  1. Yeah, I really wish Jagex would do somthing about theiving. There is nothing really worth the time to theive... gems, silver, fur, cakes? lol? You know, those thing might have been good money back in RSC, but now that the cost of money is lower in RS2 and there are lots of ways to make money that are much easier and much more profitable, none of those things are really worth it. The bloodrune chests were REALLY good for profit back in the days of RSC, but now bloodrunes are MUCH cheaper, and now the bloody blood rune chests teleport you out evertime you theive from them. I like to train on the ogres down there, but I don't even waste my time with the chests even when I am down there because the couple of bloods aren't worth the walk back down there. I think it would be nice if Jagex would add some thing in there that were a little more profitable, like being able to rob banks (not other players' items, of course) at high levels, mabye even a bit of bulgary for some nice $, you know, things that are a bit more criminal, not just being petty pickpockets even at high levels
  2. When I first became a member, I was in lumby, and I remember the fist thing I did was go pickpocketing men and cutting arrow shafts to get some of my members skills up. And then somthing about theiving 1k cakes from ardy...
  3. I really doubt an update this small could be what they have been working on all of the last week or two... they'll probally release the next update later today or tommorow. If not then they probally have somthing big planned for next week. Ya never know
  4. The thing about that is... losing items is the entire point of dieing. Its nice that some people do return items, but it really shouldn't be expected. And I for one probably wouldn't return the items. Thats even considering whether I pick the stuff up, because I wont pick up plain old junk. The only exception would be for friends. If a friend dies, yeah... I would most definitly get what I could (if not all of it) and see to it that it was returned. Otherwise... anything that hits the floor and becomes visible is fair game to me. I wouldn't expect anyone to do it for me (unless they were a friend) so I definitly wouldn't do it for anyone else. And with that said... I don't think I've died and lost anything since my RSC days (at least on the main). So my track record is doing well in that respect. I think if more people start helping others when they die... they will become too dependent of total strangers, which will only lead to a big disappointment when they get stabbed in the back (and knowing this community, they will). And like I probably said before, it defeats the purpose of dieing. For once I agree with you in every respect of your post. When you die and loose your items, it's nobody's fault but your own. Sure something unexpected might happen, but if you don't want to loose your items you better be expecting the unexpected. You know some random events are deadly; therefore it isn't very wise to turn away from the screen for more than 20 seconds without either a)logging out or b)banking any stuff you don't want to loose. And, another rule is to not take any items into a situation where you might loose it. For example; it is NOT smart to wear Phats while combat training unless you are confident in your skills and will be alert at all times. And if it's a situation like metal dragons and you're using prayer, you're just asking to loose your prized phat. If you for even a few seconds you let your prayer get turned off by it dwindling to nothing, you stand a very good chance of dying. And I won't even get into PKing with phats... it's just plain stupid, and you're BEGGING to loose it, not asking. So basically what I'm trying to say is that if you die, it's your own fault, and you alone will pay the price for it. Anything you drop is up for grabbs, and those who do end up with them are in no obligation to return your items. If you're friends with them, it's not a very nice thing NOT to return their items, and it could cost you a friendship, but if you pick up somthing from the corpse of a complete stranger you stand to loose nothing, only gain. And like Y2G said, if too many people actually do return stuff people will be too reliant on the community for help and they will in turn be less careful with their items, and when they die, loose their items, and someone keeps it and won't give it back, they will be all the more upset, and mabye even try to blame their loss on the other person instead of taking responsibility for their own mistakes and learning from them.
  5. Oh boy... do I ever have a story for you! This isn't exactly about a friend putting me down; it is about my IRL friend that kept lying to me about aspects of the game after he introduced me to it, by telling rediculously tall tales. Being a noob, I actually believed him on every single one of them  Some examples: he told me that he went to level 99 wilderness and found himself owned by several KBDs. Being a curious fellow, I checked it out for myself. I WAS a member at the time. So I proceeded to the end of the wilderness... at level 65 (or 56, whichever). He told me that there were stronger monster along the way... there weren't very many strong monsters at all, just scorpions. I was really mad, and I doubted this "King Black Dragon" even existed. I later found out that he did, but there was only one of them. Another he told me was how he managed to kill a dragon... with means that are completely unrealistic. He said he shot arrows into the dragon, adn then lit them with a tinderbox and caught the dragon ablaze. Talk about bad liars? I later tried ranging myself, and all that happened was little green asterisks came out of me and did damage (back in RSC). And one when RS2 first came out... he told me he explored the KBD lair. He told me some PRETTY tall tales about that. He said that he and group of 40+ people went into the lair and there were lots of black dragons at the enterance of the cavern, and there was a locked gate blocking the enterance to the KBD's lair. Near the gate were Black Dragon Tyrants, which were much stronger than normal black dragons. They drop the key to the gate. Then he said that they went in and all got owned by the KBD because he was ludicrously strong. He said he was level 500... OMG. And the biggest, ginomours whopper he ever told me was about how a group of adventurers slew Zamorak himself. I don't remember how exactly it went, but he said Zamorak looked kind of like a lion with red glowing eyes standing upright, and he casted spells like iban blast, fire wave, and flames of Zamorak. He said that everyone there died but one person, and that Zamorak dropped a D2H and zamorak fur... lol  And that sad part is that I believed all of these rediculous fictions. I guess it wasn't my fault because I had little to no knowledge of the game at the time (except for the time when RS2 came out). Now that I know all of these stories (and many others he told me...) were all lies I don't give him as much respect now, because he told these tales to impress me. Now he is still around level 50, and he just recently got his first set of full rune, and I'm level 91 and have full torags + whip. Ok, that was a bit long of a story, but I've always wanted to tell someone about that... so... has your friend told you some whacky stories lately?
