  1. Well, Militaris probably suggested a better amount than I did, it is pretty hard to grow a tree from a seed. Not impossible though, just do a lot to even out the odds. To put in perspective, there is a hillside on our property that used to be pasture (for cows) and was completely open. We wanted it to be covered in trees, so we bought them bulk. 200 of them for I think $20. They were about 6 inches tall already. 7 years later 15 of them are growing. 15/200 and that isn't even from seeds, that is from trees that were already 6" tall. That was what was expected though (well, hoping for a little more). Just saying all this so you don't get discouraged if you fail, just keep trying and it will work eventually.
  2. You are [bleep]ing annoying.
  3. Technically the hospital I was born in is Cincinnati, Ohio. But I am a Hoosier (Indiana, born and raised).
  4. Blazing Saddles - Pretty funny the first time through, not quite as good the second. It's still good, but much like all of Mel Brook's other movies I've seen it doesn't have much replay value. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - Unlike the movie mentioned above, this one has a lot of replay value. Sure, not quite as good the fifth time through as the first time, but still awesome. Spider-Man 3 - Wrote a review in the topic for this, ended on a "much better than expectations note" but there was a good amount of the movie that I was thinking it was going to be much, much worse. "Firefly" and then Serenity - I don't know why I do this to myself. I tried and I tried not to watch it, but I just couldn't help myself. I really should have someone hide my DVDs of this so that I can't watch them, for say a year. It kills me more every time I watch them. Firstly, because this is the fourth time through for the whole series, and I don't want to "get sick of them." Secondly after it is over I feel an unhealthy amount of anger that there isn't anymore to watch. I can't even put it into words, you just have to experience it.
  5. I get up at 8:00 in the morning on the days I sleep in :P .
  6. It's OK now, I thought episodes 7+8 were the high point of the show (or 6 and 7). This last episode (13, or episode 1 of season 2) didn't pay off until the very last two minutes or so, and it was a pretty long episode. About halfway through I was ready to give up on the series completely, a few mediocre episodes (one bad one) and I didn't think it would ever get better again, figured it was past it's time. I'll probably continue watching it though, I did order the DVD+CD of season 1.
  7. I was ready to be disappointed after reading all of your reviews. After looking for a seat in a theater packed full of kids that were very rowdy, I was even more expecting to not enjoy this. After the first hour or so of not all that great (not bad though) of a movie, I was pretty much at the bottom of the barrel for expectations. For some reason though it just started to get better, and better, and better. I was pretty damned happy with it by the end. Don't know if I like it as much as the others, but I did like it.
  8. If you start from a seed you are going to want to start 5 or 6 of them, and if you are lucky one will grow.
  9. You don't have to sign up on the internet site if you don't want to. It extends your warranty 90 days and you get 3 free issues of Nintendo Power.
  10. about:blank Also I think this belongs in T&C, but am not positive.
  11. I don't really know much about them, just what I have seen from personal experience. I have to mow around and under one at work, and it is absolute hell. Other things I said was just random things I knew about it. I'll see what I can find on google. EDIT: OK, the type I am talking about is a "Weeping Willow Tree." Apparently there are a few different kinds. I couldn't find (didn't look too hard, just search google and you may find something with a little digging) anything about how to plant the seeds, but I do know a little bit about planting trees. I have planted a good 50 or so trees around my property, and I never have planted a seed. We always go to a nursery, and buy a 3ft-6ft tall tree and plant that. People at the nursery will give you any extra information you need.
  12. Cinco de Mayo is a fairly big day, wasn't quite sure exactly what it was until I looked it up. Mostly I just knew it as the day Spanish classes in high school had a party.
  13. Plant near water, or in a place that is wet a lot. Also they don't really stand "erect", they are pretty droopy. Make sure you don't have to mow under it, since the branches droop down so much they touch the ground.
  14. lol at you thinking you are smarter than everyone else. I said it on the first page, the fifth post. About 3 out of every 4 posts since have also said it. It is by no means a hard concept to understand.
  15. lol. How far up your [wagon] did you have to reach to pull out that number? The budget was $258 million.
  16. The difference between Pop-punk and Punk is highly debatable, so I would probably just leave it as Punk, and not separate it. You are going to get people complaining (like I did above) about Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, ect. being in the same category as the great bands like Bad Religion, but I think this would be the best way to do it. Of course it is up to you in the end.
  17. Uh, remember those who have died during the World War II here in Holland. Also: 1970
  18. Punk is Punk rock, I don't understand why you have it listed twice. You could separate Punk into Punk and Pop-punk (keep Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182 away from being in the same list as Bad Religion) but just one category would be good enough.
  19. Sure he didn't need to shoot off the gun, that was a little excessive. But it was right of him to keep the people there anyway possible, for the police to come pick them up. They assaulted a man over a parking space. If they want to settle disagreements like animals, they should be treated like animals. Shooting straight up in the air isn't all that safe either. In rural areas it's not that big of a deal, might be a bigger deal in a suburban area. A bullet falling from the air won't have as much force as coming from the gun because there is a certain velocity that a falling object can get up to and it is less. Still, it is enough to kill someone. When talking about gun safety with my dad while shooting he always told me to keep the gun pointed up in case it accidentally went off, we live in a pretty rural area so there weren't many worries about it falling and hitting someone.
  20. Yep, took about half an hour for it to register. Still don't know why it says 3 members when we are the only two.
  21. Well a camera taking standard visible light spectrum pictures would just show a black circle, the only way you could tell is by objects surrounding it.
  22. I think it worked, probably needs time to update though. When I clicked on the link it said two members, but just listed you. I just joined, and it still only says two members, and still just lists you. If nothing registers by tomorrow I will try again.
  23. Go for it, I don't know how teams work.
  24. I only have 8,500 worth of credit so far for Einstein, I think I'll start Folding one of these days. Are you on a team? We could make a TIF team for Folding, Einstein, SETI, whichever one.
  25. Duke sucks. /Farker and read Tucker Max.
