  1. It is possible to get up to a certain level of 'ownage', but not nearly as high as in F/TPS games. There are certain people in RuneScape that are just brillaint at staking, pking, skilling, merchanting, ect., but there is only a certain level of skill involved, the rest is pure luck (and stats, which is nothing more than tons of time invested in grinding).
  2. I would love that. Anything that helps me complete slayer tasks faster is a welcome addition :) No offense, but I don't really care about PKing, because I've never PKd in P2P. Besides, I don't get why everyone worships the almighty combat triangle anyway. Why are some people so attatched to certain classes? Use whatever combo of the classes you need to win; and let Jagex worry about the balance issue. The triangle is already way out of whack anyway.
  3. Sandwitch lady. She constantly pops up when I'm fighting high level monsters... It's really hard to reply to her when I'm in the middle of combat #-o
  4. I'd say def is equal to attack and strength. None of those three is better than the other. A lot of pures say defense is worthless, but that isn't true at all. The more def I get, the less and less I get hit. Even one level makes a noticable difference. If it was worthless, I'd be a match for a level 126. I have 99 attack, yet I don't hit that often on a level 126, and he hits me. Why? Because he also has 99 attack, and has 15 more def levels. If 15 def levels can do that, I don't think the skill is worthless tbh...
  5. Well ok that's your opinion, so no problems... But excuse me? didn't "pureskull29" said so for all the f2p people out there please tell me why i should stay f2p? In that case there was no point from replying if you couldn't give a good answer/advice to "pureskull29". In that case this should go in help and advice; since as you say, it's not an open discussion. Anyway, here's how I see it: Pros: More challenge. I suppose you would save $5 a month. Not as many stuck-up high levels, mostly annoying low levels, which at times are more bearable. Cons: Not nearly as many features. No access to minigames of any sort. Virtually nothing new for months at a time. LOTS of autoers at yew trees.
  6. A few typos is certainly excusable, because I occasionally do it, but something like this will land someone on my ignore list: "wil u halp me pls". When it's on accident it's fine, but when they're obviously either doing it on purpose, or not putting much effort into it, it irritates me.
  7. For the love of god no. The delay we have now is bad enough... because of it, people are less willing to be polite and switch worlds when a training spot is full. It's the delay that causes people to be such jerkoffs at bandits. I for one wish they would REMOVE it.
  8. Rule 8's "no transferring items between accounts" clause. I completely understand why they wouldn't want you to be on multiple accounts at once. But can you tell me exactly how transferring items that YOU earned to another account is an 'unfair' advantage? It's not like RuneScape is a game where the gameplay is limited in some way where abusing multis would be a problem...
  9. It wouldn't make any difference actually. If Jagex did that macroers would just all get members to take advantage of the higher prices on goods that would inevitably result from slashing the supply on member worlds.
  10. I think they certainly pay more attention to banning autoers in members, to keep their paying customers happy, but that doesn't mean they ignore F2P. They ban thousands of autoers in F2P every month but the problem is that it's easy just to create a mass of new accounts and auto them back up to the levels they need.
  11. Finally got this level :) Now for 1900 :o And yes I'm going for 99 fm. I have plenty of logs in the bank for that.
  12. Meh, I've seen more. Unfortunately... What I don't understand about these autoers though is why they all blatantly use the default look. C'mon, it just screams: I'M AN AUTOER. You'd think the programmers would put in the little bit of extra effort to make them all unique so that Jagex might mistake some of them for skillers.
  13. I did collect some cards when it was 'cool', although I never really got into it that much, nor did I 'battle' anyone. In 4th grade it was Pokemon, and in 7th grade it was Yu Gi Oh. Still have around 80 crappy cards (that someone gave me way back when for $3...) of the latter laying around my room somewhere, the best of them being the blue eyes white dragon. Haven't even touched them in like 3 years.
  14. I have accounts on RSC, RuneHQ, and a couple others but I have literally 30x more posts on tip.it than all of those combined. I do have around 600 on RSOF though...
  15. Why do I still play? Because I'm one of those types that likes to suck every ounce of challenge out of a game that I can before moving on. This game has a lot of goals to set, and lots of things to be achieved, so I guess that's why I'm still playing.
  16. I could have sworn I was on this list before... maybe it was a different one. Anyway, add me please, got my cape many months ago
  17. True, it isn't so hard once you practice, but it's certainly one of the biggest challenges RuneScape has to offer. It isn't something you can complete on your first try, even with ideal equipment (if you did, then kudos to you). There are some 126s with 99 ranged that have had to attempt it several times... BTW there are people around level 45 that have completed it. It doesn't mean that the caves are easy to beat, it just means that those people are very, very good at the game; and have tons of cash to spend on runes.
  18. "27 July 2004 - Please report bugs you find!" would certainly suggest that they do. Well based on that I'm sure they log things like levels gained, quests competed ect, but I highly doubt they log every single click and keystroke. Besides, in that case all they had to do was look at the players questpoints which were probably over 350
  19. Safing: I only view this as pathetic in f2p pking. Eating to near full health when the max possible hit in f2p is like 33 (and that's when praying, and there are no ppots in f2p mind you...) is unnecessary. But in p2p... don't get me started. There are so many possible ways you could be brought down to nothing from 70-80% health in a matter of seconds... dark bow, dds, godsword, dharoks... you never know what your opponent has in their inventory. Although, eating at like 88/99 health is pretty pathetic on either f2p or p2p. Farcasting: Speaks for itself. Praying: If they want to waste their prayer trying to defend themself instead of trying to smite my whip, that's fine by me.
  20. You obviously haven't read through this thread then, or even the post above you. I consider getting arrested for making a burger too salty much stupider than any forum post, regardless of how many exclamation points are in it. That might have been a bit of an exaggeration though, I probably have seen stupider just can't remember. But I can say for a certainty that in legal matters this one takes the cake...
  21. I remember it well, watching it unfold live on the news. When I saw the first tower start to collapse my jaw nearly fell off... It isn't something that I think about all that much anymore, though. It was 6 years ago, and much has happened since then. There are much more pressing things on my mind now than that distant memory.
  22. That is the stupidest thing I've seen in my life. #-o Sent samples of the burger to the crime lab? WTF? Spilling salt on hamburger meat is a crime?
  23. Sadly there are bigger idiots in our society. But that is pretty stupid... Human weapons > His gun.
  24. Umm wow 70 farming and 73 smithing? 70 farming and 70+ smithing were goals of mine to be completed eventually, but it seems to me now that I'm going to have to expedite that. The rewards seem too good to pass up.
