Wow, ok scratch that, I did one of the more combat-heavy sequences and I maxed out at 62C.

maybe you are, but not all of us are under 16, and as far as them being "gods" just shows how in love with this game you really are... I'm pretty sure the former post was at least in part sarcastic... -

I agree. This rule is defiantly one that I resent. I spent my time and resources to make my main into a moneymaking machine, why can't I allocate my resources as I see fit? This is why I will never have a pure, because I refuse to sit there and pick flax for hours on end, or train skills up that my main already has. Couldn't have put it better myself. -
Idle was ~50C and while playing Half Life 2 it was 57C. On either one on the speedfan program showed a little flame thing... does that mean it's overheating?

1832/23 = 79.65 Wow close to 80, better get a few more levels. I know this dosen't count, but when I divided my total EXP by 23 I got 3.95m, which is almost level 87. The difference between the official average figure and this one would seem to indicate that there is quite an imbalance in my levels :-k

You can't beat RuneScape, or any other MMO for that matter. RS dosen't have a main storyline that culminates in a final conflict. You can be successful in RS for sure, but you can't beat it.

- DFS [Great defense, useful in many situations] - Full Guthan [Good for training and nothing else, but defiantly worth it] - Godsword [Not worth it unless you PK/Stake. Worthless for training] - Bandos Armor [Good stuff. Better than d chain legs/by far, and a str bonus] - 3rd Age Armor [bandos/DFS is better. Good if you like showing off] - Full Torag [Only the plate is useful. V skirt is better than T legs because same stats and a prayer bonus. Obviously the helm and hammers are useless] - Full Dharok [A cool set to have. Not necessarily useful unless you PK, but can be good for str training.] - Full Verac [Great for KQing and staking. It's cheap now so you might as well buy a set] - Full Ahrim [Good if you actually mage - I don't - but it's cheap anyway] - Whip [All around most useful weapon in the game. PKing, training, ect. And cheap.] - Full Karil [Top and bottom are very useful while slaying mage based monsters] - Dragon Boots [best str boots; very cheap, anyone who melees should own them] - Berserker Ring [Way too expensive to be worth it IMO. I'd rather use recoil for PK/Stake and life/wealth for slayer and training] - Warrior Ring [same as above, except not that expensive] - Infinity Boots [Great for monster-hunting mages, and for PKing if you are rich] - Fury [best amulet in the game by far, you should work your way up to buying one ASAP] - D Chain, Legs [Looks hawt, and best non-degradable armor if you're like me and can't afford Bandos] - Robin Hat [Worthless. My Z coif has almost as much range bonus as this thing. If you want better range bonus AND something that shows off more get an ayrmydl (sp?) hat] - Robin Boots [Much better than snakeskin boots, so this one actually might be worth the price] - 70 Prayer [Piety... nuff said :XD:] - 99 Range [A truly owange level. Good for monster hunting, PKing, Staking... but it isn't an easy level to get. If you plan to do any of those things and like range, go for it] - 94 Mage [Good for PKing. Nothing much else this is useful for, besides maybe a better chance of hitting rex on DK trips, or steel dragons]

No it's not a laptop, it is a desktop computer. I thought it was overheating the last time also, but the tech guy said that wasn't the problem; the motherboard was just bad, and he replaced it, and I have been problem free for about a month - until now.
-
I am really getting mad at my computer. -.- It can't have been more than 1 month after I had to have the motherboard replaced, and now the same sort of things seem to be happening all over again. For example: Java is giving me hell, like it was last time. RuneScape is randomly causing the browser to crash. Completely randomly. Not when I enter a specific area or anything, it could happen when I'm trying to log in or when I've been playing for an hour. And it seems to be happening more and more frequently. I've tried everything that the RS website suggests, and again, like last time, nothing seems to help in the slightest. I'm also beginning to have problems with firefox. It will randomly crash, and eventually just crash everytime I try to open it. Also have had the BSOD while playing Half Life 2, at least 4 times. Don't tell me the motherboard has gone bad ALREADY... Oh yeah, my computer specs. System: Microsoft Windows XP, Media Center Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 2 Sony Electronics Inc. VAIO Computer, IntelĀ® PentiumĀ® D CPU 3GHz 1 GB of RAM I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.8; it has no add-ons. I have the latest version of Java; version 6, update 3. I have also been keeping up-to-date with the automatic updates thing. I'm pretty sure I don't have any malicious software on my computer; unless this virus scanner (which Jagex recommended) is lying to me.

