I'm sure they will eventually release dragon kin. But then I'm also sure they will eventually open prifdinnas (elf city), release blood crafting, summoning, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I've wanted to see. Just because they put it in the postbag doesn't mean it's coming soon. It is most likely coming, but according to Jagex's timetable, not ours.

Will Dark Bows and Dragon Arrows make a difference PKing?
Peronix replied to Lakitsym_Rose's topic in General Discussion
I bet you it won't, since the bow's req is 60... ... and because when Jagex releases a unique bow, it is almost always a (slow) longbow. If that is indeed the case, it would be much cheaper and effective to use a crystal bow. Of course that's just speculation; they might actually surprise us. -
would you play RS if you broke your wrist?pic, cast is off
Peronix replied to 816_f2p_total's topic in General Discussion
Yeah, what the heck else am I going to do while I have a broken wrist? Ride a bike? I think not. -
should we just report all *more than likely botters*?
Peronix replied to Infernalz's topic in General Discussion
Of course not :-s But if you see a huge mob of lvl 3-4s at yew trees, or elsewhere, in the typical "autoer" attire, it would then be appropriate to report the whole bunch of them. -

"Stick around for November and get some party hats at the Christmas event". I created my account June 2001, and I thought the game sucked so I quit and didn't touch my account till a year later. I REALLY regret that :x

Okay, I dunno which fixed my problem, but I dld that file, downloaded all the windows updates, and removed a few pieces of malware from my comp (spyware). It's working now.

If you mean remove 5.5 and install 6.1, that's exactly what I did. Same problem with both.

This is really starting to piss me off... every time I try to open RuneScape, it gets to the "Checking for updates" part of the loading bar and the browser just CLOSES. I tried it in IE, too, and the SAME thing happens, except it creates a file on my desktop called hs_err_pid1168.txt. I'm running Jave Runtime Environment 6 Update 1. Here's what's in the file: [hide=hs_err_pid1168.txt]# # An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00000000, pid=1168, Fastest money making method is staking, second fastest is RuneCrafting, or merchanting if you had a lot of money.

I believe the anti + is 10 minutes and the anti ++ is 15. It's basically just a guess, because I checked like 8 different fan sites through google and they all say "provides very long resistance", instead of a figure. That's probably because nobody uses them.

*Raises Hand* -.- I find it extremely depressing that we're speeding off into a grim future and the majority of the population is continuing to turn a deaf ear to scientists that proclaim this unpopular message. The population has many times in the past ignored scientists that warned them of looming disasters, and have paid the price for it. This is a price we're not prepared to pay. You'd think that if there was even a remote chance of anything that those scientists were talking about would happen, and that we might be responsible, we would try, even if a little to do something about it... but we're not. Our governments are not. And why not? Because nobody cares.

what was the best thing u gave to some1 for FREE?
Peronix replied to amazizing333's topic in General Discussion
A set of full rune to my IRL friend. He doesn't play anymore though. -
Should Jagex make RS a one-server game?
Peronix replied to Ginger_Warrior's topic in General Discussion
No, that would really suck. There are games like that, and it's really, really hard to find something to buy it, because there are many, separate economies. And if a training spot is packed, then I guess you'd be out of luck. -
Hell no. I really don't know what I would have done different if I didn't start playing RuneScape. I might have gotten slightly better grades (though I already have as and bs)... but I would have died of boredom if it wasn't for RuneScape.

What other windows do you have open while playing Runescape?
Peronix replied to Nero's topic in General Discussion
RuneScape one one of my moniters, then tif/whatever else i need on other tabs on my second. -
Whats Something You Invested In To Go Up... But It Didnt?
Peronix replied to salim123's topic in General Discussion
Santa. Was 20.8m, sold for 18.5. I'm such a merchant 8-) Well, since I sold all my stuff to buy that santa, I actually did make money, because the items I sold dropped more than the santa. Like my fury I sold for 5m is 4m now, guthans I sold for 9.5 is 8.2 now, ect. So once I buy my stuff back I'll have more spare cash than when I left. Although it would have been MUCH better if I DIDN'T BUY THE SANTA :x -
Personally, I like the PS3. It has all kinds of neat features, like being able to use a wireless mouse and keyboard with it. The XBOX 360 has a lot of great games for it, but it has been out for longer. And I have had a lot of problems with the XBOX; haven't had any troubles with the PS3 yet. BTW, I have all 3 consoles.

Y'know, the only reason those chain e-mails don't work is because people don't believe they will work, and nobody passes them on. If people would just have a little faith, do their part, and pass them on, mabye they would actually reach a good number of people.

people who overly trust people should they get scammed?
Peronix replied to Gunthixmage's topic in General Discussion
In any criminal case IRL, you will usually find that the victim probably could have done something a little more wisely. Like if someone had their car stolen or vandalized, maybe they parked it in a really bad neighborhood and maybe could have chosen somewhere a little safer. But they don't deserve to be wronged. Same thing in RuneScape. Just because someone trusts someone they barely know does NOT give the other person a justifiable reason to betray that person's trust. The truth is, we'd all like a game where everyone could trust each other, and that's why we sometimes take a chance on someone. People that betray their friends for money are what makes such a level of trust nearly impossible, and we would gladly do without them. -
I've never cried, but I've been angry to the point of breaking something; I think that was during MEPII, after I had failed the ledge thing for the thousandth time.

What skill do you enjoy the most - and why?
Peronix replied to Peronix's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, might as well reply to my own thread since it's almost a year old. RuneCrafting. It doesn't just make me the most money; I actually, genuinely enjoy it. -
Zip, zilch, nada. I heard something interesting though about why some people never get one. RuneScape uses a PRNG (a pseudo random number generator) to determine drops. The numbers generated by this generator are shared by everyone on a server, so if you have been somewhere for a while and have gotten zilch, it may be a good idea to switch servers. Oh, and the RoW DOES work, the reason you might get nothing with it on is the PRNG, not the row. However, it's practically useless to wear it with mid-low level monsters, because it only increases the chances of rune/dragon drops by 20%, and if the chances of that are already low you're not going to notice much of a difference. Where the RoW is absolutely essential is on higher level monsters, where the chances are much greater and can be significantly increased by the ring.

I made my account 6 years ago, in 2001. I have been seriously playing for 5 years.

I'm pretty sure I didn't. The rules are pretty much common sense like no badmouthing anyone, scamming, or whatever. It wasn't until I got somewhat into the game that I bothered to read the official rules.
