I randomly decided to go KQing with someone. I didn't really know them, but they seemed nice enough. First time there, and I was a nervous wreck. Stupid cowardly me  We got 6 kills in before I needed to go. -
The general theory behind challenge scroll drops
Peronix replied to gunshafted's topic in General Discussion
I'm not positive, but it could've been the rarity of getting a dragon chain from cashing in barbarian assault points (too lazy to look it up, but i remember Jagex saying that also). That was my first guess actually. I looked it up and that says something like "As likely as Zamorak suddenly deciding to give up his evil ways". Doesn't matter, I just thought that was funny. My point is though, Jagex DID say that about something, and that would seem to imply that champion scrolls are simply a very rare drop. And then you can get multiples of the scrolls, also, so that disproves this theory right there. -

The general theory behind challenge scroll drops
Peronix replied to gunshafted's topic in General Discussion
"Rarer than a left half from a skeleton" Oh, well I know they said "rarer than a champion scroll from an imp" about something, I just can't quite remember what. Maybe chain from a dustdevil? Doesn't really matter actually. -
The general theory behind challenge scroll drops
Peronix replied to gunshafted's topic in General Discussion
Didn't Jagex once say something about third age being "rarer than a champion scroll from an imp"? Implying that the scrolls are, in fact, uber-rare drops? -
Yeah shade robes need something to distinguish them from priest robes I believe the shade bottoms even have the same examine? I support. Would make these robes less pointless.

Oh it is is it? I'm a member and I still can't use them on my clan F2P Pks. It would do F2P a lot more good because most of the large-team pking goes on there. -

After 93 decided to take a little break from FMing to hunt a little. Got 67-68 hunt, and put level pics in mis levelup section. Back to FMing now. -

