Bump. Nothing new to report, I'm afraid. 17/50k nats done so far, probably won't be able to work on much this coming week. -
Mhm, +1 to that, besides if you want more HP for a boss Jagex can do something like the KQ, possibly with more forms. Or... just make a boss with uber defense.
-
I happen to agree with these "low levels". You really are being a jerk... why flame low levels in boss rooms when they are probably going to die anyway? Once that happens they'll know for sure that they're too weak to be there without you telling them. And how exactly can they switch worlds when you get attacked by the bosses as soon as you enter the room? BTW, the people the the OP's example obviously didn't ask them nicely to leave. They immediately started flaming.
-
I do find it a little strange how these lower levels who claim to have a lot of experience from reading guides ignore the recommended levels... But hey, there's no reason to flame them, you know. If they want to go on a suicide mission to try something firsthand, let them. Yes RS is a competitive game, but how exactly are lower levels competing with you when they run into a situation that would put them in danger? If it seems at all funny to you, please, instead of making an [wagon] of yourself, laugh yourself sick in PMs, clan chat, or whatever.

Agreed. I've been called a noob like 5 times since I got level 100. And I'm 115 now. But before that I got called a noob a LOT. BTW, to the OP, I know those people can make you feel angry, but you have to try really hard to ignore them. Don't get discouraged by what they say, if anything, only get discouraged from doing things from actual failures. I remember back in RSC at combat level 49 doing dragon slayer. I came into the lair on crandor with my rune chain, legs, longsword, and anti-dragonbreath shield and the high levels training there started laughing at me saying I was going to die ect. ect... and I killed the stupid dragon. Had I died, I would have gotten discouraged and trained some more. But had I gotten discouraged by what they said, I would have been deprived of a quite satisfying victory. :)

+1 There are already many very good RuneScape fansites out there, like tip.it, why do we need another one?

Never happened to me; I'd be kind of happy if it did though lol. Most of my clues are rubbish (well actually all of them thusfar have been rubbish...) so that's just 10 less minutes of my time wasted.

Another RC level. I'll probally have 82 before I finish all of the ess. -
Wow, truly amazing achievement there =D> One of the few capes I get green eyes every time I see, grats :)

I agree, I really don't like the flaming. But there are some rants on this forum that are just pathetic. They don't need to be flamed though; flaming someone who is mad about something is just going to make them madder. You need to give them suggestions on how to get over it. And not in a superior, sarcastic way, either.

woot finally fixed my computer now I don't have to worry about it crashing  -
w00t :D Problem appears to be solved. Pulled the bad one on the first try, and since I turned it back on I haven't had any problems. Even tried doing everything that had problems before at the same time. Also the memtest thing now reports 0 errors. Although my computer seems to be running a bit slow with only 500 MB of ram. RS seems to have less lag now, though. And no crashing.

BUMP Oh yeah, and I finally joined the black cav club :P I bought 50k more ess for 4.85M. After I craft that I PROMISE I'll go back to my slayer goal  -
Hope this one is okay Any problems and I'll re-take Edit: Wait, am I already one there? Didn't think I was because I'm not listed, but that one one row up, fourth from the right looks kinda like my old outfit :-k
-
Ran the test... but it seemed like it kept resetting itself, because when I went to bed it was at 50% but then when I got up it was back at 22%... anyway, I went into the error summary and this is what it said: Test 0: Errors: 0 Test 1: Errors: 33 Test 2: Errors: 19478 Test 3: Errors: 2141 Test 4: Errors: Test 5: Errors: 26785 Test 6: Errors: 21834 Test 7: Errors: 4396 Test 8: Errors: 4388 Test 9: Errors: 0 The total it came up with was 385024 errors. I think that was because it kept resetting itself... I dunno.

