Rule 2 Change: Should Luring be alloud?
Peronix replied to Lakitsym_Rose's topic in General Discussion
Hell yeah. If you drive into a ghetto and knowingly park your car which is worth stealing don't expect it to be there the next morning. Of course there is a difference in morality between stealing Pixels and stealing a car. We can argue about whose fault it is all day, but in the end the carjacker, if he is caught, will be the one who is punished. Just the same, you can argue all day about how stupid luring victims are, but in the end, if you keep luring, you will be banned. You lurers, just like the carjackers, are an unpleasant element to this game; one that we would glady do without. While I agree that luring victims are somewhat dimwitted; it's part of the government's job (or in this case, the administrators of this game) to do their best to weed out all of the unpleasent elements in their territory to provide protection for the least among them. Your logic says that we should all just sit back and let the 'weak' fall prey to these unpleasant elements, because they 'deserve' it... but that just sounds like anarchy. -
Really hard for me. You have to get a champion scroll to get the 'victory is mine!' song, and those are really rare drops.
-
Yeah. For all we know, there are more miniquests like this somewhere; since Jagex won't comment on this one, there might be more  Anyone care to search the whole of RS in ghostly, ring, and ghost ammy? :P
-
In 112 combat levels and a combat 99 (attack) I haven't gotten a single dragon drop; have tried with metals, nothing of course in hudreds of them. It's all luck. Which I seem to have none of. I would stop trying to get drops if I was you. I never try to get drops. I just train slayer every now and then, and when they send me to dustdevils or metal dragons, I do those tasks. But still, no luck #-o

Same here, no idea where the fish-men gather The fishing guild mabye? :anxious: It's that cave just se of the guild. It's related to the dwarf cannon quest (i think). Go north in the cave, then into the crevice to the east. Apparantly the general is still pissed at me for killing his dog. Had to fight a ghost version of bouncer, level 160, no prayers. You've finished it already!? I saw you there and I've only just gone back to see him again, dam your quick. Yep. BTW, for anyone who needs help, here is a basic guide to the miniquest. Items needed: Full ghostly robes, ring of visibility, ghostspeak amulet. Speak to the general who is somewhere east of the relleka house portal. He will send you to the 'sin seer'. She can be found in the upstairs of the house in seers village where people commonly spin flax. Bring 40 gp and choose the 'bribe' option when you get it. Go back to the general with the note she gives you. The general will then ask you to speak to his four scouts. One is south of the gnome stronghold enterance, one is outside draynor manor, west of the gate, one is just south of shanty pass in the desert, and the last is south of Tai Bwo Wani. After speaking to the general again he will direct you to a cave near where the fisherman gather. This is of course referring to the cave used in the dwarf cannon quest near the fishing guild; upon entering the cave go north, then east, and into the crack. Make sure you have some food, armor, and a good weapon. You will be attacked by a ghost version of bouncer, level 160, and you can't use prayer. Kill him, and congrats, you get the sword and 2k slayer xp.

Ohh yes, that was severely annoying. That leg of the quest took me an hour or more. You have to wait for like 15 minues on one part for the guards to be in just the right position to avoid them. After having tried this minigame, I can't say that this experience was much better than that ^. You get teleported after every fruit, and you need multiple fruits per glass. And looking at the xp rewards for multiple glasses... this can't be more than like 5-10k xp an hour. GJ Jagex on yet another crappy minigame. Why not instead of taking months to put this kind of crap together; give old minigames worthwhile rewards so people actually do them  (*coughliketempletrekking*) I wager this one will be deserted by tommorow. ahem... that was 20 minutes work at the autumn garden Fair enough, I stand corrected. Still isn't very fun though :P