  6. Yeah, and seers ring even better... ROW is pointless prettymuch :?
  7. Multicombat + wild + insanely strong monster that drops expensive dragon item = chaos. I bet the second the update comes out DI will have a massive PKing trip  (Obviously it will be in members section of the wild... so you can get attacked by someone 50+ levels higher than you  ).
  8. I just got my bones to peaches and I have to say, my results are strikingly similar to yours. (But all I have are approximates) ~875 nats for 300 alch points (I often used the free nat bonus) ~350 laws for 200 telekenetic points (Often tellyed out so I could use less expensive mazes) ~130 nats for 200 graveyard points (Had like 20 inv slots avalible most of the time) ~800 cosmics for 2000 enchant points (Most of the time I was able to grab all 6 dragonstones in a "wave" and enchant for 8 pizazz each. Each wave came every 10 switches or so. I probally used more cosmics because you most likely were using dragon/onyx enchant - I was using diamond enchant. Which is also why I think the creator of this thread should take into account what spell you are using, and the bonus you get for enchanting 10 shapes [appears to be 2 for saph, 3 for emmy, 4 for ruby, 5 for diamond, 6 for dragon, 7 for onyx]). So my results were 0.343 alch pizazz = 1 nat 0.571 telekenetic pizazz = 1 law 1.538 graveyard pizazz = 1 nat 2.5 enchantment pizazz = 1 cosmic
  9. In my opinion they will probally add somthing to where when you throw the pie, they get custard or somthing all over the front of their screen temporarily 'blinding' them. Possibly if they released somthing like this they could also release a blind spell or smoke gernade... now THAT would be useful. Or possibly it stuns the opponent for a few seconds giving you time to catch up and attack them.
  10. You fail to realize that those countermeasures against autoers have little effect. While barring alching in the duel arena inhibits some of the type 1 macroers trying to cheatingly get their mage level up; it has no effect on type 2s which just want cash to sell for real world $. And alot of these new random events can easily be circumvented by these autoers. From what I've heard, the program notifies the person operating it by an audio sound letting them know they got a mime or other costume random, and just completes the frog one by itself. And then it just automatically runs away to a safe place once it sees that it is being attacked via an audio detection system. Yes, such high-tech macroing programs DO exist. But, like the poster said, Jagex COULD easily track down these macroing bots' mains. But usually they don't. And those 15k that were banned weren't a very significant part of the macroing community as far as I can tell. One day I sat in the fishing guild reporting all the macroers I could see, and since someone on these forums was predicting that there could possibly be an RS2 ban I made a list of 25 of them. After the ban, only 5 of the accounts on that list no longer appeared on the highscores. Only 20% of the ones I had written down. And who's to say my sample is entirely accurate? It could be even less. And like the poster suggested, they said they banned 15k RS2 accounts, not 15k MEMBERS accounts. For all we know, they sat at the rune essence in world 1 varrock picking off these little level 3 accounts mining essence... which are all too easy to replace (do tutorial island, rune mysteries... DONE!).
  11. Metal drags are one of them. I don't have the money to invest in loads of prayer potions for a slayer assignment... although the drops might be promising, it's not worth the time you could have spent doing many other slayer assignments :? Crocodiles are also another hated assignment by me. The combination of tiny ammounts of them scattered across the river, not to mention in the DESERT make is too time consuming. Burthoped right away. And hope to hell I don't get another one from him (can you?) Any other tasks that involve monsterously strong monsters that cannot be hallyd/ranged/maged are also on my burhope list, aswell as any that are just a plain waste of time, like crocodiles. Hellhounds are no problem; there are lots of them down in the Ardougne Family Crest dungeun, and also pleanty of safespots. Black demons are a little harder due to location, but I have no problem making the walk through tavery dungeun past the blues to them, and there are a few safespots. I just love fire giants. Although they take forever to range, at least i'm geting optimum range xp + the slayer too. I know this is a little offtopic, buy my favorite slayer assignment by far is dagganoths. They are very good training, and since they drop small bones I can stay there as long as my nature rune supply lasts (bones to peaches)... which is almost forever :)
  12. That's a very good point, and it isn't even taking into account the +10 ranged bonus the toktz-ket-xil has. Toktz-ket-xil FTW! :D ...And BTW, as a side note; in terms of fashion, I would take Toktz-ket-xil anyday over D square. It looks a lot cooler with my abbysal whip than D square ever could.