Should there be a Guaranteed poll for the Christmas Event?
Peronix replied to ThePie's topic in Questionnaires
No. If Jagex lists something childish on the poll then you can be guaranteed that one will receive the most votes. -
80 RuneCrafting
Peronix replied to Peronix's topic in Achievements (Drops, Bank Pictures and Levels)
Yeah, I know it can really get boring... that's why I'm rcing for a bit right now  But it's not a goal I'm intent on abandoning. I can't believe I didn't know that. *runs to dwarven mines* Thanks for the tip. :) Oh yeah, and I plan to ZMI my way to 91 after I get 85 slay. Although making ~400k nats would make me a lot of money, I did the calculations and the time ZMI would save me could be easily used with 91 RC to make up for the opportunity cost. -
80 RuneCrafting

All abyss crafting except ~3k ess at ZMI when I was trying it out. -
I agree, but they need to change the censor somewhat so that it replaces bad words with a single star. I've had so many four letter words censored that made it look like I was saying the f word... #-o Really embarrassing.

They may be noobs, but you're a bigger one. Especially if you actually die to them.

Thank you, but I don't let the lack of support go to my head too much. Okay, the turnout at the "party" got to me a little, but the lack of posts is just what blogscape has become: a place where people come to worship all of the skiller gods and ignore the rest. Look around the blogs of some of the lesser known people, most of the posts are from the person who created the blog. I did get quite a lot of posts on my 99 FM thread though (probably more than I have gotten on this blog to date...), so that made me feel a little better about that. -
Not the greatest achievement in the world, but I see this as a major milestone. I will be going for 91 after I complete my 85 slayer goal, btw.

ITs nice to see the Bot problem is being taken care of....

I would think that those are gold farmers. Remember how we all used to think that those green dragon killers were autos? -

I'm going to be runecrafting for a while. After I sold my 12k nats that I had I spent half of the resulting cash on 20k ess. When I get 8m from that I plan to buy 40k more and craft that, too. 85 slayer is a great level to have, but there are a few things I would like to have before I continue. Like a d chain -
[hide=quote train] And it only costs 104m more  Good point. :wall: Well, theoretically, it could replace Guthan's. Anyone who's rich and doesn't want defence exp/isn't 70 defence, it can replace guthans for them. :D [/hide] Well it being 110m is just the first putoff. If you get to low health and you don't have enough spec for a heal then you're going to wish you had guthans...

RuneScape's Reputation - What Is It Like For You?
Peronix replied to Skully's topic in General Discussion
I don't actually tell people about it. I used to talk about it with my friends, who are the ones who introduced me to it in the first place, but they don't play it anymore and the last few times I talked to them about it I got the distinct feeling that I was irritating them. Beyond them, I don't see a need to tell anyone I play it. Most people are stuck on graphics and are too immature to give it a shot, so why bother? And no, I can't afford WoW. I might give it a try when I get a job and a CC, but from playing the trial version for a week it didn't seem all that much more fun than RS. Just better graphics. -
Go read some moneymaking guides. Trust me, selling willows to the general store isn't going to make you much of anything. Get your woodcutting level up and chop yew trees, and sell the logs to other players for 350 gp each (i'm assuming you're f2p). It will take a long time to get 20m needed for a santa hat, but if you aren't patient enough then you don't deserve one. By the way, level 45 is not a decent level. I could start a new account right now, and have level 50+ in a day or two. This game isn't that hard anymore.