Those random little things that randomly appeared..
Peronix replied to ThoseTheBrokes's topic in General Discussion
Agreed. If that actually happened there would be a chance that some would have rares appearing in their banks. Or 'items' from the skill guides. (those are actually 'items' in the database; but of course not obtainable by any means). Not anymore. If you look at the skill guides, you don't get the examine option anymore. They're just pictures now. That's not the point. Besides, there are pleanty of other 'items' around RuneScape; like the runes used in runelink and such, pieces of the box puzzles, the 'bones to peaches' spell is also an item in the database, and so is that statue that you move around with telegrabs. And BTW I know all of this because I was researching private servers and I found an item list with corresponding itemcodes; and such items were on the list. -

Woodcutting Analysis: Dragon Axe vs. Rune Axe
Peronix replied to PhelimReagh's topic in General Discussion
Well my apprehension with buying the dragon axe is the chance that you will loose it when the head flies off. It happens to people all the time. Loosing a rune axe head = 15k lost. Loosing a dragon axe head = 3.2m lost. -
True. But first, you need to operate it first to make your cooking level 100. I thought the no-burn level for sharks was 103...

I have a pretty large collection of strength amulets I never use, like 50 of them - made them all of course. Now that I'm 70 crafting my stock of power amulets is also starting to rise, too. BTW I have like 2k balls of wool so I like never run out of those. I also have 30 strange fruits, 30 frog tokens, like 8 red eggs and one of each of the other two (MTK likes red eggs apparantly ), and around 5 of each sandwitch lady treat (baguette, square, and triangle sandwitches).

Yeah i've heard of this. According to Amazon customers, though, this books is basically for 'noobs'. Anyone with a decent knowledge of the game would find it throurgholy useless.
-
RuneScape community mabye. Good thing for tip.it then, because if I was over there the low morality level of people that go there might have rubbed off on me and I might be a lurer today.
-
How would you feel if some spoiled rich kid walked up to you and said "Yeah, my dad bought this blue phat for me on ebay, you like it?" Don't you think that your status in the game should be based upon what you do ingame?
-
It has better stats than a berserker helm, which most meleers wore out into the widerness. This one is slightly better and cheaper, so I fail to see how it's a 'crappy' item. It's a victory because they were outraged that they lost yet another item to loot in deathpiles, and now they can, so they can stop complaining.
-
I agree with all of that besides barrows gloves. They are the reward from a VERY long quest, and should remain non-tradable. Besides, there was never anything of any value worn in that slot. Before people wore steel/klanks gauntlets, which are both non-tradable.
-
PHEW good... now the PKers can stop complaining about how bad of an update this was, when in reality, it was a top notch quest, a great reward, and a useful area for training, for both pures and mains. (the trolls drop a lot of useful things; I got a few rune warhammers from them along with many sharks, laws, balls of wool, seaweed, and a few other alchables like addy fulls... and they also drop granite shields I believe).

Lol those kids are going to get owned IRL if they don't stop buying rs geepees for rl cash. I find it funny how that parent and that news team can do research on this game and then completely overlook the fact that doing that (RL<->RS item trading) is against the game rules. And yeah... chicken suit? #-o I honestly can't see how they could mistake the eagle outfit for a chicken suit, either.

It was before RS2 even came out. Members were given a fresh level 3 account in beta to test it out. There were many glitches, the most notable being the dupe glitch in party hall which allowed the duplication of items. People abused it like mad; though it didn't matter, since it was in the beta stage, and afterward Jagex deleted these accounts (and of course fixed all of the major glitches) then transferred the RSC accounts to RS2, then they launched the game.

Weekly Poll: Where do you play RuneScape the most?
Peronix replied to Kiara_Kat's topic in General Discussion
Home on my own comp. I can't remember when I didn't have my own computer. Last time my family had a 'family computer' was when I was like... 5... -
It was in the same category as the Party Hall duping bug. It was abused, but it didn't matter - all the items gained in beta were erased. Yeah I abused it to high heaven... had tons of d meds, d stones, rune items, cannons, eccetra. But like you said, it didn't matter. Jagex stated from the beginning items from the beta period would be erased as it was a test run only.