  13. Yews FTW
  14. lmao! the drag pl8 will b about one of the dragon items that comes out in like 5 years! there never will be draon plate mail, full helm or kite. coz there is med, square and chain. read the varrock stories to work out why on the runescape website Well, I never did think there was going to be a dragon body armour or legs when I left for a year after RS2 came out due to being hacked, but when I came back I was pleasantly surprised  So, you never know. It could happen, there is no reason to say never when you can't be sure of it.
  15. I think the dirty lowdown scammers would rather stick to using d leg notes and red dhide notes to scam. I had some noob try that one on me while I was buying my D legs, and I didn't notice the change - until the second trade screen :P
  16. On that note; no, charging was never better than alching in terms of economics. I can actually make profit on the magic longbows i make an alch, whereas charging was EXTREMELY expensive - like 2k per cast
  17. I hate to break it to you, but there is already gold trimmed armour... wise old man devalued his sara (cept the plate which has the sara insignia on it) It would be really cool if they released gilded-god armour though :D
  18. Not always true. About a year ago I played a game called A Tale in the Desert. Pretty much everyone was nice, and that was about two years after its release. I came back a few weeks ago just to see how everything was doing; the people were still nice. But, the game is so complicated (mining in itself is complicated; you have to mine ores, and have to distinguish which minerals contain which metals, and then refine these minerals in a forge. And thats not the most complicated thing; making tools is extremely complex. you actually have to shape them with tools, and the more accurate you get it the better the tool is) , tedious, and sometimes downrigh boring and repetitive, that I definatly see why the immature little kiddies steer clear from it. In fact, that game is so boring in some of its apsects, everybody in the game auto's and the staff dosen't really care; it's not aganst the rules. I actually enjoyed it for about a year, but mainly because there were so many nice people to talk to. The boredom + mind numbing complications eventually got to me, though. RuneScape is like the average MMORPG. It is actually fun, and pretty simple in most of its aspects. So it attracts the bratty kids that beg for free stuff that we hate so much. The only way to drive them away is to make the game more complicated, and drive up the boredom factor.
  19. Jagex barely is releasing normal dragon armor let alone hop onto trimmed and let it be easyly obtained and with barrows i highly doubt they will ever release "full" dragon but people can dream about that, and no i dont think it will be d trim it was all as a joke as no1 really knows whats going to be released(lol d chain will be worth more than d chain t) How do you trim a chainbody anyway 0.o... let alone dragon chain. That one already has an insignia on the center, and cool looking shoulder plates with [bleep]es :) I personally think that it will have somthing to do with the 'pirate' theeme for the month. Possibly a peg leg, or somthing like that. Apart from that, there might be new god armours, mabye even a zaros set, since he IS pretty well known by now, by the ghostly stuff + ancient magicks. Other stuff might include new colors for existing treasure trail stuff like cavvys, berets, ect, mabye even white and red magic boots. And, possibly some new 'useless but cool' items. But, the chances of there being any dragon treasure trail items i'd say is about 0.01%. Not going to happen.
  20. And the monster is the only 1 that drop the weapon, unlike the kbd that does not drop a unique item. most likely this thing will cost millions over what it is worth in bonuses :P My point is is that Jagex needs to stop making dragon monster drop only. What that does is continue to blow it out of proportion. I have said it hundreds of times; somthing lower on the 'smithing table' (and general store prices) should NOT be allowed to have a market value higher than somthing higher on that table. (eg; Dragon chain 23 mil, D legs 2.5... yeah, makes a LOT of senese). And now Jagex seems to not really care about it anymore, because they aren't taking any steps to remedy the problem.
  21. Great... from the looks of it the Dragon 2H will be monster drop only, not to mention in wilderness areas, so it will be like 30+ mil when it first comes out
  22. Updated it based on some of the advice you gave me... is it better now? :)
  23. Don't dispair, you just need to invest a LOT more time into making the signature look good. My sig is my first ever pixel sig; or any sig for that matter; and I did it in MS paint. I also put about 5 hours of time into it, to make sure it looked as high-quality as possible.
  24. Ok, I updated it with some nice shading. I love it even more now. Rate please :)
  25. How do you shade in MS paint though :?: lol