Thank you, but I don't let the lack of support go to my head too much. Okay, the turnout at the "party" got to me a little, but the lack of posts is just what blogscape has become: a place where people come to worship all of the skiller gods and ignore the rest. Look around the blogs of some of the lesser known people, most of the posts are from the person who created the blog. I did get quite a lot of posts on my 99 FM thread though (probably more than I have gotten on this blog to date...), so that made me feel a little better about that. I really disagree with you. Besides a few exception, blogscape has become a popularity contest, the one with the most friends here wins. You see certain groups of people constantly posting on the blogs of the people of their own group. People don't look at the blog or the goal itself any more, it's all about the maker of the blog. But ofcourse there have to be not popular blogs which have to die out. Otherwise there will be waaay too many blogs (there actually are already too many IMO). Yes that statement was a bit of an exaggeration now that I think about it... I actually do agree with you; it's a popularity contest. But if you notice, people with 2000+ total or are rich tend to get more posts than people without. Anyway, having said that, posts aren't actually that important to me. Documenting my progress is. Regardless of weather I get outside encouragement, broadcasting myself any my goals helps me to stick to said goals. It gives me a sense of duty to those goals, so I won't in my own weakness get bored and abandon them. -
Yeah, I don't mind them being aggressive, but it seems that these NPCs are 5x more aggressive than others. They agro from like 6 squares away, vs. greaters who only start to chase you when you're 2-3 away. It's especially irritating when I click attack on a greater, I instead dance around a bit with the greater..... and a dog attacks me. I say 'omfg' like 5 times every time I do greaters there... and I swear up a storm when bob teles me out after 15 minutes of being there.

Ectophial is the one click tele I use in case of pkers/if I forget my glory. That pot is a sara brew which will both heal me and bring me up to lvl 108 def; a just-in-case for if a PKer manages to tb and entangle me. -
Oh joy. I conveniently got a BSOD while I was reading this thread  This is the first line: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

That's what happens when you make a skill too easy to train. People start demanding the raw materials so they can get the 99, and the end product ends up with a huge oversupply. Supply and demand dictates that large supply and unchanged demand will result in lower prices, and high demand and unchanged supply will result in higher prices for the materials. Fortunately, RuneCrafting is too much of a difficult skill to train to 99 for many people to go for that level. Yes a year or more ago before pure ess the profit margin was 260 per ess, and now it's 200, but that was soley because of the update. Since then pure ess has remained stable at around 100 gp each, and nats around 300 each.

Jagex jagex jagex...They got it worng? Again?
Peronix replied to sirgudi's topic in General Discussion
Becouse autoers have the utmost respect for jagex rules right?  Worst post ive ever seen... ever. I think he meant they could do it without Jagex being alerted to suspicious behavior. If it wasn't a rule they wouldn't be looking for people doing it to ban them. You obviously don't browse the forums much if that's the worst you've seen... But they dont get cought doing it, autoers do it daily regardless of the rules, and if you look at my post count its pretty damned obvious i browse the forums often. Do you know how many trades go on in runescape every SECOND? if you think jagex is monitoring them all trying to catch autoers your sadly mistaken. Yes, they are. They have certain mechanics set in the game to flag unbalanced trades, and they look at those. I'm not stupid, I saw your post count, that was sarcasm. That was far from the stupidest post I've seen, I find it hard to believe that was the stupidest you've seen; I think you were just being a jerk. -

Doing it more for the 99 def, really. I want 85 though since it's a respected level to have. And BTW, abby demons are pretty decent training from what I've heard; they have decent drops besides the whip. 99 Def will be useful for when I abyss RC. Although I am ZMI'ing, I'm not made of money, I'll still need to abyss RC to afford the ess. I'll probally be too lazy to sell off the ZMI runes every 20k or so ess... -

There's the thinking I was waiting for in this thread. This rule isn't about the ramifications on the surface, but what it prevents below the obvious. Yes, I agree that on the surface it's a moronic rule- it's the player's items, nothing wrong with transfering the ownership back to themselves. But there are problems beyond that, one example being the above hypothesis. If people didn't suffer consequences for their bans, i.e. losing their items, how would the Runescape community react? Not very maturely, no doubt. In fact, to an extreme it could bring in-game chaos, with players breaking rules with no fear of losing any item of value, possibly resulting in the destroying ofany reputation Runescape still has left. Yah, don't think Jagex wants that. So everyone, I urge you to look beyond the surface, to think as the above player did- what is it about this rule, no matter how idiotic it may appear, that makes it necessary for Jagex to keep and enforce? True that, but isn't having to start over on a level 3 character a consequence? Really, if you want to go around breaking rules without fear of consequence, you can just start a level 3 character right now and if it gets banned it won't matter.
