp sitting in my bank and the ~4M gp that are buying me feathers from GE. This blog reached its first one thousand views this week. Any guesses how many feathers I'll have at 2k?

Kinda hard to train hunter when..
I believe we have captured the good Molly instead of the evil, have you ever seen the evil smile on her face? But yes, it happens, nothing you can do to help it. Just bring enough traps when you go there so you don't have to quit after the first random. Dr Jekyl is very annoying at aggressive metal dragons.
-
Revolutionary Summoning training method- Brainstorm
Talon beast charms arent that fast to get because of the "puzzle" events (bog, bridge, river) if you run from them you are left in the swamp and have to run to Salve. You also have to get the crimsons to make the pouches. I believe talons are slightly slower than waterfiends: not good.

PK Anywhere: A Skiller's Dream Come True
Option two is more probably right. Should we start speculating how much these items are going to go up in price? [*:rapm1gl3]Barrows: ahrim's, dharok's, verac's, torag's [*:rapm1gl3]Slayer: dark bow, whip, dragon and rune boots [*:rapm1gl3]GWD: Godswords, bandos armor, maybe even armadyl? [*:rapm1gl3]Consumables: super sets, prayer and restore potions, sare brews, sharks, swordfish, combat runes [*:rapm1gl3]Useful pvp summoning pouches and scrolls: bunyip, unicorn, titans [*:rapm1gl3]F2P pking equipment: full rune, green d'hide sets, addy arrows, power amulets (lol) I think barrows, slayer and gwd items will go up even as much as 10-20%

One Million Feathers I'd like to get more permanent feathers sellers for the following nine million feathers, please  It's not like you're losing anything other than a ge slot, so if you have spare coins hiding in your bank, make some use of them! If you aren't going to do anything with them, you could just aswell buy feathers! Duradel Black demons again though :-# - Back to doing homework ->