Here's my interview. Great thread by the way, fun reading some of these interviews. [hide]When did you begin playing RS and how did you come across it? I came across RuneScape back in the 7th grade; a lot of people at my school played it. Heard many people talking about how they got x level, and I decided to start playing. Truthfully, I thought the game stunk, and I quit after a while, then in the 8th grade one of my RL friends re-introduced me to the game and helped me a bit. Have been playing it ever since, with the occasional 2-3 month breaks. I'm in the 12th grade now so... I've been playing a while. How did you pick your name? When did you start to use Tip.It? I actually have had this online name since 1999, before RuneScape even came out. I used it for e-mail, and then when I got into MMO's I started using it for my characters. However, just because someone is named 'peronix' dosen't mean it's me. It's rare, but I have encountered a few 'impersonators'. I started to use tip.it about the same time I started playing. It was always a useful help site. Although as you can see, I didn't sign up for the actual forum until 2005. Did you play any other MMO̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s and what type of other games do you enjoy? At the moment, besides RuneScape, I play Kingdom of Loathing, although I don't know if that counts as a MMO. It owns though, try it. And don't judge it the minute you see the graphics, either. I also used to play City of Villains some, I want to get back into it but I can't afford the $15 a month ATM. My char is level 35/50 on that game. As far as other games in general, I enjoy a good RPG, and I can stand some FPS games. Did you have any friends help you as you started the game? I had my RL friend help me, but he dosen't play anymore. He isn't nearly as dedicated to games he gets into as I am. He got me into Kingdom of Loathing, too, but he dosen't play that one anymore either. What is your proudest accomplishment? Fire cape, just by the huge amount of pride I got when I saw the beast fall. Way more satisfying than seeing "Your cooking/attack/fletching level is now 99". What is one of your favorite quests to do on game? My all-time favorite quest was the Underground Passage. It was defiantly the longest and most difficult quest I have ever done. It is probably easy now in RS2, but I wouldn't know. Legends probably would have been my favorite if I had gotten to do it in Classic, from what I've heard it was way, way harder back then. Are you a loner on the game or do you prefer to be with friends when skilling? I'm a loner. I've never had any lasting online friendships. What is your least/favorite skill? Why? Least favorite skill is mining. I hate it more than your typical Malaysian MMO. It's like the firemaking of the gathering skills. Favorite skill, despite its abysmally low Xp/Hour is RuneCrafting. Tons of profit, and certainly more interesting than skills where all you do is click on trees/rocks. On average, how many hours a day do you play? Well right now I play anywhere from zero to 8 hours a day, but the average I'd say is around 3. What are your current goals? DO you have a favorite skill that you like working on more than others? Current goals are 99 firemaking and 85 slayer. For some reason I enjoy FMing more than slayer :-k Do you ever think of quitting the game? Nope, but I do think about taking breaks from it. You never really quit this game anyway, most of the time you find yourself going back to the website to look at the recent updates, and if they bait you enough you come back. The only games you really do quit are ones that never get updated, or are just abysmally boring. Has being part of Tip.It helped you in any way? How? Yes, I find that updating blogs and posting achievements has kept me going towards goals that are otherwise pointless. How did you come across the Tip.It website? Google. Was looking for a RS help site and this one seemed the most helpful at the time. What do you like to do outside of the game? Hmm, well I enjoy cooking, I seem to have a natural gift for it. My experiments always seem to turn out better than my mom's. : No I don't like sports :P What would be the one piece of major advice that you would give to all fellow Tip.iters? If you set a goal that you find boring, find another boring goal you'd like to achieve and have two boring goals. That way if you get tired of one, you can work on the other, and when you get tired of that one, you can go back to the other. That's how I got 99 cooking and 4k chompy kills around the same time. No more than two goals though, it dosen't work so well after that. Trust me. [b]When did you begin playing RS and how did you come across it? Quote from Andrew taken from the RSOF: As he said, they're regularly banning thousands of bots now, a lot more than 4k. Although I don't know if that means they've made much progress, or that there are more bots to ban. I was bored a day or so ago, so I went to f2p worlds around port sarim and in 2 hours I accumulated 350+ names and sent them in to Jagex. There were around 50+ in each world, around that general area alone.
-
I don't get black demons all that often actually. But duradel does seem to be giving me a lot of suqahs recently... at least 5 times in the last 12 or so tasks.
-
I hope Jagex doesn't release any new skills anytime soon. All of my skills are 60+ atm, mostly 70+, I don't want yet another distraction from my current goals to get an ugly 1/1 to 60+, and I certainly don't want another skill to devalue my 1900 total like it did to my 1600, and 1700. Besides, what could the possibly release? The only thing that comes to mind is some kind of beastmaster skill; nothing else seems feasable.

Monday Poll: How efficently do Tip.It guides cover info
Peronix replied to MPM's topic in General Discussion
Like about 60% of everyone I chose the second option. Tip.it is really good, but it isn't perfect. -
Lol, it's general discussion, i.e a thread made to discuss the likelihood of such a thing happening - in this case. we should get a new sub forum general speculation Indeed. I get a little tired of all the speculative threads I see floating around. The fact is, you can't know for sure if something is going to be released until it's released. Even some updates in BTS don't get released, like wildy tag. Updates that Jagex has obviously been hinting at for years have yet to be released.

How many bronze/irons from 82 to 99 ranged without picking?
Peronix replied to N0thing_R34l's topic in Help and Advice
I'm assuming you'd use a msb and be training on something you can hit pretty regularly. From 82-99 range you'd be hitting 10-12 with irons. To take an average, you'd be hitting about 5 per arrow = 20 exp each arrow, divided by the 10.6m range xp you need for 99 = around 500k iron arrows. That's a lot of money. I'd recommend you try to get the accumulator. Of course, if you're f2p, which you failed to mention, you'd be using a lot more. -
That would be the best idea. Once you get to level 40 you can kill basiliks, which are actually very good experience and have some nice drops. That's what I trained on when I was your level.
-
After reading your rant; and btw, most of your points I already considered; I'd say the extra bankspace alone makes me better off than before the update. But then I also save time that I wasted before iding dropped guams-tarromins, and I also know which herbs I can't id are worth keeping. And aslo btw, you don't use 'alottt' of ppots on barrows. Well, at least I don't. I use mabye half a pot per trip. Some people use none.
