Great idea! I've always wanted them to put an option to make attack the first option on higher level monsters/players, but this idea would be much simpler and easier to use.

Bump No posts since 93 fm = kind of depressing :( C'mon, gimme a post or two, everyone knows 95-97 of a skill goal is the hardest. Probably harder than getting to 92 and realizing you're only halfway. And firemaking is especially boring :wall: -

Got 95 Fm finally, this one sure took a while :? ...But don't worry, I'll get there even if I don't get it done this month. -
...Which are started by people who can't spell themselves. The op's spelling and grammar are obviously reprehensible, but what I find amazing is how many people begin to attack someone who reprimands the op for this and in the process makes an honest mistake. Not something like "omfg man ur grammer n' spelln are horribl", just one incorrect letter.

... Isn't it nice how superfluous threads about a common complaint always seem to end up in a flame war about spelling and grammar.

Is Tip.it harder to quit than Runescape itself?
Peronix replied to mrmyk's topic in General Discussion
No, no, he's right, the average Tip.iter isn't as sharp as he used to be :-w . Nor is the average 'Scaper. It's inevitable that as RuneScape grows more kids will join, and the average maturity level will decline; and the more kids you have on RS, the more you have searching Google for fansites and finding their way to this site. Since tip.it is a RuneScape forum the maturity level of people on the game is directly tied to that of this forum; though obviously since less people use tip.it than the RSOF the maturity level here is much higher. On topic, I think it is obviously harder to quit tip.it than RuneScape, because this forum provides a means to have serious discussions that couldn't otherwise happen in the game or on the RSOF because of Jagex's taboos and the huge ammount of spam. -
This seems similar to when some of the walls on the buildings in varrock in RS2 beta were clickable and examinable; they had names like 'wall1', 'wall2' ect. That's a weird name though...

Green Dragon for F2p!! Its not what You Think!
Peronix replied to chariot's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
No bones + hides. More reward in p2p, more risk. Less reward in f2p, less risk. Sounds about right to me. I guess I support :-k -
I got 10k hammers from shantey pass in under an hour by waiting for him to walk by the chest, trading him so he focuses on me, buying hammers, banking, trading... ect. So no, it isn't difficult. But to the author, like I said in the other thread you made about this, if you're really upset about your hammer collection being 'ruined', just suck it up and go buy 90k more.
-
And if Yew bots were wiped out, a lot of honest F2P players would take advantage of the price increase on yews to make some money, and the prices would eventually stabilize again. And also there would be many less 'people' at yew trees so it would actually be possible to cut yew trees. If you think about it, macroers are bloody inefficient, like using dynamite to fish. How many of the logs macroers cut that actually make it to market are a lot lower because Jagex is constantly banning autoers, sometimes with thousands of logs on them. Regardless, though, every log they actually cut makes it more difficult for a human yew cutter to collect them. If there were only human yew cutters, I think we'd have a lot more yews in the economy.
-
Sorry that your hammer collection has been devalued, like so many other collections, but you could always buy up 91k more of them to have an impressive stack of hammers :
-
I'm exactly the same way. And I just can't stand to wait for a bunch of people to show up so I can get my 99. Though I do talk in hyt chat sometimes.

2 October 2007 - Cutting Edge(ville) + shop improvement
Peronix replied to C110's topic in General Discussion
Ugh... I just went to grand tree hoping for infinite fruits, but not only is that not happening, but they don't stock 3 anymore when you trade them when they have zero of something. Getting more and more irritated the more nerfs like this I find -.- -
The Most Profitable Part Of The New Shop Update!
Peronix replied to Jacks0n's topic in General Discussion
Well, you do have to run back and forth to the shop so vials may end up being around 20-30 ea. -

No main stock for sharks. Only the very basic meat has infinite stock. -

nor do they sell seaweed.. I'm soooo annoyed! Same when I heard they didn't sell seaweed anymore I swore a few times. Glass making = useless again ftl? There goes the functionality of hand in the sand quest. Why can Jagex never have a really good update without some serious downsides? :( *sigh* Oh well, at least power ranging is cheap now. Bought 30k bronzes for 210k, good deal. -

Looks like there is no market for feathers anymore. Infinite stock at 6 ea. They went for what 5-7 gp ea on forums? I love the vials thing though. They were so overpriced from players. Now they cost the negligible sum they should. -
Login Pin + Screenshot Logger Protection -New RSOF Thread-
Peronix replied to Crimsoncow42's topic in RuneScape Suggestions
I support. I'd much rather enter my pin when I first login, anyway. Also this would provide security for items that you leave on your person when you logout somewhere like the bandit camp, or another long-term training spot. -
*sigh* For the last time... RuneScape uses a pRNG. It is NOT truly random! It is fairly random, but not even close to true randomness. I also have had many, many frogs. 60+, at least. I have 33 tokens, but I did drop around 15 a while back. But it seems recently that I have been getting many less frogs, and more mimes, freaky foresters ect.

Peronix replied to Peronix's topic in BlogScape (Ongoing Progress Reports and Goals)
Ugh... sorry I haven't updated my blog in the last few days. I haven't had much free time lately, what with school and all of the miscellaneous things that seem to come up on a near daily basis. Nothing new to report, unfortunately. Had barely enough time today to clear some stuff out of my bank (freed up 3 or so rows, man I had a lot of junk!), and do tears of Guthix. I did set a new personal best, though : -
Ever play duck hunt? Seriously, hunting with dogs doesn't necessarily imply cruelty. People have used hunting dogs for centuries, especially in the era RuneScape is set around, so IMO dogs would be more suited to RuneScape if they were implemented.

1 October 2007 - Behind the Scenes - October
Peronix replied to bored321's topic in General Discussion
October dosen't seem all that exciting. The update I think will be the best is the shop thing. I don't know how it will effect the market, but I do know it will be much more convenient now when buying wf vials at shilo, and other things like. The "bark is worse than its bite" does seem to imply that they might be adding dogs as pets, but then again it could just be Jagex teasing us because of all of the recent speculation surrounding the bulldog. -
Of course it isn't a total requirement. People use anything from blast, wave, to ancient spells at barrows. But yes, it is the wisest choice, because it seems to kill the brothers the fastest for the amount of runes it uses; you usually get more than enough deaths/minds from the chest to cover the amount used. I wouldn't recommend god spells, though. You don't get bloods nearly as often as deaths.
-
Easiest I'd say is Cold War because it dosen't require any quests, has low skill requirements and gives 5k agility exp. There are a lot of other easy ones, but some of those require other, harder quests.

If you're having trouble with lag, try using the recommended world. It will put you in a world that will lag the least for you (depending on your location). I lag on certain worlds, but almost never on the recommended world (except on update days). If you still have lag, it's your computer, not the server.
